FoolishBoy419: So will shouldn't believe the data being released by the Russian defence ministry. On this thread we have seen people post about the Russia military base on sats released by the defence ministry of Russia. According to the Russian defence ministry the deaths in Ukraine are under 10k but the BBC puts it at over 50,000 late this year and 70,000 some few days ago Mr man which of the sats do you believe?? The defence ministry in isreal is saying we have lost over 1k men, their pictures and ranks are being posted on thier social media platforms and there's a website saying over 10k has been killed or wounded the website never stated the figure that were killed nor stated the figures that were injured, just 10k killed or injured and you call that a credible source.

Mille: Israeli soldiers are not soldiers. They are civilians masquerading as soldiers. They lack the behavior, looks, and discipline required of a soldier. Many of them are overweight. They are fat and in a normal nation, will never be allowed near a military barrack. But in Israel, they take them all in and turn them into emergency soldiers. In the end, all they are good for is PR and social media. Taking photos fully-kitted and looking tough while their ladies show up in bikinis and rifles. Israel's over-reliance on air support isn’t helping either, especially in the street to street and house to house fighting they engage in against Hamas. Like the US, Israel can hit the enemy from the air. (Any military with a powerful air force can do that.) But once the foot combat begins, they will start mounting casualties. Their situation is no different from the 2009 offensive where US and the UK went into foot combat against the Taliban. That year, the US received its highest casualties in the war and had to remove all its forces from rural and mountainous areas just so Taliban would stop killing them. In the case of Israel, add Hamas massive tunnel network to Israel's many problems and the situation even becomes worse for it. I am not surprised that Israel has much higher casualties than Hamas. That is why they’re engaging in massive and careless aerial bombardment in Gaza. The US did the same thing too in Vietnam. Once their casualties started mounting, they started their bombing madness against Vietnam and even extended it into Cambodia and Laos. The more battlefield defeat they suffered, the more bombs they dropped on civilians in those countries. In the end, the US lost the war and fled Vietnam in disgrace. It will be no different with Israel. 8 Likes |

shoodboi2: Do you know the type of warfare being fought in gaza is not your normal conventional warfare, that it is asymmetric in nature, an insurgency type of warfare The mighty Soviet Union went into Afghanistan and lost against ragtag Mujahideen fighters. asymmetric warfare is the hardest war any nation can fight and the isrealis are not an exemption. A simple Google search you would see the rich history of the idf military poweress. |

⚡The IRGC is brokering talks between Russia and the Houthis to supply the latter with P-800 Yakhont supersonic anti-ship cruise missiles. Yakhont is the export variant of Onyx, and is already in service with Hezbollah. It is unclear if the deal would just be for missiles, or complete K-300P Bastion-P coastal missile batteries with Predel-E over the horizon radars. Even the missiles alone would be a significant enhancement of the Houthis' anti-ship capabilities, and would threaten US warships. P-800 (3M55) [NATO: SS-N-26 Strobile] is a capable missile, with a secondary land strike capability, that has been used extensively by Russia to target the Ukrainian port city of Odesa. 5 Likes 1 Share

usmanpogo: Israel did worse in 2006. It bombarded the hell out of Lebanon. Israel had the upper hand at the beginning of the war because of the air bombardments but Hezbollah leveled the playing field and later got the upper hand once Israel entered Lebanon. The premise of “ground invasion by the Israelis would not start except the whole place has been bombarded with airstrikes” wouldn’t work with Hezbollah for two reasons. The first is that Hezbollah possesses long range weapons, specifically rockets and missiles, that can strike Israel. So, it will continue to respond to Israel’s airstrikes with those. And Hezbollah won;t fire blindly. Instead, it will target the very soldiers that Israel has staged across the border and intends to use for the invasion. So, the soldiers will either have to attack sooner or later, or continue suffering casualties from the missiles Hezbollah will fire at them after every Israeli airstrike. Hezbollah isn’t like Hamas that is generally lacking in the missile department and only has a few thousand rockets. Most of Hamas’ rockets are cheap stuff made of fertilizer and sugar inside iron pipes. Hezbollah’s missiles are the type of stuff you will find in the arsenal of armies. Mind you, Hezbollah rivals the armies of several countries and is stronger than the Lebanese army. The second is the fact that mopping with ground forces only works if the enemy is totally or partly destroyed, or at least, the ability of the enemy to fight is seriously suppressed. This can work with conventional militaries, as the US did to Iraq. But it will not work with unconventional forces like Hezbollah or even Hamas. These guys don’t have static bases from where they operate and they don’t use armor, aircraft, ships, and all those heavy weapons conventional forces carry around. The bulk of their forces are men with rifles, RPGs, anti-tank weapons, landmines, IEDs and other light weapons. Basically, things you cannot see or destroy from the air. You must meet them on the battlefield to destroy them. Plus most of their positions are underground. So what will Israel bomb? Israel can only bomb civilians and nothing else. If Israel wants to win, it must go underground. But Israel didn't even go underground in Gaza, so it clearly wouldn't go underground in Lebanon. Underground warfare is something that has never been explored. Subterranean warfare as they call it, is something no army has ever fought and no army will probably never win. 8 Likes |

WritterNg: I think Russia is arming the houthis in anticipation of US giving Ukraine greenlight to strike deep into Russia because as far as am concerned, they will do it. It is just a function of time. So attacking deep into Russia will lead to Russia giving the houthis greenlight to strike US warships and bases in ME. After all, they only supplied houthis the missiles and don't know how they used it.... It is the common statement of Nato/US too 12 Likes 3 Shares |

obedience4: Sounds like a self-proclaimed victory If an army fails to achieve it objectives after a military operations with or without casualties, it is deemed a failure. What was the objective of the previous Lebanese war ? Was the objective achieved ? And if so, at what cost ? If not then the victory is self-proclaimed Even Ukraine is claiming victory in the current SMO against the Russians. How would you explain Zelensky sharing a victory plan with their allies even when they are being bombarded into oblivion. 5 Likes |

emmaodet: Probably from experience from the 2006 war. Israel will likely mine certain areas to deny Hezbollah from using them. Israel may also mine its own troop positions and bases inside Lebanon (when it invades) to prevent Hezbollah from launching a ground assault at the troops there. We have seen something similar in Gaza. 4 Likes |

Ska333ko: It's not an anti-personnel mine. It is those anti-mining systems used to create paths through minefields. Israel may mine its own positions to deny Hezbollah entry, or even worse, Israel may mine Hezbollah's positions to deny Hezbollah from repositioning its forces or retreating from an area. I'm not sure about this too, but I suspect that they may be used to clear undetonated cluster ammunition. 2 Likes 1 Share |
