He said it would eat 15 million.

So, it's very possible to need 8 million upfront

There’s a student loan, she can start her life with that. Atleast some that is looking for 8million should have 2 million. 10 - 15 million for start up

Where and when
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by northbird: 1:35pm On Sep 10
If anyone is trying to start a business. The idea should revolve around needs.. basics, things people can't do without.
E.g food business.
With all the noise of high cost of flour. Bread is something people must eat everyday.
There are several niches in the value chain. One necessarily might not need millions to start .

Bolt/Uber are the only transport operators not giving a commensurate proportional increase in their fares. Indrive seems to be on holidays.

I wanted to pick some items behind those mechanic workshop in kurata, behind agindigbi.

Bike from my house
Bike My house to Fagba..... 500 ( previously 400)

Fagba to ogba keke .... 400 ( previously 300)

Ogba to Alausa ..........400 ( previously 300)

That's @ least 25- 33% increase...... at least an average of 30% across board
I quite understand the reason for the increase....

My concern is actually those who earn meagre salaries n they have to transport daily to work
If to and fro Alausa, from New oko oba, not even inner, inner Abule-egba cost 2600..
Those earning like 50k monthly, how are they coping?

To even run business in Nigeria isn't encouraging, government can come up with a policy that will cripple the business, if someone have his way now, just leave this God forsaken country to a better country where your hard work will show...

Ibadan and Lagos is big.

Where is the starting point in Lagos and where is the ending point in ibadan?

But, from berger to iwo road (to&fro), 25litres should cover the distance cox that's about 300km.

To be on safer side, buy 40litres of fuel, it should cover you wherever you're starting from in Lagos and wherever you're going in ibadan.

Earning 355k/month already but not enough in this Lagos despite being a single guy. Rent alone na 800k/month for small kolombo self contained apartment for mainland.

It is well sha undecided

Ok. Make sure you are the owner of the Car.

And prepare for the sufferings and small profit that comes with the hustle.

Good luck

That's exactly what I plan doing. I'm an FG worker, so I plan getting a loan to buy like a #4m used Camry 2003 or thereabout, then move about with it paying off from my salary and also the income I might use it to bring occasionally from the riding app.

Instead of all this 1k/hr side gigs I'm doing in my work.

Pls don't make the mistake to take loan to enter this business, for your mental health sake, pls don't do that....

Either you use your personal money and get the car or find a rental car...

Honestly.
IFSHR left this country less than 2yrs ago and he could comfortably gift 200k now. That's evident that he's well settled over there and is already doing well for himself.

It cost both him and his partner less than 5m to run the whole package then. And now it costs averagely 20m to move to the UK.
Imagine what would become of him, if he didn't make that wise decision to leave at that time, cos he may not afford the current cost, if he had stayed back.

I'll say it again,
If you're not above 35yrs and you're a graduate with a degree, please leave the country, if you can afford it.

Did the see where I said I'll be paying back- comfortably so, with my salary?

Besides is finding a rental car not the same as taking a loan? It's even worse in my opinion, cost it means you go use the car hustle day and night.

Me I just plan to use the car as a side gig, as my salary is gonna enter 550k by next year ending by God's grace. Deductions by my bank from my monthly salary will pay off the loan comfortably over the space of 5years, even if I no use the car hustle at all, let alone when I use it as a side gig, which most rental will never give you!

Think this my line of thought well again bro, and let me know what you think.

Your line of thought is perfect.

Getting a loan in this high inflationary environment can never be wrong in my eyes. Especially one with payment plan that can be spread over 5 years.

You'll likely never be able to save up to buy that car. Even if you manage to save up, it will be 6-7m by the time you're ready.

I thought the intention was to use the car solely for Uber and pay off the debt with whatever you get from the hustle, i didn't see where you said you intend to use your salary to clear the loan....

Rentals isn't the same with taking loan to buy a car, rental will still give you sense of peace since the car isn't yours, and there will be no pressure on you coz you will know if you fail to remit and owner decides to retrieve his car, you're not loosing anything other than job. But when you take loan, the pressure to clear the loan, work pressure, car maintenance pressure and all will be a huge burden on you.

Anyway, since you intend to use your stable salary along with whatever you get from the car hustle, then it's fine....

Goodluck
