OnoVegasBlog: This is why Igbo people can not be ordinary President... or have a common international airport because of LOCAL reasoning. "There has been a growing demand".... "there are ongoing claims".... BULL.Sh.it Instead of advocating for the obvious Anioma State, or a return to regional government, you are looking for another banana state that will do nothing for anybody except more divide and rule for the elites. SILLY lol |

LtCZAR:That will be the choice of Ukwa people to make, I won't even mind if Umuahia and Even Mbaise to be part of it. The problem is we don't want you guys from Abia north. You are developers go and develop Abia north. Ngwa people know the people the share historical affiliation with and they are Umuahia (ohuhu umuahia), Ndoki, Asa, Mbaise (especially Ezilaihite) and Etche. We don't have anything in common with you guys from Abia north. |

waternogetemeny:Since the existence of Ngwa. Culture, Language (dialect), Topography, History. The evidence is clear that we have nothing in common with Abia north but with Ndoki, Asa, Etche, Mbaise, and Ohuhu Umuahia. We will rather prefer to be in a union with this people than Abia north. Abia State is a failed marriage.. sustained because of the inability of Abia north to survive without Ngwa land. Abia North claim to have invested a lot in Aba. Lol ORLU brothers has invested so much in Owerri yet they want a state of their own. It shows they have got enough confidence that they can develop Orlu to premium standard. 1 Like |

Re: State Creation In South East: Aba State by OnoVegasBlog: 3:13am On Sep 30 |
waternogetemeny:The Ikwerre of course. Ngor Okpala is a bridge between Etche, Mbaise. Infact they are mixture of both. I'm also aware of the rumored migration origin between Etche and Oratta (Owerri) but this is false. Except the fact that some part of Etche find it way to Ohaji (caused by Etche elders for reason best known to them) and that this Etche people in Ohaji LGA now speak more like owerri people. |

OnoVegasBlog: You did try to follow the Ikwerre path and seize the property of non Ngwa Igbo after the war. Ukpabi Asika quashed that demonic attempt. Till today, non Ngwa Igbo who built houses in Aba still pay annual land use rent to the family that sold the land to them. Ngwa are too greedy. You stole the turn of Abia North to produce the PDP governorship candidate in the 2023 elections. Now you are writing about a purpoted Aba State as an Ngwa State totally ignoring the existence of Ukwa people. Shows what your type have in store for them: perpetual slavery and third citizenship. Your devilish plots will always fail. |

Funny enough, what if I'm from Ukwa (Asa) because most of us identify as Ngwa. Non the less let me not digress cus that what you want. Ukwa people are very much aware of your.... You cannot claim to love Ukwa and Hate Ngwa. .. it's like hating on Mbaise and Pretending to live Ngor Okpala.. The focal point is that Ngwa and Abia north has got nothing in common. |

This is exactly what that wasterner known as Ebubu is doing all to work against Ndigbo. Igbos on nairaland must learn how to read between the lines. Anioma state is the choice of Ndigbo. Omo no eastern governor will back Anioma state in south east. It is to our best interest if Anioma is in South South. Our leaders rejected Anioma in the past, the choosed Ebonyi instead. They will repeat it again. |
Re: State Creation In South East: Aba State by Ebubu2: 10:03am On Sep 30 |
Ojiofor: Afikpo and Abakaliki have always had commonality. Both Afikpo and Abakaliki were part of Ogoja province with capital in Abakaliki (Ogoja, Afikpo, Abakaliki, Abam, Ugep, Obudu, etc), Afikpo and Abakaliki are the Igbo traditions observing parts so were thus reunited after they were separated into Imo and Anambra states because history had it that Afikpo migrated from Aro and Abakaliki progenitor (Ekumenyi) also migrated from Aro. So Afikpo and Abakaliki commonality is Aro ancestry. |

Re: State Creation In South East: Aba State by JuicyEarth: 12:45pm On Sep 30 |
You speak like one that is daft. I have been reading through other people's contributions and found out your are a man full of prejuice. Juxtapose your shameless comments about a tribe in Igboland with how other ethnicity percieves Igbo's. You want Biafra, see your mouth full of venoms against a tribe of your own. Same way you don't want an Aba state, Biafra will continue to suffer sabotage. With people of your mentality, I won't be suprise, if tomorrow an Ngwa person states that they are not Igbo's like an average Onitsha man will call you (Nwa ndi Igbo). Moreover, most Ngwas that I have encountered claim ancestry to Omuma people in Rivers State and of Akwa-ibom extraction. When they speak of Igbos that are draft, insulting and bags of evil, with your speech pattern one can deduce that people from your side of Igbo are powerful delegates and representatives. State your fear clearly, that what makes Abia a revenue generating state is predominately from Ngwa extraction; if the should leave Old Bende will be a carcass of lost glory. I am in the state and involved in high level matters, so I know what I am saying. Men like you needs to be guage. PS: Both late VC and Okey is good - The persons OVi who is from Abia South presented as Governorship candidates is not of the same senatorial zones or Local Government with him rather both are from Abia Central and Isialangwa axis. Re: State Creation In South East: Aba State by Ojiofor: 1:34pm On Sep 30 |
JuicyEarth: You started with insult and ended up writing an epistle to counter someone you consider as daft. We all know how clannish Ngwa can be given any opportunity we will have another Ikwerre in Igboland to deal with just as you asserted. Why should another Ngwa man replace another as governor in disregard to our culture of power rotation between Abia North,Abia Central and Abia South. After Ikpeazu's tenure power supposed to return to Abia North not Abia central. You guys think you are wise! Aba state is not feasible in the nearest future as Nigeria is currently structured.Even if they want to create two more states from SE Aba state will not be among. If you create Aba state 9 LGAs will be gone with it,what will be left of Abia state? As for Biafra I am not agitating neither I am expecting it will be actualized in the nearest future because realistically speaking, like Aba state it is not possible. |

Re: State Creation In South East: Aba State by JuicyEarth: 2:28pm On Sep 30 |
Sorry for my earlier tantrums. You replied as it should be but your earlier submissions were more clannish than the accused. Let me delve into the politics of Abia as someone who grew up in the state and in the known. Abia state is typically divided into two divisions: The Aba Ngwa and Old Bende axis. Now let us go into the power play since the creation of Abia. The first civilian governor of Abia till the later; * Ogbonnaya Onu - Old Bende region * Orji Uzor Kalu - Old Bende region (Abia North) * T.A Orji - Old Bende region (Abia Central) * Okezie Ikpeazu - Aba Ngwa region (Abia South) * Oti Chioma - ancestry is from Old Bende region but choose to live among Ngwas in Abia Central. Worthy of note is that Abia central is made up of both old Bende and Ngwa extractions and in this mixture...the Old Bende have taken their slot. In all sincerity, what is wrong if Okezie Ikpeazu chooses to return the governorship slot to Abia central wherein the Ngwa extraction take it so as to be duly represented? From the above presentation where did the Ngwa people became greed and clannish? Who are those more represented in the State since its creation wherein old Bende have produced 3 governors, Otti making it 4 while Ngwas have produced 1 governor? Is Nigeria rulership wherein the North with nothing to contribute to this entity wants to take it all and still the less developed not typically displayed in Abia State? Let the sane minds judge your reply. Ps: Each time I look at Abia State, I see Nigeria in full display. Ojiofor: |

Re: State Creation In South East: Aba State by JuicyEarth: 2:46pm On Sep 30 |
Now sequel to the above reply, Is your fear that of the Local Government Areas that will remain in Abia state or that the goose that lays the golden egg is pulled out from Old Bende's whims? Just like the oil that grease the wheel of Nigeria is in Southern Nigeria so it is with the Ngwas in Abia State. State your truth and stop profiling people as clannish. Tomorrow you will fight hard here, when Igbos are been profile as ritualist, drug barons and all evils in their bag. Until there is a paradigm shift in thinking, you will continue to emotinally justify your wrong submissions. Tomorrow it will be "Wawa people" or "Deje people". Just like Obasanjo said "Atiku to be president? I laugh" Old Bende region will keep developing Ngwa region just same way una believe say "Igbos are developing Lagos ". |
Re: State Creation In South East: Aba State by Ojiofor: 2:51pm On Sep 30 |
JuicyEarth: Let us concentrate on politics of Abia and leave tantrums for now. We are nolonger living in colonial times when Igboland was divided in old Bende and Aba divisions....We are in the fourth republic where senatorial zones have constitutionally replace the old order. So old Bende and Aba division is nolonger in existence. In 1999 Abia elders had a gentleman's agreement for sake of equity and justice to rotate power among the 3 senatorial zones so called Aba division was part of that agreement only to selfishly change the rules of the game in the middle of a match in the name of old Bende and Aba division that is being clannish. Aba and Umuahia was a colonial creation and we in Abia North see the two cities as a collective heritage of nde Abia state and we have contributed a lot to its development. |
