It's obvious Hezbollah has a massive failure in intel level and has been deeply compromised by mossad. This is not a satellite observation and external intel gathering operation but a deep one interwoven with several agents embedded there.

They would need to root the bug out very fast or it'd be the end of Hezbollah as ISR win wars today and if you have good ISR and still have access to ISR of the enemies then you've won because not only do you plan your movement well, you also know what enemies are planning and counter effectively. You see what they will do before they even start it

I seriously doubt any of those jets would be there when the missile lands unless all the Israeli radars somehow malfunctions at the same time. Those jets would've been moved away from range of the missiles or scrambled into the air. Now since we know air raid alerts did go off in Israel we can conclude the radars did work so if Israel is stupid enough to still leave jets in range then they got what they deserve

Israel has been flying sorties non-stop for almost a year now.
Western jets are high maintenance. The F-35A requires around 4 hours of maintenance for every hour flown.
So it is conceivable that stood down F-35 may have been parked and couldn't be sent airborne in the 12 minutes flight time of the Iranian missiles.

Also, prior to the war, Israel had been operating on the principle that their bases were off limits.
They had nothing to worry about from Hamas rockets. Long-range precise Hezbollah missiles are used strategically.
They also have the third best AD force on the planet after Russia and the US defending a tiny stretch of land.
Iran should not be able to strike their bases. Not with the integrated Arrow-3/David Sling/Iron Dome meshed AD system covering just 22,000 square km (smaller than that if you exclude open fields and non-valuable targets like parking lots).
Iran is saying they hacked the AD units. I don't know how believable that is but it does play with the failures of Oct 7.

Whatever it is, it explains Iran's confidence.

Iran successfully reset the calculus.
Essentially, you can hurt us. But so can we. And we are a larger country with more people.
Know your pain tolerance before you respond because we think we'll run out of targets for our missiles before you.
The next critical open question is Iran's defense. Can they shoot down Israeli jets and missiles?
The better they are at that, the worse the chess board looks for the Israelis.

Furthermore, it sucks for the Israelis that Ukraine cornered all of the spare AD equipment that would have been going to Israel now.

Russia, China and North Korea will be grinning really hard right now.
Taiwan is done. South Korea will be like Dresden. If Israel's most prestigious air base is a potshot for Iran, the Axis own Eurasia.

Iran used cyber attack to keep the ADs silent and they even claimed many F-35s exploded due to the cyber attack while parked at base.
I guess they know isreal's strength and how to counter it.
Neutralize her air superiority thereby forcing her to fight on ground which will be disaster to her

Some of the Iranian claims are outlandish.
They're adding spice.

They scored precise hits. Certainly took out structures in the bases.
May have immobilized a few air assets.
Anything more is padding.

Netanyahu underestimated the Iranians.
But Israeli air force is still potent.
Vulnerability to Iranian missiles is the new factor they have to account for.
Yes, you can strike Iran's oil. But Iran can strike your chip design facilities.
In a tit for tat, many Israeli companies will relocate to the West.
Israel has a lot to lose and that's one arrow in Iran's quiver.

Frequent travelers is the claim by Ribadu true that kidnap and highway crimes have reduced

https://www.nairaland.com/8230587/drive-night-travel-part-nigeria

This is also a gentle reminder that to some of us who are, don’t forget the Nigeria of 2022. Here in Abuja, bad people and terrorists would come here and kill our soldiers.

“In Nigeria, people would come in and attack our prisons and remove the most dangerous persons from the prison; just 2022 up to 2023. They would attack a train and take hundreds of victims of kidnapping.

“That is Nigeria of 2022. And we came in, and I can assure you Abuja is secure. Today you can drive at night, and you can go to Kaduna, you can go to Lokoja, you can go to Minna. You can go to Lafia and you will feel safe, that is one year and four months. In Nigeria, you can travel to any part of the country and you dared not do it in 2022.”

He is telling lies to make himself feel good.

No fewer than 2,140 people were reported kidnapped across 24 states of the country between January and July 2024, findings by SUNDAY PUNCH have shown.

The research was conducted through a careful analysis of various kidnapping incidents reported in four Nigerian newspapers, namely The PUNCH, The Guardian, The Nation, and Vanguard during the period under review.

It also showed that families of 62 victims, representing 2.89% of the total abductees, paid the sum of N389m as ransom to secure their release from the kidnappers.

[Over the seven months, gunmen reportedly kidnapped 193 people in January, 101 in February, 543 in March, 112 in April, 977 in May, 97 in June, and 117 in July, totaling 2,140.

A total of 667 victims were kidnapped in Zamfara, 454 in Kaduna, 252 in Niger, 183 in Abuja/FCT, 121 in Borno, 117 in Katsina, 60 in Kogi, and 47 in Ogun. Others are Delta (35), Nasarawa (31), Oyo (20), Benue (19), Rivers (13), Ondo (33), Sokoto (15), Ekiti (10), Akwa Ibom (29), Abia (10), Anambra (5), Taraba (6), and Edo (2).

Among the reported incidents by The PUNCH was the case involving 85 travelers abducted along the Kaduna-Abuja highway near Katari, in the Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State, between January 4 and 5.

The most significant incident in February occurred on the first day of the month when a terrorist gang abducted no fewer than 60 wedding guests who were believed to be escorting a bride home in the Sabuwa Local Government Area of Katsina State.

In May, the gang, which kidnapped and murdered a retired military officer in Owerri area of Imo State, Major General Richard Duru, collected the sum of $50,000 (N79.8m) as ransom from his family.

Also, the 30 kidnapped students of the Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa, said they paid N40m as ransom before they were freed. Similarly, the Paramount Ruler of the Mbo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, Ogwong Okon Abang, paid the sum of N50m to secure his freedom from kidnappers in May.

In June, some bandits killed a ransom negotiator in Kaduna after collecting the sum of N16m to release the hostages in their custody.

In July, kidnappers collected the sum of N76m as ransom to free three among the six persons they abducted near the office of the Federal Road Safety Corps in Awka, the Anambra State capital.

Worsening security in August

In the last two weeks, more Nigerians have been abducted as security agents appear helpless.

A total of 20 medical and dental students, along with a house officer, were kidnapped by gunmen in Benue State.

Wasn't that the point I was making? He was not a child. By 2015, he was about 30 years old. He's made comments in other sections which suggest his age as he was complaining about his parents nagging and comparing him to his best friend who already had 3 kids by 2017 or so.

His juvenile antics got most people picturing him as a teenager when he was drop-kicked by that woman in a bus, but he was almost Yakubu Gowon's age when he became Head of State. That's why I can't wrap my head around women getting away with beating him up. It is shameful!
Sad thing is, he's the only child - the responsibility to carry on the family's legacy lies with a weakling kidult.

This one time, I support eugenics.
