That is true. Japanese companies prioritise internships and part-time experiences during interviews. They want to know if you have worked while studying no matter how financially comfortable you are. A lab mate worked as an attendant in a vegan restaurant in Kyoto during the weekends even though her parents were very comfortable. Two others who I was close to worked part-time to offset living costs. One was even owing his rent, but they got good jobs before graduation - Y300K per month in a consulting firm in Tokyo. The difference is that the citizens don't do the hard jobs we do. Na wetin I no want be that. Maybe it is my upbringing sha.
bro they do oh
There is no shortcut here like you’ve in naija

In UPS where I’m a supervisor come see how oyinbo, black American teens and adult de load and unload truck 😂
Some of them if you see cars their parent take de bring them come work and some of them wan be adult the kind cars dem de drive come. Even na car note sef at least you go say e no easy oh

Here you must climb the ladder before you get to the top
Everybody must know your story before you become a millionaire or a billionaire

No be like Nigeria wan be say tunde poor yesterday overnight tunde turn multimillionaire with no source of income or how the money take come 🤣😂

■ You can take a break in Nigeria or many breaks... abroad they are clocking you in and out. Even as teachers, we sign in and sign out...God help you if you are late to work anyhow. Just saying most of what we get away with in Nigeria, you no fit try that for productive nations. Na the reason we dey where we dey.
■ Please japa and come back and share the experience by comparing both Naija and Japa nation. grin grin grin
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Even companies in Nigeria generally don't like hiring Nigerians in Nigeria because of that lazy-minded/undisciplined attitude towards work. undecided

2. Any person who goes back to tell Nigerians in Nigeria that their approach to work is better is not only a dubious soul but should be cast out away from civilized people. undecided

Nonsense claim! Who fed you this nonsense that working in a cold room is against one's health? Like every other job, you make sure you dress and have the right gear for the job; you end up enjoying it. undecided

Are you telling me that those who work in cold rooms right there in Nigeria are also killing their health? Make una dey apply brain power when assessing these things. undecided
In Nigeria the weather will help you even if you work in cold room. Stop all these defence of everything in oyibo land. Nobi only you dey there.

Why is it that your retorts make no sense a lot of the times? So, in your mind, the weather in other climes somehow works against those who work in cold rooms, abi? undecided

Why would anyone want to start a career in dishwashing?

You're misunderstanding.

When you're a new immigrant, you'll take these sort of jobs just to quickly get money flowing in. Why not take that job at a good organization where you can use that to your advantage down the line. And often, good organizations are easier to get into at lower levels. Lots of people do some version of this.

The warehouse packing job I did was because I had to improve my Japanese proficiency as I was job hunting. I needed to be in an environment where only Japanese was spoken and heard. The moment I signed my graduate job offer, I resigned immediately. In Japan, you get a job before you graduate. The other Nigerian I met there, his fingers and palms had deteriorated so badly that it was a warning to me: get a professional job in Japan or return to Nigeria with your scholarship benefits. Here, dishwashing is mostly performed with machines as no human is involved in the process. The most lucrative part-time jobs in Japan are in warehouses (many Africans and Middle Eastern folks) and factory jobs (Vietnamese youths have populated that section as they have better Japanese proficiency). Chinese tend to work in customer-facing positions as they have a better grasp of Kanji and businesses like to employ them to cater to Chinese visitors.

Having the right skill set and brains is extremely important if one wants to live a comfortable life in the abroad. From what I have seen from afar, there are some conditions that I rather move back home than indulge in. Funny enough, one does not come across Southern Africans in such conditions, but mainly West and to an extent Eastern Africans.

Hello bro are you at Japan ATM??

All these body and soul destructive jobs are where AI comes into into play.

AI can be integrated with industrial machines and robotics to do these jobs so humans can enjoy life.

Few days ago, China built an over 150km roads using 100% machines without human physical intervention. Our world should progress to that phase.

This would interest you. cheesy (This is me assuming you don't even know about it already lol).

A Chinese doctor, all the way in Rome, performed a 'robotic surgery' on a cancer patient in Beijing.

It's mind-blowing.

The world is buried under western hegemony, hence we dont see all this beautiful tech in everyday life. I follow the development of China very closely, and I can see how their cities and way of life is way more futuristic than the west.

China (as well as Russia, Iran, NK) are the few countries operating outside western hegemony, and can dictate their own economical and technological development hence.

So I am not really surprised. I have been reading, watching and following Chinese tech for at least a decade, and nothing surprises me anymore. Those guys are something else.

If not for western media monopolisation of global narratvies through their media, lots of Africans will restrategize japa to China and not Canada lol. But China also made it almost impossibe to immigrate to their country, and getting Chinese citizenship is next to impossible.

Most Nigerians still see the west as the best place after heaven, but lots of places outside west are more heavenly.

Hm. I see. Maybe this explains why I didn't see any source for that news in any Western media outlet. Like it's a huge deal! I couldn't believe it wasn't trending, and kept scrolling and scrolling on Google search pages hoping I'll see one US scientific or technological website post about it. And I was actually beginning to doubt that such surgery took place since I could not find it on any big media outlet, and was about to dismiss it as an unverified news, until I found that video and saw with my eyes and heard with my ears.

It speaks good about China and makes them looks superior, soo no, you won't see it in their media space.

Their media space exist to maintain their superiority above everyone and the glory of China, aka communism has no place in it.
