This is because sometimes there are units with over voting and the result cancelled yet it will be already captured on the irev portal

INEC is very complicit in election rigging. INEC should be COLLATING WARD-LEVEL results and UPLOAD ON IREEEEVVVV !!! 80 % of rigging has its root here and INEC knows this, so UPLOAD of WARD results should be mandatory and legal in ALL future elections in Nigeria! Just like polling unit results are uploaded, the results from all the polling units that make up a ward should be collated at the WARD level, and the collation officer should upload WARD-COLLATED result sheet on IREV BEFORE BEFORE BEFORE BEFORE going to the LGA. Each state has probably just 250-350 wards.. Now imagine just being able to download and sum the results from this number of result sheets before INEC start doing their abracadabra at LGA and state office., then there is no way a party can rig the votes, because you and I are able to input the figures in excel sheet and even the media can call the results way ahead of time. Nigerians should PUT PRESSURE TO MAKE WARD-LEVEL COLLATED UPLOAD ON IREV MANDATORY AND LEGAL, because that should be the purpose of having IREV in the first place.

I thought I was going to see a comprehensive investigative journalism, where at least 30% of the results sheets are analysed in comparison with inec declared results.

There are over 4000 polling units, I see less than 10 result sheets flying around social media as evidence of massive rigging. This is how the Obidient cult group where made to believe they won, only to go and lose in court for lack of proper evidence.

You need to prove discrepancies in at least 2000 polling units to upturn the Victory in Edo.

In 2023, the Supreme Court of Nigeria in the appeal of Atiku Abubakar said IREV is not a collation system and cannot be used.

I totally agree with you... Pdp needs to compare the results pasted on irev with their own agent copies and with the final results announced before going to court...but even if there are discrepancies,as far as APC wins, there's no need..

Again, this tally aligns with my pre election tally where pdp won oredo and ikpoba between 10-15k meaning APC won overall

PS, constitutionally speaking the result on the IREV is not the official result, the result at the collation Centre is what is recognized by the constitution.

The results captured by the irev from polling units real time is the constitutionally approved result.

Section 60(5) of the electoral act: This section mandates that after counting the votes at polling units, the presiding officer shall announce the result and transmit it electronically where applicable.

Text:

"The presiding officer shall, after counting the votes at the polling unit, enter the votes scored by each candidate in a form to be prescribed by the Commission. The form shall be signed and stamped by the presiding officer and counter-signed by the candidates or their polling agents where available at the polling unit. The presiding officer shall, after recording and announcing the result, transmit the result in the manner prescribed by the Commission."

According to the electoral act, the prescribed manner is through capturing and uploading to the IREV electronically.
