Maresca is not making excuses neither is any Chelsea fan making excuses for him, he is working with what he met on ground. I think it's only Sancho that is new in their line up, he came in and immediately decided to offload players he didn't need or froze them out of the team because he knows what he wants. James is out injured, he is their best defender. Lavia is injured too after an impressive start but still he is working with the players available and doing well so far.

How about Flick at Barcelona who is doing wonders with kids? FDJ only returned to the bench after being absent for months now, Araujo is out injured, Olmo is injured, Fermin is injured as is Christensen, Bernal, Gavi and Ter Stegen yet Barcelona fans are still going into each match day expecting to win, no excuses even when you can easily make up one for Flick.

You think Pep will settle for less because Rodri, KDB and Ake are out injured? He will find a way to win regardless.

That we do not have an established pattern of play after 2 full seasons here is an indictment on ETH whether or not you admit it. In Pep's first season at City, we all could see what he wanted to do even though the personnel let him down most times but with ETH, there's no glimpse of the kind of football he wants to play. He simply is not good enough or the pressure of coaching a top team and in a high pressure environment got the better of him.

As to your first points, why don't y'all just chill a bit before throwing in new managers in their honeymoon period.


As for your 2nd point, just like Pep we saw how Ten Hag wanted to play from the first 3 games. But it ended as a disaster cuz the team was not suited for that. Pep met great technical players like David Silva and KDB and was able to build something from that. Prior to that City also played attacking football. The transition was easy.

Look at Chelsea, they've had good possession based/attacking managers from Potter to Poch now to Maresca. Maresca found the transition easier. Who found it most rough among them? Potter. Why? He took over from tuchel. The transition was difficult. This is a fact everyone loves to ignore.

Or is Flick also supposed to find it difficult taking over from Xavi at Barca? I dare these guys to take over Athletico or Juve.

What you have just done is drop excuses either way...If Maresca and Flick's team fail to meet the expectations as the season progresses, you will be quick to say you called it earlier but if they go on to do great things you'll point to the excuse you put up there.

Bin Laden has spent over £550m over 3 seasons, does it not count for something? Barca that buy players and can't register them unless they sell is the team that was stable before Flick came in abi? The same Barca that had to push Gundogan out of the club just so they can register Olmo is the one you are painting in golden pictures like one team that was at the top before Flick took over...

You will be quick to share reasons why other coaches are doing well but you remain blind to the things Bin Laden has going for him. You think Flick, Xavi, Maresca and Co won't like to coach a team where they have the resources to get the players of their choice?

Anybody that watch Bologna last season will know that Motta is a very progressive coach. Na we just decide to remain with scam while Bin Laden boys were on about how no one out there was better.
