Helicopter Crash Claims Six NNPC Staff Members, SECURITYNEWSNG.COM reports.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) has confirmed the identities of six employees who tragically lost their lives in a helicopter crash on Thursday. The deceased staff members are:

Tamunoemi Suku
Alu Lawrence
Etim Emmanuel
Kenneth Chikwem
Frank Oriamre
Borris Ndorbo

The pilot, Captain Yakubu Dukas, was also among the victims, while one additional passenger remains yet to be identified.

 Crash Details

The helicopter, operated by East Winds Aviation, was en route to the FPSO-NUIMS ANTAN facility when it crashed into the Atlantic Ocean. Eight persons were onboard, with three lifeless bodies retrieved from the ocean on Thursday and two others recovered on Friday, bringing the total recovered bodies to five.

 Ongoing Search Operations

The Nigerian Air Management Agency (NAMA) has enlisted neighbouring countries, including Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea, in the search for the missing helicopter and passengers. NAMA's Managing Director, Umar Farouq, assured that concerted efforts are being made to locate the missing aircraft and passengers.

"Through concerted efforts, we are on top of the matter, with other agencies the search operation is on and Insha Allah we shall be successful," Farouq stated.

 Regional Assistance

Farouq confirmed that all Flight Information Regions have been called upon for assistance in the search operation.

"my uncle is wicked, he refuses to help me with NNPC oil company work" here's it..at times when God is saving us, it will seem as if village people don't want ur success. Some disappointment is indeed a blessing in disguise.

RIP to the deceased and may God grant their families the fortitude to bear this great and irreplaceable loss.

All planes in the world without parachute should be banned because I don't see any meaningful reason why human being will send something to the sky 12,000 ft above the earth's surface without any backup..

Astronauts that travel to space while coming back have parachute in their shuttle to ensure they land safely but airplane and helicopters will go 15,000 ft, 30,000 ft with over 190 persons on board yet no parachute and when there is a crash, you hear of massive deaths without survival..

But is it not better that you got a good paying job and worked for like 15 years, made like 500m to 2billion, enjoyed life, established investments for your kids, helped your suffering parents that trained you in school, assisted your siblings and friends and died than to live for 70 years poor, wretched, suffering from financial lack, useless to your family, friends and community for 70 years; what do you think? shocked

May their soul Rest In Peace , though I expected them to float when the chopper hit the water except they were not wearing life jackets, with that the search would have been easier , I pray may God console their loved ones
