Do you have an account with them? Either United Capital Asset Management or United Capital Securities

Their interest rates then was between 16% and 18%

Why buy 1 stock on 2 different accounts though? I noticed most people do it.
I always make sure I don't buy same stock on 2 different accounts

It all depends on ones investment strategy. One account could be for investing and holding long term the other strictly for trading same stock.

What is the cost of one palm oil seedling? Let me assume ₦2,000 per seedling - that would amount to 48,100 palm trees. Is this something real, or is it just another 'audio' as usual, Oga Streetinvestor and Oga Emmanuelewumi? undecided

N96 million is not much.

Be careful when insiders become monkey hunters, with the purported growth potential of the business they ought to be buyers

Do you know the number of United Capital staff who got loan from UCap consumer finance to buy the company's stock at N12 and below. I know because I have been getting loan from them for the past 3 years

I think MBC securities coming on board to take 14% stake is a good flag. Plus the one director who increased his stake. Plus the one substantial share holder who increased stake. Some investments like UCAP in the period you referenced are at stage of potential ShortTerm appreciation (due to clear huge mis-match between market price and intrinsic value)

I see Ellah is a long-term play with huge uncertainties.

Thank you for the beautiful reply, they believe Oando appreciated with fundamentals 😂, by the time Japaul announced the acquisition of 50 percent equity stake in H&H Mines and “a 100% acquisition of Covenant Gems & Gold Minerals Limited in Eti-oni, Atakumosa Local Government, Osun State, they will eat back their words. A company that got an investment of 20B naira equity in a private placement even at premium higher than listed price should not be written off. I repeat Japaul and ELLAHLAKES movement will be shocking.

People buying businesses for billions of naira can make business and investment decisions. It depends on how they made the money, their experience in the business, how the promoter was able to cajole them.

Ask the guy who bought Forte Oil from Femi Otedola or Tiger Foods that bought Dangote Flour from Dangote.

They all bought at huge premium and ready to sell below their purchase prices

MBC was a creditor to ELLAHLAKES, they converted debt to equity. To me this is a sign of prospect, for a creditor who is vast in the capital market to accept debt to equity conversion, there must be an untapped gold in such company.

At times the creditor might not have any other option to getting his money back other than accepting to cover the loan to equity and then have a seat on the board

Oga, I'm asking again - aren't 48,000 trees a good start? It seems Ellah Lakes has more potential than I initially thought. Maybe you're expecting the seedlings to start bearing fruit immediately? grin

You have a point like you said "In some cases", I'm sure MBC can never give out such loan without collateral, and if they don't believe in the company's prospect they won't choose the conversion option, they would have choose the alternate option and take their loss.

Are you sure you will get 48,000 seedlings of an economic crop that will earn forex for N96 million.
Considering the fact that the plant will continue to generate income for more than 20 years
