Good day all. Please I need a candid advise as am very confused here. My fiancee im intending to marry has high prolactin level. She did a test in an hospital months ago and they detected it on about 60ng/ml. Some drugs were prescribed. She took the first batch and went back for a test. The test results shows drop to about 40. They prescribed more of the drug, which she took and it dropped again to about 32. She continued on additional dosage. Only for her to go for another test, and the result shows her prolactin level to be 86. She has to do a pregnancy test; and it reads negative. I'm so scared if this will affect our chances of having kids. She eats right. No junks and only fruits. She is not overweight. I don't know what to think. And she is 36. Please advice house. |

zub: Try dostinex. Prolactin can be easily managed. Stress and Nipple stimulation can easily trigger the prolactin of a woman 1 Like |

Funkey20: IN addition, go on organic vegetables. Spinach, okra, avocado, nuts etc. Exercise also for proper blood circulation. Add a good supplement also like pregnacare or fhpro. Drink enough water and relax |

My wife is 5 weeks and 5 days pregnant (last period Aug 14) and blood test and urine has confirmed pregnancy. Since last week Wednesday we have been noticing light spotting occasionally. Sometimes we see tiny clots of blood in her deejay. We were at the hospital today and paid a lot of money for evaluation. Doctor says : 1. he has confirmed that no signs of ectopic pregnancy (tubal) . 2. He however said he is unable to see a gestational sac in the uterus. He used a small scanner that I personally doubt its efficacy. 3. He said the only other thing that can cause a non visible gestational sac is a complete miscarriage since he is sure there is no ectopic pregnancy. Now he has referred us to another laboratory for a scan on Saturday (pregnancy will be 6 weeks and 4 days at the time.) My question is, 1. shouldn't he be doing a transvaginal scan instead of a pelvic scan as that is more accurate ? 2. Is referring us to another lab a subtle admittance that their equipment is not adequate ? 3. Is it possible to have a complete miscarriage and just experience light spotting like my wife is having? She only notices it when she wipes and even the doc said what he saw during examination is not a cause for concern. Please advise me as I am really loosing my mind here. sad |

GuyInTheMirror:This is to give an update. We were at diagnostic center and did a trans-veejay today. The sonographer said... he is unable to see a gestational sac, he noticed however that the endometrium is significantly thickened. He also said no signs of ectopic pregnancy. And miscarriage is also a doubt cos most miscarriages will still show gestational sac except its complete miscarriage of which the bleeding will be heavier and significantly more noticeable. Is it possible to have a complete miscarriage and not have any signs of it? He asked again if we had a positive pregnancy test and we told him we have tested thrice in different places and result is positive. His suggestion is that the pregnancy might be younger than we think, even if my wife last menses was Aug 14 he feels if she ovulated much later pregnancy might be younger and so making it difficult to see a gestational sac even with Trans-veejay. Now we asked him what could be causing th blood clot, he said there is no sign of ectopic pregnancy same thing the gynecologist said he thinks the clot may be due to changes in the uterus or even from fibroid(my wife has small fibroids) . The conclusion is that we wait for 2 more weeks and come back for a scan. Any inputs is welcome. |

Oga relax, that's what happened to me I almost died of thinking until I met a doctor after several scans. Even blood test didnt captured mine early self, always negative after positive urine. My blood test came out positive after 5 days of urine positive test. He told me to come back after 3 to 4 weeks. He said it happens to some women because the pregnancy is too early. I went exactly 4 weeks and my baby sac was seen and very healthy. Madam shoulf eat well and relax for the wait period. quote author=GuyInTheMirror post=132142464] This is to give an update. GuyInTheMirror:Do a beta HCG test . This is to show if your hcg is increasing or doubling. If it is, it's definitely pregnancy.. we expect it to double like once in two to three days 5 Likes |

Funkey20:your doctor might have aspirated early, that means he didn't wait for the complete duration after the trigger shot to do egg collection, that's one of the causes of empty follicles. Encourage him to wait a bit longer in your next cycle. We all don't respond to treatment same way, even the same woman may respond to treatment differently in 2 cycles. 1 Like |

Good day everyone pls help me.. I have asked God to take my life because it's completely useless and I can't take the pain anymore.. did IVF it's failed and that was my last hope almost all the money we got from selling our house we used in the process still no result..now we're living in a small rented apartment all the money gone nothing to show for it I don't know where to start from. The hospital is suggesting surrogacy It's was even donor egg they used..I have been crying since I got the bad news I have gone through a lot in this ttc journey Before the IVF they did 3 hysteroscopy for adhesion and I am still having severe back pain from the procedure..they said everything is ok that they can now go ahead with the IVF Now they gave me option to get back to them in 2 week Surrogacy or another hysteroscopy and try another IVF without guarantee that it will work All we have now is 2m.. what can we do with it am in Lagos 43 years please help I have lost hope Sorry for the long post |

Chandraluv:so sorry mama. Just take a break, don't do IVF under pressure, selling your own house for IVF wasn't a good idea, you could have leased or rented it out. Did the IVF failed as a result of the adhesion? The money you have currently can't get you a surrogate, if you intend using yourself please take serrapeptase for like one month before the transfer. Take it to God in prayers too, age will not stop what God is about to do for you. 2 Likes |

Thank you mama I really appreciate They did not give me any reason why it failed..all they keep saying is sorry..my husband doesn't want surrogacy that they won't use my egg I had to beg him for donor egg IVF..he didn't want that either We have tried to raise money for years but couldn't..we tried leasing because of the location no one was interested Will the adhesion hinder the IVF process? After the third hysteroscopy the hospital said everything is set for Ivf..after the transfer I did not feel anything or symptoms for the whole two weeks of waiting How I do take the serrapeptase and which one should I buy? And where to buy The money we have now is for IVF we don't want surrogate MummyNeto: |
Re: Anyone Trying IVF/IUI/ICSI (Fertility Treatments)? by MummyNeto(f): 8:44pm On Oct 03 |
Chandraluv:it is possible to achieve IVF conception with intra uterine adhesion but it depends on the severity of the adhesion, I asked because of the number of time it was carried out. You can get serrapeptase from jiji or jumia. There is a seller on nairaland too (tripplettwins). Buy a higher spu depending on your pocket, start with one capsule a day so as to develop tolerance then you can increase it to up to 3 or 4. Sorry once more about your house. If you can get castor oil, rub it in your pelvic region and massage well. If you have a hot water bottle place it over a towel and allow the heat enter your pelvic region. If not just rub the oil and massage. It's difficult to see a doctor that will allow you use your egg due to age factor. I still recommend using a donor. They don't even use donors above 26 years now. Best wishes mama ❤️ 1 Like |

Chandraluv: So sorry for the failed procedure. Do a change of hospital when you want to try again, look towards Abuja ; they have the best success stories so far. Also , calm down and prepare your body for the next one . My bundle of joy is beside me after 5 cycles @age 45. It's not too late . 4 Likes |

I want to ask those that used Primecare Hospital from Lagos if they travelled with their husband throughout the process. And how many days did they stay in Abuja before coming back. Thanks |
