This was exactly my thought. $50 is in fact very, very, very reasonable compared to what Nigerian firms offer here. I served in a factory in Kano during my NYSC and till date, those guys pay 40k per month to people who are frequently getting exposed to dangerous chemicals. Private schools are the worst

Did you bother to check the skill he's looking to hire for $50 a month?

We have said it here before; drone technology changed the face of modern warfare.

No matter how big and powerful you are, some drones will always sneak their way into their target. The Ukraine-Russian war is the only war in modern history where drone technology has been used massively by both parties in the conflict. And from what will have seen so far, it's safe to say that while advanced missiles like the ones on hypersonic glide vehicles remain the most potent and brutal standoff strike weapon on the battlefield, drones are the most problematic and frustrating to handle because they (majority of attack drones) flies very low, making them difficult to detect and counter, and they usually come in a swarm, which guarantees that one or two would scale through no matter how.

The last point is even more frustrating for the receiving enemy: the majority of them are cheap in so much that even when the defending enemy is able to bring them down, it would be doing so at a very high cost, which, in most cases, is fifty to one hundred times higher compared to the cost of each single drone.

So, it is more painful if an enemy scores a major damage from a drone than when the damage was from a bomb.

It is the Lord's doings that Israel isn't sharing borders with countries like Iran; that place for don burn finish by the likes of Mr. shaheed and brother Lancet.

Even till date, those damn piece of metals are still giving Zelensky sleepless nights despite the highly layered Ukrainian defense setup.

Plus the Ukros have used water based drones to score some great hits against the Russians.

Drones respect nothing and nobody.

Succinctly written. I no miss your writeup at all. You and LordAdam16.

Wait, is this supposed bible verse from god.?
Because it look like something wey one person just dey for corner write

It from the Bible and nothing like one corner write.

Example Isaiah 61:1
God speaks many things to his servant then put his future acts in the stories he speaks to them that how God has been doing from Genesis

That why Jesus read one part in the Bible and told those living then this part has been full filled in their eyes as he has come

Those who read that part won't ever believe God was talking about Jesus... In Isaiah 61:1

Luke 4:17-21
describes Jesus reading a prophecy from Isaiah in Nazareth where he was raised.

The prophecy, says
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me"
You can find it on

(Luke 4:18),

Jesus told us he appeared in the book of the prophet Isaiah.. Isaiah 61:1. Which shows he was the one God was talking about in that part

By saying
He Jesus have fulfilled the prophecy.
God spoke about in the past

And you think say Russians go dey sleep with 2 eyes closed??

Russia is Europe and Europe is Russia.

Remove Russia from Europe and you have nothing left.

I am beginning to understand why the Europeans had to sail to the Americas in search of land.

They needed land which they couldn't get from the Russians, next option was to go commit genocide in the Americas. (North America precisely)

I know just how advanced the skill is, but my point is that it isn't too bad compared what highly educated Nigerians are paid in this country. Do you know that some lawyers receive 15k per month in many chambers in this country? The examples are countless bro. Some have the skills but no one is willing to give them a chance because they have no experience, and this is something the job can help them with.

It's low, it's probably exploitative, but it's not that bad if you look at the peanuts graduates and skilled people receive in this country.

Vis a vis what he's seeking na.

Cyber security....

Do you know what it takes to be a cyber security professional? (One of the highest paid IT jobs on earth) It's not some road side profession bro.

Only school certs would accept ₦30k as salary

No qualified teacher would accept ₦30k as salary.

Let's called a spade a spade.

Like I said, the pay is low, no doubt. But when you have converted that amount to Naira, is still better than what some businesses pay here in Nigeria.

You used the word 'Qualified' teacher. That's the difference.

But, should an OND, HND, or BSc degree holder be subjected to 30,000 Naira just because they're not qualified with degrees in Education?

In Delta state where I live, many private school teachers are graduate they're paid in that price range.

Notwithstanding, that starting price of $50 is low, especially in this period of inflation.

Yet, somehow, British people are the ones complaining of high food prices, high cost of living, and homelessness. Meanwhile, Russians are not complaining.

There is a big difference between GDP based on productivity and GDP based on speculation and currency manipulation.

Do you that last month, Russian nuclear attack submarines moved into striking positions close to UK waters after the UK was on the verge of giving Ukraine the weapons (some of which were to be tipped with uranium deposits) and the permission to strike deep into Russia soil?

The plan was to destroy the weapon producing factories (including the one producing storm shadows) in the UK and several military targets, after which the Russians would immediately carry out and release the video of a nuclear strike test on a remote island to demonstrate its readiness and immediate tendency to nuke anyone that dares a counter strike of any kind. A video of the nuke strike test would then be released immediately after the strike on targets in Britain.

Guess what?

Upon discovering the Russian subs and the leaked Intel of the whole arrangement (which the Russians made sure it's available via the open line channel with Pentagon), the mouth yapping British prime minister and his chest-beating military heads quickly withdrew their plans and their statements. grin

Ediots. grin

cheesy cheesy cheesy
Thanks for this! UK and the entire West are known to backtrack if they come face-to-face with an equally formidable foe. They already know that Russia and to a great extent, Iran are no longer bluffing and ready to counter any aggression with a equal or stronger aggression. The Russia of 2024 will not only destroy those British facilities, but they will also disable their capacity to respond in a significant way. I'm sure the US will directly steer clear.

Someone—I think it was Lordadam16, explained few weeks ago that when the mad men of Israel became aware of the consequences of responding to Iran, they quickly back down. America read the riot act to them I guess.

Fueling any war is not what Germany needs right now. Their economy is seriously heading down south in a scary way, and destruction of their manufacturing capacity is not what they need right now. This is because not only will Russia destroy those facilities, but they'll cripple the critical aspects of their supply chain to ensure that Berlin will not be providing any weapons aid to Ukraine for the entirety of the SMO and many years after.

These are the deterrence that they need right now. It'd have been more satisfying if those factories we're up in flames. At least they'll have more pressing issues to worry about than burning the Middle East to the ground.

It seems you have no idea what law firms pay Nigerian lawyers or the kind of exploitation that is going on in almost every sector in this country . Check these threads out:

https://www.nairaland.com/2534179/did-make-mistake-studying-law

https://www.nairaland.com/5898509/firm-seeks-recruit-lawyer-25k

Of course this doesn't mean some lawyers don't make millions. And listen to yourself. You said 'experts.' If experts are making just 350k (I said 'just' because I know how lucrative it is), imagine what people with basic skills would be earning.

I am not a cyber security expert but I don't need anyone to tell me what it takes to get into the field, but we are talking about a country where graduates are doing all kinds of manual jobs just to put food on the table. A country where bankers are quitting their jobs to go and wipe windows in Europe. And don't forget that 700 Msc holders applied for a driving job at Dangote Cement in 2012.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.vanguardngr.com/2012/11/6-ph-d-704-masters-holders-among-applicants-for-drivers-job-in-dangote/amp/

Now just imagine how things would be now with all the hardship in the country.

Anyway, the most important thing is that neither my opinion nor yours matter. At the end of the day, it's up to those who possess the skills to decide whether or not they are okay with the amount. It's only when your belly is full that you begin to think of mediocrity.
