Roma is a solid club with good European pedigree. If the Italians make a serious offer I think Aina should consider it. The only thing that might make him not want to leave is maybe departing from familiar environment and family reasons. SamueItem337: |

The story of the Nigerian-born striker who is making waves in River Plate's La Sexta *Jonathan Spiff is a forward and is first in the scoring charts for his category. River's youth teams are full of unique stories. From footballers who made the jump quickly, as is the case of Franco Mastantuono, who went from the Quinta to the Primera without stopping, to players who were loaned to other clubs and returned to triumph at CARP, as happened with Enzo Fernández . But the story of Jonathan Spiff Asuzu, the top scorer in the Sixth Division, is one of the most peculiar biographies of the club's youth teams. The 17-year-old forward is a descendant of Goodwin Spiff, a Nigerian immigrant who came to Argentina 20 years ago in search of work and who met Jony's mother, María, from the province of Entre Ríos. Shortly after arriving in the country, the forward's father became a River fan because, as Jonathan acknowledged in an interview with the club, "he went to watch it because it was the team that played the best." Due to this fanaticism and Jony's skills in playing soccer, his father got him a tryout in Núñez back in 2014 , which he passed in the first practice, allowing him to stay in the club of his loves, where today he is one of the top figures in the lower divisions . A relentless scorer Spiff has scored 16 goals in 18 games for the Sixth Division, in which he is the tournament's top scorer. Despite his height of 1.87 metres, the forward has impressive speed , as well as a great ability to define with either of his two legs. The #9 defined himself as a fast and intelligent player who can read the game. But he also said: " I have an easy time scoring goals , I am very intuitive at creating spaces for myself and participating in the associated game." The idols of the Spiff The striker admitted to being a fan of Julián Álvarez , of whom "I watch everything he does and try to copy many things from him," but he also spoke of his father Goodwin's idols. The Nigerian is an admirer of Jay Jay Ococha, the historic African playmaker, and of Burrito Ortega, one of the main reasons for his fanaticism for River. zicky: Una still dey look Italy like the 1990s players are rejecting Juventus and Inter to play in Aston Villa, Philogene rejected Barca to play in Aston Villa, Epl is where the attention of the world is and a career savvy player would like to play there |

What's up with Eletu of Milan and Frederick of Brentford, why didn't they go on loan like Akin? |

Eletu really bothers me cause I see he him as a medium to long term quality addition to the SE. If AC Milan doesn't have him in their long term future I think they should let him go so he can begin playing competitive men's football. As for Frederick I think Brentford rate him if not he wouldn't have been given a contract I'm optimistic his time will come maybe in lesser competitions like the FA Cup. If nothing changes by end of this season then a loan to move to the championship will be a good option. ChrisKels: |

Condolences to the family of the TV Crew member who lost his life in the unfortunate kidnapping incident while on his way to Uyo. Pray for the safe rescue and return of those still missing. 3 Likes |
