It's good. I personally enjoyed it.
The ending was weird since it had to follow real history. But that's common with most shows based on real history
abduleez1:

I just finished it yesterday night.
It's very top tier. Strongly recommend. Easily a 9/10.
Writing, acting, dialogue and storytelling masterpiece.
Was thinking it's on the same level with Those About To Die. I'll give it a try.

Rings of power season 2 episode 8 is a solid 10/10
Spoilers alert!!!

Finaly the season has come to an end, what a Rollercoaster of Adventure, action, magic, thrill and brutal battle.
This episode 8 got me emotional and sad in so many scenes.
Felt sad with the death of Calibrimbor, even though it was expected.

The fight scene between Saroun and Galadriel was GOATED, especially with the sequence of the environment with rocks and mountains and with the dialogues that followed as they fought, the fight was brutal and yet beautiful to watch.
The part where Galadriel threw herself off that cliff almost got me off my sit, i was like, wait a minute!!! Are they killing her off the show?
Lol
Finaly, Gandalf has gotten his staff, the Hatfoot have started a new journey.

Saroun finally has his 9 rings and his armies, though the death of Arda was kind of sad.

I can't wait for next season because it's going to be battles upon battles from Numenor to the dwarf mountains to all over middle earth, it's going to be war and a new wave of evil.
The last scene where Galadriel got healed from her wounds was emotional, i love the glowing of her skin, it was a beautiful site to behold.

The rings of power season 2 has surpassed all expectations unlike season 1, they really brought in their A game.

Dialogues 10/10
Plot 10/10
Thrill 10/10
Action 10/10

Indeed!! Evil and darkness can't be fought with strength but with light.

I can't wait for season 3.

Spoilers alert for the rings of power.

I don't know why i kind of felt sad as the ring of power season 2 has ended.
Perhaps i gave gotten too emotionally attached to the series especially in this season 2.

For worth is worth, i have fallen for Galadriel already.
She somehow reminds me of mother confessor in the seeker.
However, these are my favourite characters this season.

1) Calibrimbor
This man gave his all in this season 2, i am surely going to miss him.
Our ring creator, our sensie filled with wisdom and knowledge.
Before his death, i loved how he called sauron "lord of the rings" before he died.

2)Sauron
This man killed it this season, the master and lord of deception.
Even when in battles, he will still use words to deceive you.
Very gentle, slow to anger in order to achieve his aims.
His dialogues with Calibrimbor are parts of my favourite scenes.

3)Dissa
Whoever selected this woman for her role deserves a race.
She played her role so well and embodied her role.
Each time her face was on my screen, my mood always changes in excitement, i can't wait to see more of her in season 3.

4)Arda.
The way Arda grew on me this season was unbelievable.
Man was not evil as people thought him to be, all he wanted was to see his children saved.
His death was sad i must confess.

5) Galadriel
She has really grown on me this season.
What a woman!!! Her strength and perseverance is her greatest strength.
I love her she stayed true to her friends and people even after all that Saroun offered her.

I can't wait to see her again in season 3

Agatha all along episode 4 is a solid 7/10 for me.

Another nice and beautiful episode, the scene where they did a mini Musical concert to break the spell was beautiful.
Funny enough, the song is now stuck in my memory that i can now sing along some parts, lol.
There is something about Agatha and the young kid though, i knew it and even though that green witch told her the boy isn't hers, i have a feeling that she is lying to Agatha.

I guess we will have to find out as the season progresses further.

Galadriel had darkness in her. However, when Sauron stabbed her with that crown, it created an opportunity for the elf king and Elron to remove the darkness (heal her) with the ring. That's why she shines bright like a diamond. Many people don't understand this show.

Calibrimor deserves an Emmy. The entire season 2 was about him. In fact the Ring of Power is supposed to be about him since he created the rings. Bro was the first to call Sauron Lord of the rings. He also foresaw the one who will defeat Sauron.

The Rings of Power s2 ended on a high note. Kudos to the producers for the improvement from season 1.
Episode 7 is the best episode yet, episode 8 follows it..

Overall the season 2 was a good watch, worth my time invested.

ROME......9.9/10

The best historical epic about the Roman Empire by a huge mile. HBO seriously cooked with this.

The story follows the politics, war and strife in Ancient Rome and follows two soldiers Titus Pullo and Lucius Vorenus in their inputs in creating the Roman Empire.
One can't forget the quality cast all round most especially Ciaran Hinds as Julius Caesar. I'd say he was born for the role and played the role with finesse. The actor for Marc Anthony did a brilliant job as well. No dull moment when Anthony is on the scene.
Notable mentions goes to the two powerful women who portrayed Atia of the Julia and Servilia of the Junii.

Premium tier storytelling, good dose of historical accuracy as well as creative freedom in adapting for a more dramatic and entertaining feel. The cinematography was very good and holds up to this day. Impeccable writing, witty dialogue, superb acting, and some decent action in between.

Fully captures the rot in the Roman Republic and the need for strongmen to right the ship and take the Roman state to greater heights — Roman Empire.

It showcases love, lust, betrayal, brotherhood and all the vices and virtue of life. Solid dose of nudity and vulgarity to boot giving it pristine authenticity with the times.

The show just made me realise how pivotal thuggery and hooliganism is to the government. The use of Erastes Fulmen and his boys to do the dirty works of the government in the background just brought to fore how long this pillar has been in society. It's as old as civilization itself. The ancestors to modern day mafia or Agberos in Nigerian context. These people are a strong pillar of government and won't go away any time soon.

My only gripe with it is the portrayal of Cleopatra. I didn't like the actress used. She wasn't really pretty to me. And the show portrayed Cleopatra as an hedonistic slüt. They got the seductress angle right tho and the Marc Anthony love story. But I wasn't feeling the Nobility in her, the Queen-like Chutzpah!!

The show was mostly historically accurate despite some fine blend of creative and entertaining licences.
A prime piece of Historical Fiction. No one compares.

For a show that was somehow cancelled midway in S2 because of the high budget, its ending was very well a desirable finale to an awesome adventurous ride.

Exactly!!! Man truly deserves an Emmy for his role.
There would have been no rings without Calibrimor.

He played a fast one on sauron in that scene where it looks like sauron wanted to use magic to keep him alive and he purposely got into the head of sauron on purpose so sauron can finally end his pains.

Although ratings are subjective, I think this guy over exaggerate too much. This was the same way he rated Queen Woo 10/10. Imagine rating that bore fest 10/10?

I must say your taste in films is quite weird... Well, everything comes to personal choices in the end. Maybe I have too much expectations, that's why I'm disappointed? 🤔

This Junji Ito really has a weird and macabre imagination with his stories and visuals.

My taste in film is different because when i watch films, i look for diverse specifics.
However while it's true that ratings are subjective, i never rated Queen woo 10/10.
First part was 9/10 which was deservedly so and the second part was 8/10 for me..

Subjectively, it was a borefest for you but for me, it was an epic and a wonderful political drama.
