SonofElElyonRet: This is sad to read. That boy almost made me ran away from here the same day I was let in to the forum. People should learn to ignore him and his multiple monikers. Glad you recovered. 3 Likes |

chimex38: It is 6 months prior to the AGM where the scheme is approved by shareholders. This was discussed extensively during Oando's case and that is what the SEC rule says.. |

mikeapollo: Thank you. However, I think you are 99% right based on the subtle detail I research further. It indicated, 6months prior to NOTICE of EGM not the actual EGM date. emphasis on NOTICE/ANNOUNCEMENT. you can re-check the images I posted yesterday above wrt MRS and Arbico exit this year. (I still stand to be corrected though) |

SonofElElyonRet: I would not want to blame anyone here, but my advice is this: before you take someone's opinion about your investments/stocks seriously, try and understand the kind of person, the mentality, level of enlightenment/education, knowledge base, exposure, attitude, manners, psyche, disposition, maturity, intelligence etc. of the person. There are some folks here that I take their words and opinions seriously because I have been able to assess (from their posts) the kind of persons they are. You don't just listen to every Tom, Dick and Harry! We should listen to reason and facts, not noises borne out of ignorance and shallowness of the mind! For example, I am now looking for some money to buy Unity Bank right now, because @Megawealth (one of the refined guys on this platform) has given a recommendation based on some solid strategic insight that he released. I had also suggested that Intl Breweries would skyrocket after their restructuring and turnaround, but my conviction has been boosted by @OGG who has provided further insights about the potential of the stocks. I will also consider strongly if someone like @Bovali should recommend a stocks, because she does thorough and professional analysis of stocks (even though I disagreed with her on Oando, which was an exception) This place is like a market; some people here are just for noise making and nuisance value. Today, when someone talks about Oando (or any other stocks) that you have with potential for more growth, some people would start saying you are desperate to push it to N100 or you are doing monkey hunting. Which investor does not want his/her stocks and investments to grow in value? That should tell you the petty and shallow mindset of such people who accuse people of being desperate to see Oando clocking N100, even though they had the same stocks and sold it, made profits, but then they expected and still want the price to crash after they sold. 9 Likes 2 Shares |

mikeapollo: One of the people you quoted gave recommendation on jaiz bank when it was 2.50 in February. Na there my money hang till today. Don't follow people's analysis because they sound sweet and polished, without doing your own independent due diligence, otherwise you are O. Y. O 6 Likes |

A post of August 22nd, just before Oando started 8 days of daily 10%. Reading STREET's post is a minus!!! Testimonies777: |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo: 10:03am On Sep 27 |
Akpaamunsi: Of course, I would do my due diligence and further analysis. But what I mean is that you weigh and give some consideration to their opinion, not necessarily taking it 100%. Anybody can go wrong and miss the target on NGX, but at least you consider the counsel of wise people, not otherwise. I ignored all the negative comments about Oando because I learnt a bitter lesson when I discovered the value in FBNH, BCC (Dangote) Cement selling at about N4 but I missed buying them and they both later got to N70. That is when I realized the strategic importance of taking position in companies when they are undergoing some restructuring or turnaround. International Breweries is undergoing a similar experience. The problem is we do not know the exact timing of the events and when things would eventually turn around. But if you have the money and can wait, Intl Breweries is another potential goldmine |

Once you are able to enter any stock at bargain, don't let anyone talk u out of it. I also jumped in and out of Oando at around 10-12 naira due to the lots of fear mongering going on at the time. I am not blaming anyone for my decision btw. I consider it a price to pay for my learning process. Learning from experience is good because you will never forget 5 Likes |

Buying of shares (possibly other instruments) in the secondary market is a zero-sum-game. Someone sold cheap for you to buy cheap. You sold high to someone who bought high. Own your investing decisions. 9 Likes 1 Share |

SEPLAT Those complaining about being trapped, we didn't hear 'pim' from them again... Now SEPLAT has offers and bids, don't come and complain later.....😁 FMN Since Excelsior is not mopping up (at least not yet), they have been trying to depress the market and make sure it doesn't go beyond N70 by all means.... Minority shareholders now have only one weapon to fight against this injustice....."Their Votes" at the Court Ordered Meeting...... Hopefully, they won't buy them over at the meeting as well. 😊 I'm hoping to see Oba Otudeko appear somewhere along this lane for HW sha........I hope the minority shareholders of HW are well compensated 1 Like 1 Share |

Buy HONEYWELL at less than #5. Thanks me later I didn't want to post this but let me just do because I want others to chop too. It's a win win situation whether Oba takes it back or FMN continues with it. They are the cheapest of all FMN acquisitions. DYOR 4 Likes 2 Shares |
