3. Financial plans in place to ensure you successfully obtain your proposed diploma.
4. Intent to return to Nigeria afterwards

For a successful interview, be prepared to:

1. Demonstrate genuine interest in the program (through your knowledge of the courses and expectations from the program).
2. Link 1 with your relevant skills and experiences
3. Show eagerness

P.S. There are lots of transcripts on this thread already that could be helpful. The tips I provided are mere additional guidance to boost your propensity of scaling through as a community college candidate, and I hope they help.

I come here everyday and I stopped responding because you act like it’s your father’s compound. My last response to a question, you still quoted me and said I’m correct but added some flimsy excuses of No. it’s not a bad thing to offer free advices but understand that everybody has different experiences and your advice isn’t the gold standard for this VISA stuffs.
What worries me is the way you are quick to attack people when they offer a different view. It’s toxic behavior!

VOs stopped issuing F1 visas with community college admission years ago. They don't view applicants with those as bonafide students. Don't reapply with the same I20, you're going to get a refusal again. Try again with either an undergraduate or masters.

Each of us was documentarily qualified in 2020 and got invited for the Visa Interview on August 12. The interview went smoothly, however, each of us was given a 221g, and the following were requested:
A. The Original NPC attestation of the Birth of the petitioner
B. An i864a for the joint sponsor of my parents and me.
All these were submitted to DHL two days after the interview. Afterward, our case status remained refused (though it was updated several times) up until September 25, when it changed to administrative processing, and on September 27, it changed to issued for my parents and me.
Ever since, we've been expecting a mail inviting us to pick up our passports and visa and up till now, we've not gotten any yet.


N.B: Since it's the same petitioner for my parents, myself, and my 2 aunts, we were requested to submit the documents to DHL together,. Although one of my aunts wasn't able to submit them together at the same time; she submitted hers afterward.
Earlier this week, both of my aunties' visa was issued. My question now is how do we get to collect our passports back? Since the us travel docs isn't active again and I've opened avits and ois profile for my parents, please what is the way forward.

** Your Passport must have been returned to the embassy by DHL, while the embassy might have redirected it to OIS but you don't have any account. No AVIT profile , no OIS profile.

** Call the embassy help-line for final instruction.

Very possible to move from BSc to Phd, not just in the US.

the OP brought the question however did not have PhD funding that he needed. Heck he was already scared about needing 300k for visa costs . The Nigerian sponsored MSc he mentioned he had been offered, he already started last year so in reality he's due to finish the course soon.
His real issue is that the funding for msc requires him to work with state govt.
Yet he still wants to Phd
