I gave the OIS staff my GTB payment receipt, my OIS acknowlgment slip, my ds 160 confirmation letter, 2 passport photographs and passport booklet. She gave me back the GTB receipt, she use took the OIS acknowledgement slip and typed on her computer to confirm my appointment was booked for that day (she confirmed and gave me back the OIS paper) she also checked my last visa and confirmed that I qualified for IW. Then she took my passport booklet, 2 passport photographs and my ds confirmation letter, pinned them together and kept. I filled the register and that was it. No question was asked about my old appointment which was scheduled for December 2 2024 and no question was asked about the AVITS appointment cos it’s not needed there.

I paid using the first bank transfer link but my IW document is saying I should go along with my gtbank receipt . But what I have is a first bank receipt.

Yes I was getting the error messages before, I would see dates and when I clicked I would get either this slot has been used or something went wrong error message, hence when I clicked on the oct date and it went I was in complete shock because I would never have booked October I was trying to see if I would get the error message. Then one day I saw April and I tried again to see if it would go through and it went through but right now there is no date till July and i do not know if the July dates will give the same error msg . My advice would be keep trying you just never know when any of the slots will open up. If i see any new dates i will let you know

So I finally stumbled upon lots of available dates yesterday and picked an earlier date. However, I’d leaned into some clues from you, in that, I picked a farther/less preferred date then that somehow opened additional earlier date slots which I’d preferred. Or could have all be coincidental following their website updates. All the same, I’m grateful for your help. 🙏🏾

You should have 3 reschedule attempts, so I'd say use your first attempt to pick the earliest dates that's available. It might be Nov 2024, through May 2025, I'm not sure, I don't have any more attempts so I can't see what is available anymore. Once you've secured a decent date, then check periodically for closer dates. How I found my October 2024 date was I noticed that there were additional dates that were added to the already existing fake dates, so I tried one and it got approved. Good luck.

I also noticed there's no place to update my DS160 number on the Avits website like we used to do on USTraveldocs. Should I be worried? Or can I prepare to attend the interview on the new date?

1. Try to save or download your payment reference .

2. Login to AVIT and delete both profiles.

3. Go back to AVITS and sign up again with new email and phone number . Then open a ticket in the new profile or initiate another appointment.

Please, did you create a new profile on AVITS before receiving the link? Or you simply waited to receive the link? Because I paid via GTB before migration but did not book an appointment because I was waiting for migration. Created a new profile on AVITS on September 2nd because I thought that links were only being sent to people with appointments. Maybe I should delete my newly created profile on AVITS then, and wait for the link.

You don't need to delete the newly created profile on AVITS according to their customer care, it doesn't affect it. They will send the activation mail. Or have you receive the activation mail yet? I haven't receive activation mail too.

Hello House, who know what happen to booking system. I after waiting 2 years My MAY 2 2024 Appointment, when I got there was told if I didnt get update that my day was moved to novemeber 2024. Then I left the embassy. Now after chanhing to new booking platform. I no longer see my date, instead I am only seeing the expired appointment which was the one of May
