villagereporter:bros some useless Nigerians were online also supporting the Libyans oo, infact it was Nigerians on foreign football pages that were standing with super eagles..you see the ones on instagram (Tundeedunt page, yabaleftonline, Gistlover, instablog, naijasport etc) were all saying nonsense “that we started it first and we deserve it” 8 Likes 2 Shares |

Sugarboyy:1. I don't know who you know that rates Tuggar highly but my angst is based on his past comments on the Gaza issue and the common link to Arabs, northerners have i.e religion. 2. The rest of what you assumed I was saying i.e arrests, remains your assumption and nothing remotely close to "their business interests in Nigeria/West Africa" 3. Too bold of you to assume "some of us" don't understand international relations |

SamueItem337:I remember now, you're right...but reading more about that situation now, Ekong actually requested to be excused from the games as he was just recovering from injury and only played the charity match in an off-season capacity to boost his fitness as well as raise funds for his cause. Once again Finidi didn't drop Ekong without his approval. |

The Libyans took it too far. As Goke7 said, they could have been petty in more subtle ways. They ought to pay for their sins alongside the accumulated shenanigans their brother N.African countries have meted out to the continent. Just as it is written in the constitution: Everyday for the thief, one day for the owner. minfelix: 3 Likes |

Odunayaw: While the libyan incident is shameful and pathetic, there’s no reason to have the foreign ministry involved in this matter. It simply hasn’t got that far. Foreign relations is very serious business. |

Hon. Maitama Tuggar. He is the one I referred to from earlier this morning. He sounds passive but let us take it as his way of staying diplomatic while we await the next steps to be taken by CAF and the necessary authorities with respect to whatever else. Odunayaw: 1 Like |

TheSuperNerd:I had totally forgotten. I keenly followed his ministry's handling of the Nigér matter last year and I since lowered my expectations when it pertains to matters which may fall across the "stumbling block" of northerners/elites Modified: I saw you modified the post. Yeah we will sit and wait but I'm not holding my breath sha |

So the pictures flying around of the Libya team 'stranded' were as expected lies. Nothing pained me more today than seeing Nigerians go on the side of the Libyans. 3 Likes

Some Players to keep eyes on 1. Arierhi Kparobo (Beyond Limits): This lad has been my favorite local number 9 talent in Nigeria for over a year now. Fast, strong, two footed, lethal finisher. He's a sharpshooter. I could go on and on but just know that this one has my seal of approval talentwise. If all goes well, he could become the next Osimhen. 2. Raphael Oyebanjo (Shuffle): Do you remember the fantastic midfield 4 of Ebube Okere, Ozor Okeke (now at Elfsborg), Basil Mbata and Raphael Oyebanjo?? Yes... this is one of them. Raphael Oyebanjo himself. I did a talent dossier on him back in 2022 or 23. I will find it and quote it again. He is a midfield trojan. My dossier will say the rest. 3. Charles Agada (Mavlon headed to QPR): This kid is powerful, lethal and a beast forward. We saw him at the U17 Afcon under Ugbade. A game changer on his day and knows his way to Goal. 4. Israel Ayuma (Mavlon now at NK Istra): This central midfield pearl is a delight. Tall, strong, technical. He has the talent to become better if he keeps at it. TheSuperNerd: 3 Likes 2 Shares |

Sadly the team won't have Daniel Daga because his passport is currently with the Norwegian embassy in readiness for his work permit to be granted for his pro life to begin in Europe once he clocks 18 in January 2025. He joins Molde officially January 2025. 3 Likes |

Amedino99: You’re making it sound like they were kidnapped. Anyways my point is, this is football mischief on steroids but it shouldn’t be escalated to become a sort of diplomatic row. Summoning the consulate and involving foreign affairs, isn’t good for optics, if that is something African countries even care about btw. Case closed. |

JohnBullMySon: People were not even allowed to step out of the airport to go look for their transport and accommodation you're asking if they were kidnapped. na wa for you o, if the foreign affairs or consulate were not involved, they would never be allowed to leave that airport, you're here talking about optics. Let me just agree you're entertaining us to relieve stress from all the fiasco 4 Likes 1 Share |
