Good afternoon sir
What is the full meaning of
*NASD* ?
Thanks
emmasoft:

Trading on NASD App
You can't use your cscs details on NGX to trade on NASD.

To trade using the app, first open a NASD csc account with any of the stockbroker that has NASD license, then download the app and while registering on the app, provide your NASD details not NGX details. NASD will contact your stockbroker to confirm your identity, once that is done, you will have access to trade on any NASD stocks, you fund your account directly to the app and do your buy/sell; any trasaction down will be sent to your stockbroker and be captured in your NASD inhouse account with your stockbroker. Trading on NASD is linked with your stockbroker at the backend.
To open a NASD cscs, click the 3rd link on my signature to complete the online registration.
However, immediately you complete the online registration, send a mail with your full name to inform the customer care that your registration is for NASD because the default is NGX cscs or you can contact me to send NASD account opening form to you.

@Myc please what do you know about the company Geo Fluids? It is listed on NASD. However I found info online that it has been around since about 2006. There was announcement in the press that it was to be listed on NSE (now NGX) in 2012. But I can't find any confirmation that it was actually listed. It is not on the list of delisted companies on the NGX website. I can't find website a website of Geo Fluids.

We are in a bearish market... This may continue till December.

Total FDI was a mere $28million meaning very little foreign investors are investing in Nigeria and it is a signal to more investors to be cautious or pull out their funds.

Tinubu policies are creating more problems in every sector of the economy...

Trading License Holders and the investing public are hereby notified that trading in the shares of Transnational Corporation Plc (Transcorp or the Company) was suspended today, Thursday, 10 October 2024.

The suspension is necessary to prevent trading in the shares of Transcorp to enable the Company’s registrars and CSCS to reconcile their books for the listing of the reconstructed shares on Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) pursuant to a share capital reduction embarked upon by the Company.

The suspension is required for the purpose of determining the shareholders who are entitled to receive the reconstructed shares.

This is for your information and necessary action, please.

Please can you elaborate on this issue of Geo Fluids swallowing investors' money?

I saw some buying momentum picking up on it on NASD and intend to do some DD before buying. It is possible the buying momentum is just because it is in the oil and gas sector. People are now buying anything O&G.

Those that have missed out on Transcorp...it is well grin

TOE needs to pump it...funds needed for UBA offering.

Oga stcool, please quick question.
What does it mean when a majority shareholder pumps price for a purpose like this? I know you can't read anyone's mind, but asking because I want to understand the logic behind the assumption that a billionaire investor would influence stock price to raise cash from the market.

Is it to borrow against the new Naira value of their holdings, or to sell (which directly reduces their stake, and might even affect their majority position). My thoughts would be that the interim dividends from UCAP, AFRIPRUD and UBA will go a long way in claiming his rights when issued or that there would be other means. I would understand why an investor like Otedola would pump price, sell and move on to the next one.
