Lol. When the 'moderator' is tying you to white supremacist talk just a month prior, you already know what the business is

Let's ask ourselves a honest question. Who do you think those 'moderators' are gonna vote for? Your guess is as good as mine.

Do I think Trump could have done better? Yes but I will always respect a candidate that pulls up at the opps and gives his authentic takes than a shielded industry plant like Kamala who is stealing ideas from everyone including her opponents.

Where have you seen a candidate ever carefully curate appearances, no primaries, handpicked interviews, even the so-called debate no push backs. If that's not industry plant I don't know what is

He should agree to more debates.
Let Kamala pick one from MSNBC or wherever and let him pick one.
Her response to the economy question is proof she'll have dropped a word salad or tripped up if a moderator had pressed her to answer questions and fact checked her lies.
Someone should have told her. Charlottesville: That's a lie. It's been debunked. Project 2025: That's a lie. 800K jobs. That's a lie.
The economy: You didn't answer the question. Afghanistan withdrawal: You didn't answer the question.

I've had time to let the hoopla die down and review and reflect on the debate.
I was way too hard on Trump. He did better than ok.
The moderators were wrong with the most glaring fact-checks.
Ten US states allow abortion up to birth (they do not have a gestational ceiling). This is huge. I had to research this.
And ABC f*cking reported on it. But then during the debate, they straight up lied just to taint Trump.
Even the immigrant geese and pet thing was a fair characterization. Immigrants have killed geese, cats, and dogs in America.
Like that's factual.

I'm still waiting for a news conference and hardball interview from her.
Her last with Dana Bush was a preview of how a proper debate would have gone.
Dana pressed her several times. That was where the "my values haven't changed" blooper dropped.
Shake the tree and fruits will drop.
All the times Trump took her to task, he landed real chops and she was stumped. Go to Biden and get him to close the border. Are you okay with abortion in the 7th, 8th, 9th month.

Trump should insist on fair moderation.
Since the moderator is the arbiter of truth. He needs to have one playing for his team.
I actually think he should agree to two more debates, but with fair moderation. Two moderators. They pick one each.
Let's have a 2 v 2 fair fight since that's the game they want to play.

Once you fact-check her Project 2025 and abortion up to birth is legal in blue states, she's done.
Then pile on with more fact-checks about inflation, Afghanistan, her records. Like list all the things she changed her opinion on.
He can still flip this into ABC carried water for her. In a fair debate, she gets whacked.
It goes without saying that he should not take her bait. Punt that back to her if she tries it again. And f*cking listen to your advisors!

She will create an opportunity economy for libs 😂😂😂

What they hell is that she didn't explain. She just uses buzzwords to make it sound good.

Trump. Should not be agreeing to these bs leftwing networks. They only have one goal and he should avoid it. If there should be a debate, it will be in a town hall settings, bring in Sean Hannity or Megyn Kelly and Jake Tapper to moderate the debate

Even Jake Tapper in his segment was like, "What was that"?

And Trump needs to prepare for the next one. When she has another empty word salad filled with platitudes and buzzwords; simply ask, how does that answer the question.

How can you be asked if things are better today and your answer is that you'll create an opportunity economy.
Like by all means avoid questions if you want. That's the staple of being a politician. But the moderator should press on it.
Let it be apparent that she wants to skate past the big issues that affect Americans.

Kamala proposed it. Trump should go for it.
But only when at least one moderator is a centrist.

She bombed this one, she only wanted one. He shouldn't be giving her what she wants since she won't do the same. They should focus on other stuff like making sure asylum seekers like me don't vote. IjeBos will agree with this.

MY THOUGHTS ON THE U.S PRESIDENTIAL DEBATES

I know it's coming late, in my defense, I was uninterested in commenting on it, but nevertheless I later felt the urge to do so.

The debate to me was nothing presidential, but everything of a Hollywood comedy sitcom where two adults that called themselves presidential candidates spent at least 90 percent of the time, one, lying, and two, rambling or blaming depending on who was speaking, all these without talking extensively on policies.

Trump was a pathological liar, and off-pointed rambler. Kamala Harris was a pathological liar and blamer of Trump for all the misfortunes that had befallen the country under the Biden-Harris administration. I can't count the number of times I had to scream or utter,

"Jesus!!!!! Trump that's a lie."

"Trump for fück sake, stay on track and answer the question."

"Trump enough with the millions and millions of illegal immigrants pouring into our country... and fücking answer the question."

"Mr 'the illegal immigrants are eating our dogs, cats and pets'."

"Mr 'concept of a plan'."

"Woman, Trump is not responsible for that, Biden and you should take responsibility."

"But you've been the vice president for three and half years Kamala, why didn't you ensure such was done. Why now?"

"That's a lie, Kamala!!! Trump never said that... that's not true."

"Really Kamala!?... project 2025, national abortion ban, Trump is anti IVF... really!?"

"Don't tell us your history Kamala, answer the fücking question!"

"Mrs 'Trump caused it'."

"Mrs 'Bidenomics is working, but we need to fix the economy'."

I watched the debate hoping to see two minds talk deeply about policies, but no, all I saw were two aggrieved teenagers in adults bodies settling personal "you did not take me to prom night, and this is the reasons why I didn't do it" scores. It was an eyesore. I have to admit, the Nigerian presidential election was way better than this junk we call presidential debate. So much for being the champions of democracy.

Funny enough, Trump and Harris in their White orange masculinity brain, and black Indian feminine brain respectively would think they won the debate. So ridiculous.

WHO WON THE DEBATE?

Well, I'm tempted to say none, but Trump's finishing statement was the finisher. So because of that, I would say he won the debate by hitting home with that one despite his uncoordination, lies and off-point ramblings.

Kamala talked about very few beautiful polices e.g $50K tax deductions for small and medium size business start-ups (which I personally support), but if she really had the intentions of serving Americans with these policies, why didn't for the past three and half years of being the vice president of the United States of America ensure it was done, or at least made the effort to do it? If she really cared, why didn't she do it? She was and is the VP for three and half years, why not work with Biden to execute at least some, if not all, of those "sweet policies".

* You want to help the middle class, why didn't you do it or make efforts to do it for the three and half years as the VP of the Biden-Harris adminstration?

* You want to fix the economy, why didn't you do it for the three and half years as the VP of the Biden-Harris adminstration? And please remind me whose administration brought such inflation to the economy again? And please remind me who said Bidenomics is working?

* You want to establish a two state solution to end the Israeli-Hamas war, why haven't you and Biden made any effort towards that these past months?

* Regarding securing the border, tackling the Russia-Ukraine war, and restoring abortion to the federal level, why didn't you, in partnership with Biden, do them or made efforts to do them for the three and half years as the VP of the Biden-Harris adminstration?

If she didn't do them or made efforts to them, why and how should and can we trust her to do it?

Truth is, I was expecting Harris to address the elephant in the room... the elephant of the incompetence or underperformance of the Biden-Harris adminstration especially in matters of economy, border security, energy, global wars, cancel culture, radical woke etc, and why and how she was going to be better. If she had done this, she would have gotten my support.

As a liberal... moderate liberal, I'm not a supporter of neither, but after this debate, if I'm to pick a side, I would go with Trump because of;

* His concluding speech.
* Harris failure to address the above stated elephant in the room.
* Trump's performance when he was the president.

And that's my tiny tweeny two cent.

You're both siding this.
Imagine sitting in front of a fire hydrant/hose and trying to drink from it. That is tantamount to what any debate with Trump is like. It's a torrent of lies, BS and teenage insults. In that environment it is impossible to have a thorough debate on substance. It doesn't work when one party can lie every time he opens up his mouth. Go back and look at the past debates with say Obama and Romney. What has changed recently that's made the debates less policy driven.. Trump. The tell is that half the country supports a man that still doesn't have a health care policy 9 years later and thinks tariffs could take over tax revenue, that hospitals kill babies post birth and that immigrants eat dogs and cats.

And, honestly, you are making this argument with the belief that only if people did things perfectly will things be perfect. Biden could have made all the right economic decisions, that doesn't mean everything would be perfect esp. after Covid. There is inflation in Canada, they are blaming Trudeau. What you should do instead is look at the alternative policies and see if they would have made things better. What policies have Trump or the GOP proposed that would reduce inflation? None. Tax Cuts, inflationary. Tariffs, inflationary. Lower interest rates, inflationary. It's voodoo economics. That is the reason the Economy tends to fair better under Dems. They are comfortable letting the science(Economics) work. That is the reason an evil company like Goldman would endorse a Dem like Kamala.

Biden's failure was not explaining to the country what would happen. The same thing happened with Obama. The Republicans didn't want to bail out the auto companies, were talking about austerity, all the BS Vodoo economics they are known for. What happened. Obama stuck to his guns and the US faired better than other countries.

This is a fairly accurate summary of the debate

Trump was pressed more by the moderators and gave more answers,
Trump every answer was Immigration, Illegal immigrant and border wall

Harris gave no answer at all, You can watch the debate 100 times and not pick any answer on her policy positions

They ask a question, she throws around many words without actually hitting home on anything concrete
Harris was not fat checked by the moderators and it seemed that is backfiring now

The Harris candidacy has been from
1. Avoiding debates and the press
2. Went to a friendly press, where it was all recorded with her VP
3. Went to a debate where the moderators refused to ask hard questions, refused to press her for details and refused to fact check her

To the unbiased mind it shows she is not ready or she is been cuddled which I think is even worse

Trump has always said the mainstream media is against him for the past 9yrs, now to do this when over 70m people are watching

Partisan folks will likely claim their candidate won the debate, Genuine independents will be left wondering why the blatant bias

The question is: have you ever have a thought on your own?

China is arguably America's #1 adversary in 2024.

How many questions did the moderators ask Kamala the sitting VP about China?

A BIG FAT ZERO!

They just allowed her to lie without fact-checking. And even the pressing questions Americans needed answers to, they didn't have the decency to press her when she spurned the questions.

Worse, they pressed Trump on the border bill when Kamala brought it up. They fact-checked him.
But when Trump asked her to state her position on third trimester abortion, they insisted on moving on.
I don't think we can even call this an assist. This was a coordination.

raumdeuter:
Moderator is asking Kamala why they kept the Trump tariff and she said lots of things but answer the question on why they kept the tariff

raumdeuter:
So what is the answer to why her policies have changed? Lots of words no answer

raumdeuter:
The question is how do you break the stalemate in Israel vs Hamas

When Kamala responds let us know

raumdeuter:
Kamala do you bear any responsibility for the Afghanistan withdrawal?

No response just lots of words and nothing to address the question

I copy paste from Facebook. Moderators in a debate should take an oath to execute the debate impartially. They should be surcharged . If a tweet text your vote to a cellphone number got someone jailed , how about this disgusting behavior by mods when 70% ( ? ) of the voters were tuned in.

ABC NEWS Anchor David Muir, you lied about late term abortions. There are seven states that allow for late term abortions, with NO restrictions and they are as fellow:

Washington DC
Vermont
New Jersey
New Mexico
Colorado
Vermont
Oregon
Alaska

Donald J. Trump, was correct on this issue as well. It is crystal clear that ABC NEWS was biased in their moderator duties and DID NOT deliver a fair debate.

The moderator last night LIED again, always verbally supporting Harris while calling Trump a liar -- he spoke Truth. There are actually 9 states that have NO BAN whatsoever on abortion no matter the length of pregnancy. TIM WALZ the VP candidate - has had EIGHT babies BORN alive that were failed attempts at abortion, and those babies were set aside an allowed TO DIE ! In fact, Tim Walz last year, signed into law a bill that removed a requirement to try to save the life of a baby born alive after an attempted abortion. -- POINT OF pointing out these lies and misrepresentations by Kamala: WHAT ELSE is she not being truthful about? Her agenda?

Your argument is akin to, why did the refs call a red flag on the player who kicked the opposing player in the face nowhere near the ball.
You don't seem to be concerned that Trump repeatedly lied about things he had been called out for repeatedly in the past.
But, you seem to be upset that he was called out for those obvious lies.

If you are upset that your candidate can't win a debate without obvious lying. The issue may be with you and your candidate.

Now it makes sense why Kamala did not agree to the FOX debate scheduled earlier.
She wasn't prepping for a debate. She was rehearsing script lines for her role in a Broadway play.

The production, let's not call it a debate, was tailor-made for dems and left-leaning independents.
It was to gin up enthusiasm for their candidate, since this is shaping up to be a turn-out election.
The platitudes, the faces, the one-sided fact-checking.
That explains why no one on the left is saying anything about how she didn't properly answer the economy question.
Because they know that is a liability. It's okay if not preferred to skirt it.

What matters is that Trump was put off his game.
The Harris administration was not litigated even though she's the incumbent.
She essentially went into this production with a net perception of being a continuation of Biden's horrendous record and came out of it with no material change.

Douglass Mackey, was sentenced today by United States District Judge Ann M. Donnelly to 7 months in prison for his role in a conspiracy to interfere with potential voters’ right to vote in the 2016 election for the Office of the President of the United States...............
........
Mackey conspired with other influential Twitter users and with members of private online groups to use social media platforms, including Twitter, to disseminate fraudulent messages that encouraged supporters of presidential candidate Hillary Clinton to “vote” via text message or social media...............
........ the defendant tweeted an image depicting an African American woman standing in front of an
"African Americans for Hillary” sign. The ad stated: “Avoid the Line. Vote from Home,” “Text ‘Hillary’ to 59925,” and “Vote for Hillary and be a part of history.”

7 months in jail for a tweet that only loonies would believe

The two moderators should see jail. There has to be a stop to such election interferences

This is what they did:

This clip https://x.com/WesternLensman/status/1833869730735603919
may be the most egregious example of ABC debate moderators' direct actions/inactions to affect viewers’ perceptions of the information presented at the debate.

There are at least seven instances of this within a two-minute span.

This is not “bias."

It’s much worse.

This is direct, planned interference in the debate outcome. When moderators take on the role of “fact checkers" the inference is that the absence of a “fact check” confers validity to the non-fact-checked information.

When one side is repeatedly “fact checked,” while the other is not, that is a signal to the viewer that one side is not reliable and truthful, while the other side is.

The ABC moderators had their orders, and here you see those orders executed.

In this clip:

1) Trump says Pelosi is responsible for security at the Capitol. True. Muir intervenes on Kamala’s behalf by cutting him off with snarky retort, doesn’t acknowledging the validity of Trump’s statement, and immediately redirects to Kamala to set up her “answer" he knows is coming. This is direct action by Muir to affect the outcome of this exchange.

2) Kamala says she was at the Capitol on J6. She was there in the morning, but left to go to DNC HQ prior to the riot. Critical information is omitted. No fact-check.

3) Kamala says Trump incited a mob to attack the Capitol. False. Trump’s “peacefully and patriotically” comments are ignored. Trump is not charged with inciting violence. No fact check.

4) Kamala says that “some" police officers died on January 6. False. No fact check.

5) Kamala recites the Charlottesville “Fine People” hoax. This has been thoroughly and repeatedly debunked. No fact check.

6) Kamala recites the “stand back and stand by” hoax. This is designed to infer that Trump was ordering a “militia” to act on later orders, when he was clearly asking for a cooling of tensions. No fact check.

7) Kamala recites the “bloodbath" hoax. Trump was talking about the automobile industry, not violence. No fact check.

when people have been accusing you of avoiding media and the next debate you had to get a tag team support to make your points, then maybe those critics were right

She is still not going to do a press conference or hardball interview.
She has not even tried to take a quasi victory lap by having a media interaction.

She went into a 3 v 1 debate and lost on substance.

Incidences of Kamala outright lies during the debate have been posted here by several people. The moderators didn't fact check her, they outright knew she was lying on most issues that ABC had reported on previously.
Yet Trump is the liar.
It's like you are allowed to lie as long as it advances the liberal causes. You are telling us to disbelieve our eyes and ears (include audio earrings).
There is a name for that. Taqqiya. I think you know what I mean.

So, if you don't like reality, just invent a new one?
It's not surprising that black people that support a Racist white person in a country they've never been to are all mentally ill.

The only way to prevent a reoccurrence is for both candidates to choose one moderator each in every future election debate.

Each candidate should get a partisan activist in their corner.

It's also seems Canada already denied your asylum case and you've been booted back to Nigeria.

Megyn Kelly is amazing.

She called out the hatchet job in real-time even before the debate ended.
Then she led the crusade and now that everyone has had a good rest, we're nodding in agreement.

Because at first, everyone just accepted that it was a given that the moderators will be biased.
But not to fact-check her once. Even on blatant lies that they know to be untrue.
Not to press her on questions, while they do so to Trump.

It was a disgrace.

Everything in this post makes me sad.
You should probably google the stages of grief.
Seems your emotions are being manipulated.

You should ask yourself why you are so emotional about Trump performing so badly, to have emotions that Kelly can manipulate to make you sound like a nutter.
I mean you're someone who doesn't even live in the US.
And when Trump was talking about immigrants eating pets, you do know he was referring to people like you and me. Black immigrants.

That's the way it should be . The previous elections before 2016 was a boardroom deal. Whoever won was acceptable to both the RNC and DNC.
Trump, the outsider upset the arrangement and the outsider has to be fought by all means. To make sure the presidency does not end up with an uncontrollable person eg Trump or Kennedy Jr.

Why did the moderators not call out all those 20 plus lies by Kamala? They knew she was lying , especially on the abortion matter, ABC had already reported on the states position on abortion via this map.

https://abcnews.go.com/amp/US/state-state-breakdown-abortion-laws-2-years-after/story?id=111312220

Linsey knew about these states that have no abortion limit definitely but she lied.
