Finidi George seems to be doing so well in the NPFL with an unbeaten run in 7 games managing 5 wins and 2 draws.

Meanwhile Amunike has just 1 win in 7 matches so far. Even manage to draw 10 man ikorodu United at home during the week

I want to ask please with AE plans of taking the two best coaches in the NPFL as assistants should finidi win the league will he agree to go back to the super eagles as assistant?

How far with amokachi performance with Lobi stars so far?

WAFU B U20 AFCON QUALIFYING TOURNAMENT kicked off today.

The Flying Eagles begin their campaign tomorrow.

In Group A today, Host, Togo U20 played 2-2 vs Niger Republic U20.

In the other game, Ghana U20 currently trails 1-2 to Benin U20.

I am more optimistic for this team than Ladan Bosso team

Hopefully they succeed. Hope the coach integrates the beyond limits and sporting guys that participated in European competitions recently?

Is the bolded a rule or an assumption?

If a rule, we will wait to find out, otherwise is it left for him to pick those he can work with to deliver the desired results.

Hmmm na true.

I remember Taiye Taiwo play one shot one day, oboy. Free kick. Afcon, I think against Ghana.

Taiye Taiwo(Marseille) chidi odiah(cska moskwa) , obodo(bundle of skills Udinese) , Ayila(D,Kiev) Nsofor(Verona) Makinwa(Lazio I think)
Hmm, nostalgic.

Wont rate Amunike atleast not yet, Amokachi though not giving sexy penetrative performance, he is not doing badly.
As for Finidi coming back as eagle assistant - You dont mend what is not broken. Ijaball and his friend are one of the best heads in the league and they have shown it consistently

It's best to look at each case with the specific circumstance. Taiwo was past his prime when he moved to Milan. Tomori has been good so far in same club. Prime Taribo played for both Milan clubs.

Truth is that these top European sides (Milan, Madrid, Juve, etc) have extremely high standards even for elite players and our guys rarely move to these teams. We are still to get a proper Naija international play for Madrid.

NPFL is tough, you may win the league this season and fight relegation the following season. AE that we are all applauding today as Super Eagles coach last job in NPFL with Sunshine Stars was a disaster

3 of the boys on the team were at the Gothia Cup with Sporting Lagos.

Then one of the lads from Beyond Limits is also there.

Nigeria need to recover the pride of hosting caf competitions b2b.

These North Africans are beginning to feel like demigods on this CAF table. They feel they're doing Caf a favor and so they fit hold caf for neck cos without them, caf go be like LGA for Zamfara.

Imagine just Angola and South African being the only ones that have facilities down south to host a caf top grade.

West Africa dey try, but how many can do it b2b like Morocco currently? That's where Nigeria ought to use this and get ambitious once again. Or are our glory days all tied to Issa Hayatou tenure? undecided

Truely he worked his ass off in that tournament. Emenike too. I remember he scored a direct freekick...

Something just came to my mind now, just for comparison sake. Who will win a match between 2013 afcon finalist vs 2024 finalist. My money is on ideye set. Those guys strong die.

See a "Finished" Ahmed Musa balling against Enugu Rangers, to show the poor quality of players in our home league.
Other ex-internationals in that Pillars team were:
Rabiu Ali
Shehu Abdulahi
Sanni Keita

This is really good for our league. If other Ex-internationals can emulate these our Northern brothers, the league will be more interesting to watch and stadiums would be packed because fans would want to see these ex-internationals on their local pitches.

When this Kano Pillars team visits my City, I will definitely go out to watch them play.

I remember very well sir.
It was a beautiful game.
Most of them were just gidigbo, only few were technical. Echeijile, mikel, Victor moses.

while both sides were good defensively with 4 goals conceded each, keshi's team scored 13 goals compared to jpes's team of 8 goals but you wont be wrong to pick any team.

But the 2024 set not more technical than 2013 either.

I don't think any of 2013 set is technically better than Mikel,Ideye and Victor Moses .

If I'm to choose who wins,is 2013 set

I think we scored 11 goals at the 2013. Emenike =4. Moses=2. Mba=2.Ideye=1. Musa=1. Echiejile=1.

Still my best Afcon experience till date. Great games, beautiful stadiums and the fact we won it on Southie soil made it sweeter.

I'm still waiting to meet any of Ghana or South Africa in an Afcon final. It will be a blockbuster... That is only if they can make it there.

Also great coach. Rip Big Boss. I never saw him play, but I can see how mafian he was just by looking at him on the touchline.

Just watched the Musa show!!! Alhaji was too much with Rangers, baba even made an accurate cross with his left foot. Meanwhile those Rangers boy can shoot o, 2 goals from shots outside the 18, also two attempts smacking the upright!!! What a game!!!!!

Meanwhile is Keita really on the team? Didn't see him at all.

Also how old exactly is Rabiu Alli? That man's longevity needs to be studied!!!
