If you drop your question here, you would do yourself a world of good because others who have used it constantly would guide you through.

Good day people. Please, I want to inquire about the likely costs of bus ticket from Johannesburg to Durban, either in Rand or Naira. And which transport company would you recommend. Thanks.

Thank you for the feedback.
I was just surprised seeing one who got the sticker visa in less than 2wks and it made me want to explore that option instead of the evisa.

Also, mine's for a conference. I just needed the documents, and how he went about the whole thing. Hence, my request.

Hi guys,
Please I'd like to find out a few things from you guys here. I want to apply for S.A study visa and i intend going there for a undergraduate degree program.

So, for medical insurance, can I use any insurance company in S.A or is there a particular S.A company that the embassy requires applicants to use?

Secondly, for proof of sufficient funds, how much do I need to have in my bank account, at least, for study visa? How do I go about the proof of funds process... Can I still apply with a stamped print out of my bank statement?

Do I need to actually purchase a flight ticket ahead?

I intend to rent an apartment though, do I still need to book a hotel?

I will appreciate your detailed responses on these questions and if there are other things I need to know or information that will help me in my visa application process. Kindly share as well.

Getting a medical insurance here in Nigeria was way too high so I used one in South Africa. Which was less than $500 per year. If you are yet to get one. I can send you more details about it.

Since it's a study visa I don't think booking a hotel will be okay. If you have someone there who can write a letter to that effect to accommodate that I think is cool. That was what I used though

Can someone please answer this question genuinely. As in, apart from changing rand/dollar to naira from hand to hand, is there seamless way of sending naira to Nigeria in rands? I don't know if someone understands what I'm trying to say!

Please I need help in filling the Nature of work section. I have put in the nature of my job severally but section is still showing red. I don’t know what else to do. I have been on it for 4days now

Smiles. What I meant was that assuming I want to send naira to someone in nigeria and I have rand in my account in SA, is there a way to send the money directly from my account without passing through the usual way of looking for who needs rand in exchange for naira? Hope it's clear now?
Re: General South Africa Visa Enquiries by hunee: 11:41pm On Sep 25
OPEN A MUKURU ACCOUNT. I USE IT TO CONVERT RANDS TO NAIRA, AND PAY DIRECTLY TO MY NIGERIAN ACCOUNT

MUKURU IS BIG IN SOUTHERN AFRICA, CHECK FOR THEIR OFFICE AROUND.
IT IS POSSIBLE, BUT IT TAKES 3DAYS TO REFLECT IF YOU ARE PAYING FROM ANOTHER BANK TO MUKURU, BECAUSE THEY USE ONLY ACCESS BANK , THEN WHEN IT DROPS, YOU DO THE COVERSION ON THE APP AND PAY TO YOUR NAIRA ACCOUNT IMMEDIATELY.

All the best

If you stay within the airport through your transit, you don’t need a transit visa.
Yes, you can move within those days.

You are not just filling nature.
Name of company, Address of employer, date started, check the 2 boxes required also and the country code. Else it won’t change from red.
