And what’s the point of those useless bills? Orosanya report haven’t taken effect, state policing dead, state creation dead, and yet they are still creating more useless bills 1 Like |

I learnt it isnt gonna be easy to follow through, but if it can really be approved, i go to happy At least, it would reduce this hate and make the forced cohabitation less toxic for us all 9 Likes 1 Share |

Way to go... I am in support of this... Alhough this won't solve the issue of corruption which is clearly the bane of this country because even if the country was split into 774 individual federating units according to the number of local governments we currently have, there'd still be everything wrong with the current system trickling down to the respective federating units. The foundation has been massively corrupted and destroyed. One step/policy at a time though, perhaps, we could salvage something from the current "confusion" of a system. 1 Like |

vanbonattel: It's not the 1960's anymore, and we are not going back to the old 4 regions. You guys need to focus on getting your states to be productive, instead of fighting over how to share oil money with the hausas. Same goes for the hausas. The thing that makes me tired about most Nigerians is...ye all want to share money. Really that is what this region thing is all about. Those supporting it and those opposing it have their eyes on oil money. And anyway, it isn't the 1960's anymore. Agric is a mess, mining probably needs a full scale army intervention to be made safe for foreign investors......and most of you are not interested in making your state produce cars, phones, televisions, computers, etc...for export. 17 Likes |

nairalanda1: Making my states productive when the FG tweaks a simple monetary policy and my whole state investment turns to dust ? When the army can use checkpoints and strangulate my regions progress because of the civil war policies? When the national army and police are totally invisible when crimes occur? We should rather hold the federal government accountable, they are the spoilers from top to bottom. 5 Likes |

With the type of politics we play here, regionalism is better. Even if it has to be the 6 geopolitical zones will make the regions. It will awaken our leaders especially states because there won't be free lunch to collect in Abuja every month. Every region should control what they have, make laws to suit their situation and bring in small to the federal. Nigeria needs security and harnessing our resources. Only regionalism will guarantee that. Only lazy and overly dependent regions will kick against it because every region can comfortably survive. Unfortunately our politicians for selfish and tribal reasons won't allow that even though it's the best thing to happen to nigeria. All developed multicultural countries practice regionalism in one way or the other. Go to nnpc and other federal establishments and you will see the injustice and the reason why it won't fly. Nigeria is blessed 2 Likes |

One major characteristic of the Regional Government was the the "Nigeria we hail Thee" anthem. Since we have revert to the old anthem, the we must also have the regional government. But it must come with fiscal autonomy. By then, each region will be on its own Beremx: 2 Likes |
