Hello guys good evening.

Please what do you think about the University of Niagara falls Canada.

A friend just got admission into the MSc for Data Analytics program.

Major challenge is also the area and if it's a good place to find work that could help pay up the school fees.

Please your input is really needed right now.

Thanks

You may get a job as a student but the pay can't four your tuition ..
There's serious unemployment in Canada now.
So think deeply , plan. Ensure your finances can take you through or get An MPower loan there .
My one cent advice

People like that are the reasons Canada is making stringent rules on the international students. They get to Canada and then claim an asylum because they do nothave the school fees

Don’t discourage people, 70% of international student pay 50-100% of fees working here. The fees are extremely high to begin with. How many people have that sitting in their account. If you have the money fine but all one need to study abroad is the will not even money…

I had some money when I went to Canada but my 42,000 sch fees was paid with working here with so many extra savings. Internship alone was $10,000 for 2 months. My program was 2yrs. I did monthly payment plan. I didn’t spend a penny from my Nigeria account. I just want to encourage someone that your will and determination is enough. You don’t have to seek asylum, you can get that degree with your will. Just don’t be Lazy, that’s all. Ask questions and surround yourself with positive people. Just to add, my program was 20months and the fees was paid monthly for 20months

Third time applicant and it has finally been approved. I’m giving special thanks to God and @jmg12 for putting a thorough application for me. The first time I got denied was in 2019, and the second time was denied on June 6th for financial reasons even after paying almost all my tuition. I paid full tuition this time around and had 26m for living expenses .

i can see you submitted your application on july 18. when did you do your biometric? cause i still haven't gotten a reply till now.

I have been refused study permit and SOWP in the past. So, I am not a first time applicant, and I submitted my application since 8th of August and no news from IRCC. I am in my eigth weeks waiting
Btw, I did GIC of 23K CAD and paid the first year tuition fee.
Does that mean I should be super worried ?

Putin007:
Are you a "first time applicant", if no, then should be worried, but if yes, decision will run its full course those that got theirs earlier were 2nd/3rd/4th time applicants bcus IRCC have checked their files b4

HOW MUCH PROOF OF FUND IS REQUIRED FOR STUDY VISA TO CANADA.

It is no longer a news that the cost of living proof of funds requirements for study permit applicants is now $20,635. In addition to this proof of living expenses, applicants are to provide proof of their at least first year of tuition and other travel costs.

Often times, applicants are denied based on insufficient fund as some do get confused regarding how much pof they actually needed. Here below is a guide for you to know and work towards meeting up with the financial requirement.

Scenarios with estimatated one year tuition fees of 25,000 (this may vary depending on the school) & minimum travel cost per person of $2000 CAD based on the new cost of living:

Single applicant:

Tution Fees. - $25,000
Living Expenses - $20,636
Transportation. - $2,000
Minimum Funds Required = $47,636.

Family of 2:

Tution Fees. - $25,000
Living Expense. - $25,691
Transportatiońn. -$4,000
Minimum Funds Required=$54,691

Family of 4:

Tution Fees. - $25,000
Living Expense. - $38,346
Transportation. - $8,000
Minimum Funds Required=$71,346

Note that the tuition fee can vary depending on the school and course but the rest funds are the minimum required for visa approval.

CAD1 = N1,187.55 (always check for the current rate and apply accordingly)

Please don't deceive people!
There's a big difference between when you came to Canada and now.

There's a big shortage of survival jobs. People on 2yrs programs have gone the entire length without a single job.

Why do you think the number of international students claiming asylum has increased significantly?

Also, even if one happens to get a survival job on their first day of landing in Canada, it is impossible to pay an entire semester fees with it.

Gone are the days of students working full-time. Now, with just 20hrs/week or even the expected 24hrs/week, it is impossible to save $1000 monthly, not when you're paying for rent and feeding.

As I said earlier, what applied in the past doesn't work anymore.
Before, students working 20hrs could still manage to pay a substantial part of their fees using black market and Form A.
Years ago, I know persons who would send money to Nigeria via black market rate and then use form A to pay their fees from Nigeria. Imagine sending 3000$ home and paying 4500$ of your fees with it.
But now, with the floating of the naira, that's a thing of the past.

This post isn't to discourage anyone.
If you're coming to Canada, come fully prepared!
If at all you are banking on working to pay your fees, ensure your program has a summer break and you have fees for at least 2 semesters and rent for 8 months (even with this, it's still no guarantee).

Are you serious or chasing clout? You even have the audacity to quote percentage.

Do you know how much is living cost or you think Canada is Nigeria that you pay 800k naira per annum for accommodation.

My spouse has worked over 1k hours in 9 months during limited and break period yet I send not less than 800k per month to support her tuition and living expenses from Nigeria aside from additional support for school fees. This is College oh not Masters.

Why do you deceive the public to entrap them? For what purpose?
