Obaseki is the first governor to pay the 70k minimum wage without noise
he paid minimum wage so as to create problem for d incoming governor cos he himself knows Edo budget is not sustainable for 70k minimum wage

He knows d next governor will reduce it n make him unpopular

It's just politics n not love for d people

If he loved d people why didn't he fix all infrastructural decay before d issue of minimum wage was brought forward

staying neutral is staying foolish.Political decisions affects everyone so everyone must be involved.

Even though I'm anti APC, the fact remains clear whether INEC rigged Edo election or not Obaseki was a disaster in Edo to see people who are not card carrying members of APC jubilating APC victory. So I guess it maybe better to send PDP packing in Edo

Are you intelligent at all? So, the over 200k votes APC got (according to INEC) where from ghosts? Is politics not about interests? Did you know the background story of how the institution's management resisted Obaseki's reforms that made activities temporarily halted? Won't you think they will be happy?
Does the support of few people validate the travesty every unbiased Edo indigenes (including APC members) know happened on Saturday.

You people are so beholden to evil that it compromises your sense of sound judgement. It is your right to hate Obaseki but politics should never be used as a vendetta against the people. Why is it that only people from a particular part of the country embrace the dark art of criminality? Is it because you love APC so much or the stench of being conquered ?

PS: PDP even won the PU at Oba's Palace, despite the open declaration of support by key subjects of the Oba. It shows we the Edos do not play politics of servitude. If AI can't prove he won the election, then kudos to APC. But stop sounding like a clown.

APC stalwarts in Edo are not even saying APC won the election, they are rather happy about the misfortune of Obaseki (retribution using federal might). But ignorant folks like you will be online making noise.

God bless you

The reason APC as a party took the Edo Elections as a survival project is because Obaseki being able to pay N70k was the sole reason APC govt of Tifnubu even considered that N70k as Federal Minimum Wage - if not their plan was to pay N40k as minimum wage and nothing more- so Obaseki paying N70k, made them look bad

And Asuen promised N100k minimum wage before the completion of his first year in office

think about what you just read, this made Akpabio and the host of APC descend on Edo to ensure the Asuen treath to their loot is extinguished

Obaseki perform below average as Governor, fought so many people wrongly include those who supported him at different stage of his struggles. He climbed the stairs and removed the ladder.

He fought wrongly on so many fronts and bites many fingers.

Eventually, he lost all.

I pitied that PDP Governorship Candidate who followed the wrong person in the pursuit of his ambition.
You've spoken very well and reasonably too!

The Celebration is morally justified.
The new governor elect is from Ekpoma.
The last time a Governor came from Ekpoma was the Late Professor Ambrose Ali.
That was in 1979.
So no bad blood should be attached to this Celebration.
Congratulations 🎉 to the Good people of Ekpoma and Edo State

I wonder how you guys made the election to be about who obaseki fought or didn't fight, when it was about the choice of Edo people and the irregularities of the electoral process but you guys desperately try to distract people from the main issues, same thing you did at the presidential election when we talk of Inec sabotaging the process they will say pdp was divided, when you talk about how bvas number votes assigned to a party is more than the number of accredited voters, rather than speak on than they'll tell you how obi divided pdp's vote like godamn it, those aren't the primary issues who steal who's vote, who fought who is not your concern, our concern is stick to the electoral process, right now in the Edo election there are polling units elections didn't take place but votes were given to the apc how did it happen? Collation was supposed to be done at the local govt level why wasn't it done there, on the news yesterday a local uniben shuttle driver came on air to claim that his shuttle bus was taken by the police, according to him he was supposed to carry the election material t the local govt collation office but after voting the Inec officials diverted him to somewhere else when he resisted the police attached took the bus and drove away with the Inec officials and election materials after voting, they didn't go to the local collation centre the guy came on air on Monday to appeal to the police to return his bus.
