Medical was waived because of my location, however I came to Nigeria to apply. Many applicants who are applying from abroad may not go through medical examinations.

Ohhh okay thank you for explaining.

You have been motivated to immigrate with zero fund, Canada is not Nigeria where you will have an uncle, brother, sister of aunty to show for you. You dont want to push yourselves into a life of nightmare.

Nobody likes the truth lol. Leave them, they can land with zero funds and hope to work to raise their tuition fees working 20 hrs per week, who says it is not possible. Experience is the best teacher.

Okay I retract my statement.

Your story though possible but its not the usual experience others have.

But from limitless hours of on-campus work i think its possible to work more and earn more. That is what I have learnt from your unique story.

You should write a book on how to survive in Canada with zero funding. grin

That one might be studying in another Canada somewhere not the main Canada in NA we all know 😐

[quote author=MarksmanD post=132230488]No one is over pushing negatives. They're telling us the reality on ground and the challenges students and new permanent residents are facing with the economy. Because of one out of ten people is lucky and has a different experience, it doesn't mean that things are okay for the remaining nine. Plan your study visa with enough funds for a year to avoid stories that touch.

It is well, thank you.

You once posted that your admission was revoked by Conestoga for lack of study permit. What's the update on the deferment? Did you get a new LOA and were you able to send it to them via webform?

I uploaded the new LOA via webform. I was able to defer to January

A student came to Canada in September 2024 and has 5 job offers in care giving jobs pay over 20 CAD after 3 weeks in Canada. there are jobs depending on the kind of job you are looking for and how smart you are.

Guys and ladies ,

Is Canada really worth it going by this various restrictions and issues in that country currently ?

Ma'am what if someone left school for long? Is there a way to overcome their restrictions based on this loan organisation. Tried to register but was told ineligible because of how long my last study was.

Can you give more information on how to access this loan? Or should message you for personal clarification and help?

Thanks in anticipation of your clarification and assistance.

And please can my sponsor (my Dad) use his two accounts for my POF, or all the money has to be combined in one account of his.

These are the people giving false hope to other people. Let us do the maths.I will go for the extreme senario which is very rare. There are 24 hours in a day. Let say the student work 24 hrs daily from one job to another. For three weeks, the student cant work more than 504 hours. No care job pay more than $30/hr in Canada. $30 is the highest. Pay ranges between $16 and $25.

Let us go for $30 per hr. . For three weeks, that student would work 504 Γ— 30, which is $15,120.

Then where did he/she get the $20,000 you said the student paid after three weeks?

Hello guys, is it advisable to have an upfront medical examination since I am staying in a different state, and returning for the test after biometrics will also require more money and time?

Please what are the pros and cons of having an upfront medical?

Someone working 24hrs ,30 dollars per hour for 3weeks with the same employer should earn more than 15,120 dollars in 3 weeks not 15,120 dollars..
This is overtime work..will be equal t0 20,880 dollars.

Hello House, IRCC just requested me to do medical examination. Unfortunately, I left Nigeria for a trip abroad and I am not going to return to Nigeria soon.

I have 2 questions.
i) after submit medical results, how long is the waiting before decision will be issued?
ii) Is it not going to raise a red flag if I do medical examination any where in the world?

Thanks guys for your contribution
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by MarksmanD: 6:37am On Oct 03
Today, July 3rd, makes it exactly 3 months for me. The way forward are two options. First an option is based on you getting the study permit. Since Canada is changing its PGWP rules, use this wait time to prepare for the incoming changes by learning French or taking IELTS or CELPIP study classes. Also learn a new skill that is needed in the Canada economy. The second option is based on if you don't get the visa. There are some schools in the UK and Europe with January programs still open. Apply to these programs as a second option.

If you're uncertain about the whole thing, why don't you just play it safe by returning to Nigeria. Within 3 weeks, you'll be able to sort out your medicals and submit and collect your passport after stamping.
