Wow. Menial jobs are for Nigerians abroad, as
Nigerians, 99% from the south, Jappa - run away from Nigeria, as Islamic fundamentalists led by Boko Haram, Bandits, armed Fulani herdsmen are closing up on all in Nigeria.
The Islamic fundamentalists are gunning for a country to be governed with Sharia criminal justice system, the same Sharia criminal justice system adopted by political and religious leaders in the 12 far north states of Nigeria.

Meanwhile, the lady is okay with personal house in London and Nigeria

Ok

In the early 90s, i got a job to work in the kitchen of a major hotel in Detroit. The hot plates kept coming out of the washing machine at a very fast pace. I couldn't keep up.
I went to lunch around 12pm and never returned. They had to mail me my check for the couple of hours that i worked there.
That's an experience that I'll never forget.

They paid you for the hours

It can never happen in nigeria

EVery job you do, you dress properly for. The same with Cold Room, Dishwashing, etc. If you dey wash dishes, wear water-resistant clothing, good hand gloves, etc., and you will be fine. If working in a cold room, be sure to wear proper cold-resistant clothing, hat, etc. undecided

Great advice about safety and frostbite.
Personally, I love night shift. Working during cold would take serious discipline or dollars.
Exactly! You go in making sure you have the right gear for the job and you might actually end up enjoying the job. undecided

Also, serious discipline is something many Nigerians lack.... this is quite evident in Nigeria for instance. There are cold-room and dishwashing jobs in Nigeria as well. undecided

easy said than done in europe enviroment. In nigeria, you can take break and nap, you can ague with your supervisor small and tell him reasons why you need rest. But over there, they see you as rubot, any attemp to take a rest, you will be threatning with sack and deportation

It depends on what part of Nigeria.

I have passed the governors house by midnight, 1am, 5am, 3am... For years, I have never once seen the security sleeping because cameras are on them. Here in Nigeria.

Frostbite is a serious health concern in Europe
Frostbite only happens in cold-rooms? Abegi, working anywhere involves wearing the right gear for the job. Those who are too lazy to understand this aspect of work should not advise other possibly less disciplined minds. undecided

Doing jobs Oyibo refused to do is the means of survival to Nigerians in Europe who don't have special skill.

But one certainty: nearly all the Nigerians who left Nigeria will not return again to finally settle in Nigeria.

How? Nigeria's government is not making living conditions in Nigeria better than when they left.
The Islamic fundamentalists with their sympathizers for a country to be governed with Sharia criminal laws, are now left to largely decide who rules where in Nigeria at every election. This group can never make Nigeria better for the fleeing Nigerians to return to Nigeria. The northern people migrate southwards to occupy the places left by fleeing Nigerians.
That's formation for a new Nigeria nation.

Work ethnic in most of Nigeria is generally poor among Nigerians which is why many companies there prefer to hire foreigners than Nigerians in Nigeria. undecided

People dey wash plates all day long in restaurants even in Nigeria. So long as the pay is good, why not. All you have to do is dress properly for the work β€” good gloves are great for this β€” and you are good to go without minding how many plates you end up washing at the end.

That's the price you pay if you relocate without being prepared, career-wise.

Study the terrain of that country, find out what you need in terms of qualification or skills to get the best jobs, and PREPARE yourself!

Don't just take off and think some miracle job will materialise once you land... Na menial jobs you go end up doing to survive!

Nonsense claim! Who fed you this nonsense that working in a cold room is against one's health? Like every other job, you make sure you dress and have the right gear for the job; you end up enjoying it. undecided

Are you telling me that those who work in cold rooms right there in Nigeria are also killing their health? Make una dey apply brain power when assessing these things. undecided
