From the guidance you posted, it appears that the 14 day period is a discretionary grace period that may or may not be granted depending on the person's circumstances if they eventually file an application within that period after their visa has expired.

Thanks Cyberknight.

SInce they are already in the UK the best thing is to book a date with an Immigration Expert lawyer and they can give him/her the best Advice and all options available. It might cost a token say 100 quid but its worth it.They should not play with it as everyone seems to be an expert these days even those wey never enter airport B4.

Thanks Erico. Was gonna say. An immigration lawyer would know any loopholes.

I need your advice, guys.

Can my uncle use my address for his UK visit visa even though he will not be staying with me when he comes? He will be staying in a hotel during his stay. But he doesn't want to book yet and is hoping he can use my address just for the application. He is sponsoring himself and shouldn't have a problem proving his financial capabilities. We only need to find out if using my address can work. By the way, I stay in a two-bedroom flat with a friend, and I am on a Graduate Visa with almost 2 years of validity.
Thanks

Yes he can

Lexusgs430:

Cat N(non structural) is the best type of write-off to buy......

Have you seen pictures of the vehicle, after it was categorised......

You would get a considerable discount buying the vehicle....... So only buy with a long term view of ownership, or else when you intend to sell, it would also be priced as if you stole it ........😜

NB: Also point to consider, an insurance company would not write a vehicle off twice (take note)......😚

CAT N, I bought for my daughter last month....... Her brother would be inheriting this from her .......😂😜..... Saved over £3000 vs clean title...... 😊

Please hand back your payrise o. Don't spend it. Also you are enjoying peace and quiet now after the racist riots due to decisive action ,aren't you? What's the big deal with 1 MP resigning the whip. Majority is still stonking and things are getting done.

I ve been following Angela Rayner's reforms closely. Anyone else following that?

I actually came on here to post badenochs latest slurry of verbal loose motions when I saw this. I hope she gets the leadership. Will be great to watch the final implosion of the tories

Addendum: I don't really like what about ism but i can be persuaded to dig deep into Bonzos file and table all the backhanders he took and didn't declare while PM.
I hate these freebies that they take. They are all at it. All of them. I absolutely hate it and would want it to be banned

The same way Buhari presented himself as a saint in 2014/2015 is the same way Sir Keir Starmer presented himself as a saint in 2024.

Now we know the ‘mr integrity’ Keir Starmer is in bed with a certain Lord Ali. Collecting freebies left right and centre. Blatant cronyism - exactly what the same sir Keir accused the outgone govt of doing.

Hypocrisy stinks!

I have agreed with Kemi on a lot of things.
Although I see a lot of sense in what Kemi said (on this occasion), I must admit that in a pseudo-socialist society the UK is, the ‘optics’ don’t look good (yet) for this kind of comment.
Whereas Kemi’s stance is ideologically understandable, in a UK where political correctness is rife, it makes sense to bash her.

As a woman, I would love to have a 3 year maternity pay. ‘Problem’ is, someone somewhere is paying for it. In taxes. I do not totally align with Kemi on this.

She said: "Maternity pay varies, depending on who you work for - but statutory maternity pay is a function of tax, tax comes from people who are working.

"We’re taking from one group of people and giving to another. This, in my view, is excessive.

"Businesses are closing, businesses are not starting in the UK, because they say that the burden of regulation is too high."

Children are the future of any nation. Without them ,we would soon die out. Yet the people responsible for ensuring the longevity of this nation are penalised heavily for it.
Women lose 2 yrs on average from their career, pension earnings, experience for every pregnancy. They then go on to lose even more each time they have to stay out of work for childcare.

It's no wonder fewer and fewer women are choosing to do this particular type of national service( pregnancy is national service in my opinion)

Instead of providing incentives , this woman is saying another thing. Me I shock o,I no go lie.

(I think mat pay should be full pay not this half pay then there should be free nurseries for women to go back to work. Without tackling the highcost of childcare, fertility rate will stay low.
Who wants to be working just to pay the babysitter? )

sorry for all that you had to go through, perhaps we can all begin to appreciate the huge challenges of living in the UK as a Nigerian. So when you see us shout about the UK visa costs, ihs fees, and taxes all you can see on display is a conglomerate of all our burdens as a people. No matter the outrage and in this current inflationary world, who will blink? none from either back home or where we are so you just have to carry your cross and keep hoping. Good to know you got it sorted. I even had a colleague who just told me today she had a biometric appointment for December, I had to tell her to re-check as some weeks back all appointments had been cancelled with everyone expected to reschedule, she never knew until today that her appointment like we say in Nigeria has entered voicemail and there was no email or announcement whatever to notify anyone. Welcome to our world sis.

Thank you 😊I've finally recovered from the stress lol.

Re the bolded, you never know, if it received enough media attention, it might pressure them to revisit their prices or at least aim to provide commensurate value/services.

On the topic of Kemi, was reading an article on her and Jenrick's BBC interview Say what you like about her but she's got some guts ...she might soon be called "that bl**dy woman" as Thatcher was affectionately labelled lol

Badenoch accused him of misrepresenting her position, saying numbers did matter but "culture matters even more. Who comes into the country is absolutely critical."

Asked which cultures were "less valid", she said it was "not about labelling cultures".

"I think that cultures where women are told that they should not work, I would knock on doors... and you would see somebody at the door who says 'I can't speak to you, I will get my husband'. I don't think that is as equally valid as our culture."

Badenoch, who was born in London but spent much of her childhood in Nigeria before returning to the UK, added she did not want "this place to turn into the place I was running away from".

Wow, I’m shocked! How can a UK politician running for party leadership say this in 2024! UK generous maternity level is the envy of other countries. It’s wrong to criticize it on multiple levels, a bit like saying NHS care is excessive. I guess she can kiss her leadership challenge goodbye 👋
Never expected her to win anywhere, even if she made it to the final round (her and Jenrick). It would have been a repeat of Sunak & Trus in 2022, with party membership backing Jenrick over her. (In this case, Jenrick seems to be a more competent candidate, so shouldn’t take much convincing). Bye bye Kemi, maybe run for Naija President in 2027? Lol too late, burnt that bridge as well, too busy talking down Naija at every opportunity you had😁

I watched her being interviewed today. in all the interviews, she always made sure she slagged off Nigeria and her Nigerian roots. Tory membership would love her, she is saying openly what they wouldn't dare say in public.

Na her way be that. Even Barack Obama no run down Kenya during his campaigns.
Yet same person talking about culture fit for future migration. If the standards she’s proposing now were in place when her parents emigrated, would she have been born here? She lacks substance (even the style/eloquence don dey fade).
