All these fall under menial jobs. If you must take up such jobs it should be on 20hrs weekly. In such case you have much tym for yourself to heal also. Staying idle won't fetch you money and over working to impress your account is a zero point. Be wise and stay safe.

Wow. Menial jobs are for Nigerians abroad, as
Nigerians, 99% from the south, Jappa - run away from Nigeria, as Islamic fundamentalists led by Boko Haram, Bandits, armed Fulani herdsmen are closing up on all in Nigeria.
The Islamic fundamentalists are gunning for a country to be governed with Sharia criminal justice system, the same Sharia criminal justice system adopted by political and religious leaders in the 12 far north states of Nigeria.
You said nothing sensible olodo.

why are you so provoked? you said it all you did for the pay not that the risk he mentioned wasn't there you chose money over the risk and your health simple.

They pay u well cos of the risk involved. You think u dey wise?
exactly the point, does it mean the hazard mentioned isn't existing in that job?

■ why are you so provoked? you said it all you did for the pay not that the risk he mentioned wasn't there you chose money over the risk and your health simple.
Every job out there comes with some level of risk. Even a programmer who sits at a desk all day long runs the risk of developing health problems. Doctors also have a high risk of depression leading to suicide and contamination. So, if avoiding risks to your health is the sole reason for avoiding work, then you should probably altogether avoid all work. undecided

Now, cold room and chemical industry workers in Nigeria face risks just as the same workers in other countries do. Do we then say no one should do the job at all? Of course, as that would be stewpid thing to suggest. Rather, the best suggestion is to ensure people are aware that they need to wear the right gear for each job to minimize damage and health issues. undecided

By the way, this isn't a matter of choosing money over health as there are many people out there who don't work any of these jobs yet still suffer some terrible health conditions just for existing. undecided

[Your case reminds me of ignorant Nigerians who swear they cannot work as caregivers— my children will never work as caregivers, cleaning other people's butts and vomit —, but when they find they are sick and unable to care for themselves, they expect other people's children to come to help clean their poop and vomit because their kids won't do it. lipsrsealed

That is true. Japanese companies prioritise internships and part-time experiences during interviews. They want to know if you have worked while studying no matter how financially comfortable you are. A lab mate worked as an attendant in a vegan restaurant in Kyoto during the weekends even though her parents were very comfortable. Two others who I was close to worked part-time to offset living costs. One was even owing his rent, but they got good jobs before graduation - Y300K per month in a consulting firm in Tokyo. The difference is that the citizens don't do the hard jobs we do. Na wetin I no want be that. Maybe it is my upbringing sha.

The warehouse packing job I did was because I had to improve my Japanese proficiency as I was job hunting. I needed to be in an environment where only Japanese was spoken and heard. The moment I signed my graduate job offer, I resigned immediately. In Japan, you get a job before you graduate. The other Nigerian I met there, his fingers and palms had deteriorated so badly that it was a warning to me: get a professional job in Japan or return to Nigeria with your scholarship benefits. Here, dishwashing is mostly performed with machines as no human is involved in the process. The most lucrative part-time jobs in Japan are in warehouses (many Africans and Middle Eastern folks) and factory jobs (Vietnamese youths have populated that section as they have better Japanese proficiency). Chinese tend to work in customer-facing positions as they have a better grasp of Kanji and businesses like to employ them to cater to Chinese visitors.

Having the right skill set and brains is extremely important if one wants to live a comfortable life in the abroad. From what I have seen from afar, there are some conditions that I rather move back home than indulge in. Funny enough, one does not come across Southern Africans in such conditions, but mainly West and to an extent Eastern Africans.

What has your body's weakness due probably to ill-health on your part to do with the entire food industry which employs millions of workers who work tediously all day and sometimes into the evenings to ensure people are fed? undecided

2. Again, what has your ill health and lack of stamina to do with the food industry abeg? My first job by the way was working the lines in a food factory. I stood most of the day and my body did not break down in the way you describe yours did. Even in the winter, we did the same job — wearing protective gear so we don't get wet and cold — and did not suffer any of what you claim you did. So why is your experience there which I believe is mostly due to your illness and possibly lack of discipline, the standard by which jobs in the food industry should be judged? angry

Sharia criminal laws and courts are not allowed by Nigeria's constitution.

Sharia civil laws and courts are allowed in Nigeria's constitution, the same way Customary laws and courts are allowed in the Nigerian Constitution.

Sharia criminal justice system includes stoning blasphemous person to death, stoning women to death for adultery, cutting out the hands of thieves, and other obsolete but painful punishment systems.

But your political leaders led by Sani Yerima, the then governor of Zamfara state, unilaterally adopted sharia crimimal laws in the 12 far northern Nigeria states between 1999-2001.
Boko Haram quickly emerged and says that it's fighting for the country to be governed with Sharia criminal laws. Boko Haram is like the Taliban of Afghanistan. After many years of war, the Taliban succeeded in imposing sharia criminal justice system upon all in Afghanistan.
Come up with another Taqqiya.

You see, i don't even know who sani yerima is, why do you even presume that I'm from zamfara state?. When have you ever heard a legal sharia court sentence anyone's hand cut off or stoned in nigeria? And you've been blabbing and claim that about 12 northern states are in practice with the said law, please list them.

The woman from one of the sharia states sentenced to death by a sharia criminal court for adultery is still on exile in Rome. Don't you keep count of the many people burnt or stoned to death in the sharia states over blasphemy? Has anyone been caught or sent to jail by the court for killing those blasphemous persons? The many people you claim is a lie, such incidents can be counted on just one hand. And have any of the stoned or burnt persons tried and sentenced in any legal or recognized sharia court? It is generally done by mobs, which even the sharia condemns so, what are you saying?

Mobs did not sentence the adulterous woman to death. A sharia court did. After her sentence, she escaped to Rome through the help of good Samaritans.

Hisbah police in many of the Sharia states are tactical set ups to enforce sharia criminal justice system in those states. Hisbah police were set up after adoption of sharia criminal laws in the 12 sharia states. Where were the Hisbah police when your claimed mobs killed people who blasphemed? Instead, Hisbah police would go about seizing and destroying alcohol beverages in their sharia states. But your state governors who keep Hisbah police would come to Abuja at the end of the month to claim their states share of federal allocations partly derived from VAT on sale of alcohol beverages. Kwontinue with your Taqqiya. Problem is that rest of Nigeria is feeling the heat brought upon all in Nigeria by the misadventures of adoption of sharia criminal laws in the far north states of Nigeria.

Why are you displaying your ignorance like this? Stop pretending to know what you don't. I asked you to name the 12 states, back your claims with proof. Hisbah does not operate in any state except kano. Stoning for the crime of adultery isn't peculiar to just islam alone, it is done in the three major Abrahamic religions, go find out. And what is really your problem with Sharia law?. And let me remind you this thread is originally not related to all this. Stop derailing. Unless you're unnecessarily pained.
