Atiku is very selfish.
PDP could have taken power back from APC but this man wants to be president by force just like Tinubu, Buhari and Atiku.

This kind of desperation is questionable.

Atiku on that ballot was why Tinubu couldn’t win. Atiku on the ballot in 2027 is a threats to Tinubu vote in the north. Tell me which politician can stop BAT?

This news is error filled and I doubt its authenticity. Senator Ayu is not from NE, he is from NC, Benue State to be precise and he is a native of Gboko. This news is a pure make up and full of inconsistencies.
I am sure days to come we will hear the true reflection of what happened and not this make up news.

ATIKU should go and rest, i believe he has not managed the issues of the state well that is why they are shifting away from him. If not for his in impatience he would have being the president after GEJ, they destroyed the PDP when he could wait for GEJ to finish his last 4yrs now I am not so sure he can ever be President, because he has mess everything up the PDP, if there's go leadership Wike would not be running things in the party, when he was VP Wike was just an LGA Chairman, now Wike has more voice in the party than Atiku

Wike is the PDP's breadwinner, and people are usually cautious when dealing with breadwinners to avoid losing their own share. As it stands, it seems Wike is still holding a large portion of the "bread," which is why the party's leadership doesn't dare to challenge him.

Mr. Man, is it not his right constitutionally to vie for any post in Nigeria? You guys should stop seeing or talking as if he has commented fractions against any known law. The country's constitution has given everyone a blanket opportunity to vie for any position in as much you have the criteria for such post constitutionally.
Please who is not desperate to become the best in life if you have the resources to pursue such goal and those that doesn't have are pressing to be one at all costs.
Atiku reserve the right to vie for presidency as many times as he wants, so far his political party find him worthy to sponsor him according to the law. This world is the race for the survival of the fittest. Every political players should fight for their own space and stop maligning another man fighting for his own survival.

I actually don't believe this stops Atiku from getting the party's presidential ticket.

The governor and the PDP will eventually give him the ticket 🎫 when primary comes cos that's how the PDP is

You would to then expect a southerner to go queue on election day and vote another northerner after Buhari already did 8 yes.... It's same dilemma for obi,the north wouldn't want to vote another southerner to replace tinubu because because oce he gets to power 2nd term is always almost impossible to ignore.

The only go between is GEJ who constitutionally can only spend 1 term but he is rather too timid and not too kin on the prospect.....if tinubu wins 2027 don't be surprised because the odds are highly staked in his favour.

Politics isn't about sentiments or noise making.

PDP goes where money is!

And the All ProgreThieves Conmen, APC
Is that why they wrecked the economy into more extreme poverty, inflation, unemployment, insecurity etc since 2015 shege that was scamdemically packaged as change?

scribble:
The blogosphere was inundated with reports of the excessive sharing of dollars at the All Progressives Congress which took place during the latter part of last week.

One APC supporter and Special Adviser to Osun Governor on Environment, BolaIlori had blown the scandal open after he saw the beginning stages of the dollarization in action.

He took to his Facebook page and scribbled, “Crazy things are happening here!!! Some of these cannot represent the change Nigeria is yearning for. Excessive dollarization by one of the aspirants to is to say the least obscene. I have been involved in political process for decades now, I have never witnessed this volume of raw dollarization of party primaries. I only read about this kind of things in PDP primaries. A question been asked by conscientious delegates is that whoever can be giving out between $2000 to $5000 to…delegates certainly does not represent the kind of change Nigerians want…those who contributed to the pauperization of Nigeria now revel in dollarization… majority of Ondo delegates are still standing with Buhari but have been reduced from 85% to 70% within 24 hours…the remaining has gone with dollars ooo.!!!!!”

One has to wonder how Buhari was able to win the primaries in this era of stomach infrastructure where dollars are like the Biblical manna that God sent down from heaven to nourish the Israelites as they made their way to the promised land.

Sources close to the APC with knowledge of the way the Primaries unfolded have revealed that it was Rivers State Governor, Amaechi who flew back to Rivers State and returned to Lagos on Thursday morning with enough dollars to make Benjamin Franklin blush.

It has been revealed that Atiku offered the delegates $5000 each, but Amaechi doubled it to $10000 a pop. Thus turning the tables in favour of General Buhari.

Since his adventure into the APC, Amaechi has gone out of his way to prove himself a party loyalist, always the first to shoki or azonto at the many events the APC holds, which he himself is usually the chief sponsor.

According to party insiders, Amaechi has overtaken Tinubu as the major financier of the party. One does not need to wonder why he is always at President Jonathan’s throat over misappropriated oil wells or other such business. Anything that diminishes from the State’s coffers will have a ripple effect on his funding budget for the APC.

Joe Francis wrote in from Port Harcourt.

He's the bread winner to Damagun, Anyanwu and Bature and that is why they are still observing table manners with him. When a new sheriff mount the leadership position and he doesn't have any connection with him, he would be silence and place where he belongs. For now he has pocketed the three of them and that is why the PDP NWC is divided into two. If they are ready to pull the rug under his feet, he will be nicked and alterly destroy politically.

They said so in 2022 too but how did it end?

It ended in tears for Whiskey-drinking Wike and Pandora Bitter Obi.

2023: PDP and politics of healing Wike’s self-inflicted injury

Then, the race began in earnest for three years now, reaching a frenzy with the works of the two PDP committees on zoning. The first was the Gov Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi committee on the zoning of the PDP party offices. The Ugwuanyi committee quickly told the world the committee’s assignment did not cover zoning the office of the president. Though this was true, the question is: why didn’t the Ugwuanyi committee zone the PDP chairmanship to the North without aligning it to the divide that would produce the PDP presidential flag-bearer? The second committee headed by Gov Samuel Ortom of Benue state was specifically on the zoning of the presidential ticket and, with the votes of the representatives of all the 17 Southern states without any exception, the Committee unanimously recommended throwing open the PDP presidential ticket, which the PDP NEC simply upheld.

One thing irrefutably stands out – Wike shot himself in the leg. Here was a man who had an overarching influence on both committees but could not insist that the ticket be zoned South. Many had wondered why? The reason is also relatively in plain sight: the Southeast factor. As the clamour for zoning of the presidential ticket of the PDP to South reached its crescendo, many had pointed out the fact that though the PDP Constitution had prescribed zoning of the office of the president to be between North and South since the South-west and South-south had taken their turns in producing the president and the vice in this current dispensation in the persons of Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan, zoning this time around, should not just be to the South but the Southeast.

Atiku Abubakar went a step further by offering to step down from the race if it would be agreed that the touted zoning to the South would mean micro-zoning to the Southeast. Wike and the rest could not take the Atiku challenge maybe because Atiku would likely back Peter Obi, who was his vice-presidential running mate in 2019 and an ally. The prospects of Peter Obi picking the ticket if PDP zoned South was so real compelling Wike to go for an open contest, believing he could pick it up ahead of Atiku, Tambuwal and Bala Mohammed, given his large war chest.

Please point to a single politician in Nigeria that is not desperate? Is it Atiku that is not desperate or Tinubu not desperate? You know how many trillions someone like Tinubu has wasted just because he was desperate to become president one day by spending on politicians everywhere or is it him that have not jumped to another party before? At least we know him to be in AD as at 1999. What took him away from there? Out of his desperation he lost his voice to condemn the mismanagement of the country by Buhari but same him and his government now condemning what they supposed to have condemned for long.

In as much as Atiku is old, PDP cannot risk giving their ticket to any other person

Who do you think in the current PDP can match BAT? Even if Kwakwanso decamps to PDP or joins forces with PDP, he would still not get the ticket.

Alhaji has become a bone in the neck of PDP, and they cannot do without him. Wike cannot get the ticket while still in APC government, neither would some die-hard and bitter politicians in PDP agree to give it to Peter Obi. Some forces in PDP are simply not happy with Peter Obi for "cutting" their ticket in the last presidential election. I am sure Atiku has not forgive him.

Help us mentioned the business he funded with state money while in power.
I am waiting
Or are u saying he should not have saved some of his salaries and allowance to invest into a business after he leaves office ?
U guys just talk without sense aswear.
So he worked for a state for 8yrs, so he shouldn't have saved some of his salary or plan for life outside govt?
And most u will claim to be educated o but lack logic.
Yes he has empathy for the following reasons
1. Refusing to share state money with politicians and house of assembly members because he believed state money should be used for state development. that got him
impeached severally.
2. He reduced the cost of governance drastically to ensure there is money left for the state development
3. While his mates like Tinubu, akpabio where sending bills to their state assemblies to sign pension and allowance for life for them and their deputies, he refused to mortgage Anambra future for himself and cronies.
Let me shock. Ambode or Sanwo had to reduce the pension allowances to past lagos state governors and deputies by 50% because it was taking a heavy toll on the state resources. na Tinubu create the monster for his selfish self

4. It take someone with empathy instead of borrowing to loot like his mates thereby leaving heavy burden for the next govt, he invested the money on behalf of the state.
It was some of the money u guys claim he invested in a bank he once had interest in, used to build anambra cargo airport today.

I will leave it here
