There must be something in the culture of North Africans that teaches them to be dishonourable in football angry

It's one of the reasons I stopped watching anything CAF club competitions when it has to do with any of their clubs

It's just a matter of time. Once Eguavoen qualifies us, my client will be appointed and Eguavoen will be his assistant

Fisayo is a better ball striker but he is no creator like Iwobi. Fisayo can pass and progress plays with quick passes and use his body in duels but he doesn't have as broad a vision of the field like Iwobi does.

Iwobi remains the main man in our creative midfield unit. Fisayo's biggest plus is his ball striking.

We need another creative head in the team.

Brilliant, until we have another creator in the Am area Iwobi is of more importance to the first team than Dele Bashiru

Last corner goal was in the AFCON final πŸ†š Ivory Coast 😌
My detail may be incorrect but fact remains that we are extremely poor with corners and free kicks

All twale to the proactive approach of Austin Eguavoen in this game. Man was not having any wastefulness and tactless mode. Also great thinking for bringing Semi in. That's how to do it. πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―
before the goal, some people where clamouring for another coach oh, foreign Coach to be precised πŸ™ƒ

But that's the thing at Leverkusen I've seen him score some predatory goals but with the national team it's like 'if I no score I no fit kill myself' attitude.

Lookman and Osimhen don't always find the back of the net but you can be damn sure they will try. Just my observation anyway.

Yes, he does score some predatory goals so do other outfield players but as a striker, he is not consistent enough.

How about we play Fisayo as a false 9 then? his ball striking abilities will be more effective there.

You don't understand the way it works. Let me say in simple term. The attackers dragged the Lybian defenders away to create that chance.

Fisayo could have been among those fighting for the ball. It is not just about dealing with crosses but approach to the game.

Stop ke. He didn't say anything beyond the fact that Fisayo brings a goal threat and Iwobi doesn't

He didn’t clarify until later. His original post made it seem like slander to Iwobi.

If that was not the intent, then that’s on me for assuming.

Regardless, we got the 3pts.

That is a tactical set up. Don't try to take that away from the coach. That was not the first time the ball was cut back.

It seems you don't know the definition of luck
Lucky how?
They didn't give us a clear penalty
Ruled out a clear goal
So how exactly were we lucky?

No goal was ruled out..call it a wrong call from the ref..there was already offside call from the ref before the goal..

How good is he in small spaces because he won't get the space to get off his shot at SS, and he doesn't have any quality to lead the line except pressing, I think his role as super sub am suits him well

Since their Uyo plan didn't work, Libya will come out to play in Tripoli, and that would make the match easier for us to win.

No wonder he's always prefared by all our coaches He has never tasted bench role in his career both in club and country.
he is very good offensively and defensively,
He's also very efficient in carrying out his assignment for every coach,

This is why we need to qualify for AFCON by next the next game. We’ll have two games to spare and AE can modify his lineups and try different tactics.

Maybe a 352 with VB and Lookman as a pair.

They aren't wrong in their clamoring. We need stability to get the WCQ process a smooth one and not any funny outcomes like in 2022. But at this rate, i won't be surprised AE gets the job for the AFCON tournament.

i still prefer Iwobi ahead of Dele Bashiru , let him come in when Iwobi is tired ... Iwobi can bring some moment of brilliance .... but unfortunately he had not a very nice game .. ... the Libyan played a negative footie all through ... they cant afford to do the same on their soil .
for me Iwobi had a good game only those miss chances were his shot coming and I hope he starts the second leg

We don't score corners, we don't score free kicks. Last goal by corner should be the WCQ game against Cameroun. Last free kick was Etebo against Lesotho

We need all advantages on deck right now. The reservation of energy would skyrocket if we are getting goals from setpieces. I dunno who's our best 30yrs free kick taker at this rate. Our Cornerkick takers look perfect already but the setup is wack. We need structure for these things mehn.

All foreign coaches including Herve Renard and Andersson chickened out because of our standing in WCQ. Please let AE continue

Chei.....thank God this thread ain't only Super Eagles Fans thread. AE got got his tactics right. He got his subs right. We played a team that came for draw ffs! They packed double-decker Bus all through - well disciplined with their tactical plan. Played 5 at the back, defended with 11 players yet AE ain't appreciated.

We bossed the match both halves, created chances, scored one and got one stupidly denied by Lineman, yet some are still looking for loopholes to call for AE Head?! So cos Rohr won Rwanda hence we should get him back?!

Una matter here dey tiring at times sha.
if we had drawn today's game, the amount of backlash AE would have received from these guys eh!!!
