AE is really pissing me, we were lucky today!

You saw opponent packed bus since 1st half and kept shooters with precision like (Onyedika & Bashiru) on the bench for Iwobi and Ndidi till 70mins.
I don't know what to say. Lucky us, Thank God!

Nice one from Dele good positioning for his goal.

Chukwueze and this his end product sha! Facing the opposition GK and you decide to cut the ball to your left instead of hitting with your right one time.

Onyedika and Frank should be starting for now. Raphael progresses the ball better no doubt. Iwobi and even Ndidi might need some time on the bench.

Seems we struggle to play to the strength of our forwards if he's not named Osimhen.

Kudos to defense third competitive clean sheet in a row.

Tactically still not there AE needs help.

All told what is important is the 3 points unto the next game.

The team still played well without him though he is the best we have for now.

The only thing I saw today is Boneface is not a natural ST. He doesn't think fast enough. He will dribble, turn and think long before anything.

How that Libyan GK suddenly became alright and vibrant to be confronting the ref ehn. After feigning head hits and hamstring. I felt like entering my phone to give him kung-fu kick so that he can experience true concussion.

Nigeria vs Libya Stats speak!

Time wasting Knights of the Mediterranean

158 of their 217 passes was done in their own half. Only 59 of their passes was done in our half. Haram football!!!! Elyte89 see your people

That's exactly what we are saying
If you play Boniface as a top 9, he will frustrate
If you play Boniface as your striker, you need to adapt your system to his strengths
He needs other players on his left and right to play off
He cannot play as a lone striker effectively

opes:
Good we scored, I would have been mad with the match officials for adding just 4 minutes, with all the time wasted attending to the goalkeeper when he was injured?
I think the 4 minutes was on purpose to spite the Libyans.

This is the most useless team effort I have seen... I was begging the ref to give the Libyan goal keeper yellow card from first half.

Even the referee was visibly disgusted with their backward tactics...

Initially I was thinking maybe 10 minutes+ for added times. We scored and when I saw 4 minutes, I was really happy for the first time in the match. I was even angry Lookman was running after being substituted, he should have walked like a snail.

Libya is the worst team performance I've seen.

All these iwobi slander Ehn
Na una go still call am back after the replacement begin Dey mess up.

Onyedika is what they expect Nwakali to be.

Boniface might not be suited to the SE game play. He was no where to be found from all cutbacks from the wing.

Still tactically low in my opinion almost played into the Libyans hands if they had better players to catch us on the break. Removing Onyeka disrupted the flow of the midfield before Raphael came on to steady the ship.

The boys are playing for him no doubt but he just needs to further refine his tactical nous.

Omo. Na pure haram football. But once again, we need to be doing better. Let's hire setpieces coach even if na elyte. 6 corners and none was treating atall.

We need to convert 1/3. We really need work in that aspect. CKs threat reduces whenever it's not Osimhen in the XI.

It's okay to be ultra defensive and play with no ambition whatsoever. It is a totally different thing when a team's sole intent is to destroy the game as a spectacle for viewing fans and spectators all over the football world.

The Libyans should playback that game and rightly feel thoroughly ashamed of themselves.

That was a victory for football.

i still prefer Iwobi ahead of Dele Bashiru , let him come in when Iwobi is tired ... Iwobi can bring some moment of brilliance .... but unfortunately he had not a very nice game .. ... the Libyan played a negative footie all through ... they cant afford to do the same on their soil .

Ademola Lookman should be on 4 AfconQ goals by now.

Denied wrongly after a good goal vs Rwanda. Denied again today after an absolutely jaw-droppingly horrendous offside call. Just look below.... habamana!!

Sheyb it’s the same AE that removed onyeka that brought in onyedika, that means he know what he is doing

Fisayo is a better ball striker but he is no creator like Iwobi. Fisayo can pass and progress plays with quick passes and use his body in duels but he doesn't have as broad a vision of the field like Iwobi does.

Iwobi remains the main man in our creative midfield unit. Fisayo's biggest plus is his ball striking.

We need another creative head in the team.

Exactly
The 2 can co exist.
Fisayo can’t create like iwobi, iwobi can’t shoot like fisayo.

This was a criminal call. Something has to be done about this issue asap before it causes serious problems and it eventually will somewhere.

Then you bench him and bring in a striker that can play your system
That's why Onuachu never shone for the SE

Chei.....thank God this thread ain't only Super Eagles Fans thread. AE got got his tactics right. He got his subs right. We played a team that came for draw ffs! They packed double-decker Bus all through - well disciplined with their tactical plan. Played 5 at the back, defended with 11 players yet AE ain't appreciated.

We bossed the match both halves, created chances, scored one and got one stupidly denied by Lineman, yet some are still looking for loopholes to call for AE Head?! So cos Rohr won Rwanda hence we should get him back?!

Una matter here dey tiring at times sha.
