The accounts for one financial year must be audited and filed with statutory and regulatory bodies e.g. CAC, FIRS, NUPRC etc before interim or quarterly results of subsequent years can be released.
The FY2023 audited accounts for Oando is due for release by ending September

shocked shocked cool

The news on Nairametrics says dollar is now N1,543 which is an improvement . Hopefully, it would improve and get to around N1,000./$

By the way, when is Alhaji listing the refinery on NGX?

News abi reality in the market?

I don't know when NUPRC came in as a financial regulator of listed oil companies akin to CBN with banks. Maybe it is provided for in the PIA. I noted that Oando claims to be submitting their results to the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) for vetting before release. As NUPRC came out of the controversial NNPC I am personally not comfortable with them being a financial regulator of listed oil hicompanies.

NUPRC as regulator (if permitted by law) may impose additional penalties on upstream companies if they fail to comply with some requirements, like the CBN does for banks, in addition to the SEC rules/penalties. Although I know rhe banks have a peculiarity that is different from other sectors.
NCC too may do that if permitted by law.
The sector regulator should be allowed to impose additional penalties that would enhance transparency and accountability
I think SEC can impose heavier penalties to minimise the delay in filing audited accounts by companies like Oando and others

₦776 is a massive gain for Nigeria (that's circa ₦341 savings per litre).

Aren't these the same 'marketers' fighting to be allowed to continue importation at ₦1117 per litre?

There are many contractual terms involved in deals like this but let's just leave it like that... smiley

On the issue of 'being on the queue', let me paint a scenario: What IF DR signed similar 'distributorship' agreement with NNPC?

The fact that MRS. ETERNA et al are NOT tagged EXCLUSIVE or SOLE distributor leaves the door wide open wink

On second thought, I feel the NNPC distributor deal is a clause inserted in the crude-for-naira deal.
Let's wait and see how it relates to subsidy in due course

Things are gradually looking positive for Nigeria and hopefully listed companies on the NGX will benefit from this positive economic outlook.

Companies within the Dangote Group will tremendously benefits from this breakthrough. I am buying

1. DANGOTE Cement
2. Dangote Sugar
3. Nascon

Sentiment favors these stocks... Market will respond positively to these stocks.

This makes a lot of sense sha. Since the cabal that has allegedly scuttled efforts to revive the refineries so far, will have no more incentives to keep doing so. Dangote invested heavily in his refinery which has capacity to meet all Nigeria's current major refined products needs. He
can not be expected to give in to them without a fight. That should actually be a win-win for the economy.

Kaduna n Warri are mulled to be privatized.. Their turn around maintenance hasn't even started yet.

PH-Refinery is the only tiny bit of hope in the short term (but for sabotage n politics) added to the proposed 100,000bpd refinery to be built by NNPCL just beside the PH-refinery in the Long term..

So I will definitely be surprised if they "suddenly" start functioning not to mention PMS production.

Further info on this, the exit by the PE will likely be a public offer/ offer for sale. So not necessarily a dump in the market and investors will likely be aware ahead of time. Think back to MTN IPO in 2019, and then offer for sale in 2021 at a discount to market price. Seems to be the case here again. When exactly will it be, not sure, will bring more information here as it comes

Kindly throw more light. What is PE? A'm sorry, I'm new here.

Why do you think it is only NNPC that can buy directly from Dangote refinery?
I want to believe that N776 being quoted is a subsidized figure.

It's part of the crude purchase deal.
NNPC sells crude to DANGREFINE in ₦ and they, in turn, buy PMS and Diesel (of equivalent value) from them in ₦.

The exclusivity of purchase is acclaimed to be a temporary arrangement... smiley

NEXT SUPPORT IN SEARCH, AS PZ SELLING PRESSURE INCREASES
With the new low created in the last trading week, PZ is now in search of a new support level in order to hold the falling price. IF 14 level cannot hold the price, then PZ may likely drop to between 10.10 - 13.12.
