Not so good especially at B2 level they talk really fast

Check YouTube, PrepMyFuture and also the main TEF website (lefrancaisdesaffaires).

Duolingo is a soft introduction to the French language. A lot of us started with Duolingo (including myself), but after a while, you would need to move on to studying grammar proper, listening to French audios etc.

To add to what @79733139 has said, in addition to Duolingo, download Busuu and French (by zeemish labs).
Again these apps offer introduction to simple french, but they are a good start.

I would suggest we should be careful the kind of names we recommend as tutors for people looking to learn or advance their french

Mr Julius Marius is undoubtedly not one to be recommended.

He was recommended and I contacted him to register for monthly class for 4 months.
Paid him for the first month, and not even one class happened.
Why? His ego couldn't accommodate questions. How do I proficiently read in a language I am trying to learn? If I can read it, why do I need him?

We settled for refund and he claimed he was sick and needed time to come up with the payment I just sent him less than a week of July 28th. He managed to refund 60% of what I paid end of August.

Yes it can, but to develop and improve conversational french, you must learn with a native speaker or a proficient french as a second language Person.

YouTube has tonnes of resources as well. Learnfrenchwithdylan. Free telegram french learning channels.

Don't pay anyone for any french material. Most of it are available for free on the internet

I wouldn't advice you to rely on any tutor here except for free and at their own time

It is possible to appeal Expression orale. Reach out to the center (call or email) and tell them you want to remark. They'll send you the procedure to follow.
As long as you're still within the window to remark.

Happy to share that after nearly 1.5 years of studies, I cleared my 1st (and last) TCF at Alliance Francaise Lagos and received ITA yesterday in the French draw.

French took my CRS to 508 which was way more than the CRS needed for the draw, 446. I am truly grateful to God.

I'll be back to share tips and advice but first, a big shout out to all the OGs who made this thread such a valuable resource. Each time I was discouraged, I would come here and read stories of people who had made it.

N.B. If TEF is showing you shege, TCF might be a source of respite. Don't sleep on it.

If you're learning French for fun that would work, but for TEF/TCF ? I wouldn't recommend based on cost

It's enough to enter the pool. Try to remark that writing, see if it comes back a 7. The difference between a 6.5 and 7 is high. So enter the pool, while you apply for a remark.

Please can any one help share the french resources they used to learn french. including the vocabularies.

Thanks. It’s actually IELTS General UKVI. Can I use that for Canada since it’s mainly for UK visas and a monitored variant of IELTS General. Also, does CRS score of 430 stand a chance as that is the max I can get with French added due to my age

No, unfortunately. You'll have to take the non-UKVI general IELTS.
430 does stand a chance. Thing is, the french score was never going to stay low, the last draw a few days ago was 446, a huge jump from 394 of the draw before this.
So, try to do IELTS exam and enter the pool as soon as you can, to beat the new profiles that keep being added.

You have to take the IELTS General (for immigration to other countries except UK), the one you took is specifically for UK. Express Entry doesn't accept IELTS General UKVI.
