Abia Tower Should Be Removed, It No Longer Look Attractive. by OnoVegasBlog: 6:30am On Oct 14 |
Governor Alex Otti should consider removing the Abia Tower, as it no longer retains its intended aesthetic appeal. Over time, the structure has deteriorated, losing the ability to serve as a symbol of pride for the state. In its place, a modern and visually appealing feature could be erected. For instance, a waterfall installation or an iconic piece of art, similar to those found in Enugu, could be a fitting replacement. These alternatives would not only enhance the beauty of the area but also make it a tourist attraction and a source of local pride. Replacing the tower with a waterfall, for example, would introduce an element of nature and serenity, while a notable art installation could reflect the rich cultural heritage of Abia State. Such a change would mirror the evolving identity of the state and breathe new life into its capital, drawing attention and admiration. Governor Otti's administration could consider these options as part of a broader effort to improve the state's infrastructure and aesthetics. The move would be a step toward aligning Abia's landmarks with modern standards of beauty and utility. 2 Likes

Abia tower is a historic monument that should be renovated instead of destroyed. It's also a tourist attractive feature and a symbol in Abia. After Abia's coat of arm, the next symbol that has dominated in the state is the tower. 8 Likes 1 Share |

You are used to seeing it. For us who pass there once in a blue moon we always look forward to seeing it. It is also a landmark. 7 Likes |

If water fountain is your problem, it can still be added to the existing structure. Cultural arts that tells our culture can still be added without destroying the existing tower. Why should we look at Enugu when we can create our own standard? 2 Likes |

Rather than remove , why not convert it to something more iconic instead of a concrete tower it can house some traffic light, watch tower or electronic signage bill board. It can b redesigned 1 Like 1 Share |
