Suspected hoodlums detonated explosives at the All Progressives Congress (APC) Secretariat on Aba Road in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, prompting concerns about the safety of the party and its leaders.

Tony Okocha, the factional Chairman of the APC in Rivers State, confirmed the incident, stating that the party is under attack.

In a video shared on Arise TV, Okocha detailed how he was alerted early in the morning about the explosion. He noted that while one explosive went off, another failed to detonate, averting what could have been a much larger disaster.

The attack occurred at a rented office space used by the party.

"This morning I woke up at 3:30, my phone kept ringing, and it was my admin notifying me that our office has been attacked with explosives. This is the second attempt," Okocha said. He expressed deep concern over what he called increasing hostility towards APC members, especially by individuals in uniform. He implied that APC leaders are being unfairly targeted, particularly during public events involving the governor and his team.

Okocha called on Nigerians to take note of the situation, emphasizing that the APC in Rivers State is facing coordinated aggression. He urged authorities to investigate the matter thoroughly and ensure the safety of party members.
