We will refer to Jesus as ‘Eesa throughout this article.

I will like to inform you that among what a Muslim must ''believe in'' is to believe in the Prophets as stated in the authentic Islamic texts. This Prophets includes Ibrahim (Abraham), Musa (Moses), Isma'eel (Ishmael), Ishaq (Isaac), Yaqoob (Jacob), Ayyob (Job), Yoonus (Jonah), Haroon (Aaron), Sulaiman (Solomon), Dawud (David), Idrees (Enoch), Dhul Kifl (Isaiah), Lut (Lot), Zakariyya (Zachariah), Ilyaas (Elijah), Al-Yasa (Elisha), Yahya (John), 'Eesa (Jesus) and Muhammad (Peace be upon them all). And the knowledge of their numbers belongs to Allah only! We believe all of them were sent by Allah to certain set of people. Some were given Inspired Books like Torah (Musa), Zabur (Dawud) Injeel ('Eesa), Qur'an (Muhammad), etc.

The beliefs of a Muslim towards ‘Eesa ibn Maryam (Jesus the son of Mary – peace be upon him).

1. Muslims do believe in ‘Eesa as a Prophet, a messenger and a noble slave of Allah sent to the children of Israel to call them to believe in Allah alone and to worship Him alone.

2. ‘Eesa was never a god or the son of God as the Christians claim.

3. We believe that Allaah supported him with miracles that proved he was speaking the truth. Many Prophets before him did miracles. The miracles includes ‘Eesa speaking while he was still in the cradle, breathing in to a clay bird making it turn to a live bird, healing the blind & lepers, quickening the dead, etc. All this happens solely with the permission of Allah.

4. We believe ‘Eesa has no father and his mother Maryam was a virgin. This is similar to Adam who has no father or Mother and Hawa (Eve) who has no mother but was created from Adam (peace be upon them both).

5. We believe that he permitted to the Jews some of the things that had been forbidden to them.

6. We believe that he did not die and his enemies the Jews did not kill him, rather Allaah saved him from them and raised him up to heaven alive.

7. We believe that he told his followers of the coming of our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).

8. We believe that he will come back down at the end of time, and will disprove the claim of his enemies the Jews that they killed him, and will disprove the claim of the Christians that he is God or the son of God, and he will not accept anything from them but Islam.

9. Then he will die and the Muslims will offer the funeral prayer for him and bury him.

These are the beliefs of a Muslim towards ‘Eesa ibn Maryam (peace be upon him) as founded in the Books of Islam.

We ask Allaah to make us steadfast in faith and to cause us to die as believers.
May the Peace and blessings of Allaah be upon all the Prophets and all those who follow their Sunnah till the day of recompense!

So you people are waiting for Jesus' second coming while he's waiting for you to come meet him in heaven.
Wonderful!
Re: Does Your Church Preach On The Coming Of Christ? by JoeEeL(m): 9:12am On Nov 10
stonemasonn:
The Second Coming of Jesus was anticipated by early Christians as an event that would occur soon after His death, bringing about the fulfillment of God's kingdom. However, since it did not happen within the expected timeframe of 2,000 years, Christians are now encouraged to focus on living righteous, loving lives in the meantime. The emphasis is on following Jesus' teachings—loving one another, living in faith, and striving to live morally and justly—until the eventual return, whenever that may be.

The bible emphasized a lot on the imminence of his coming. This is not something u can effectively whoosh away like we are zombies. The imminence of his coming was so profound that it gave rise to a belief called preterism.

Y'all nigerian xtians (who dont know their own history or list their generation to just 2 centuries) must have extremely rigorous explanations to why ur saviour hasnt come for so long, otherwise it calls ur book and its whole belief structure into serious question.

Abi, Islam is a cult group in which it is highly regulated & suppressed others to share their own opinions, the opinions which may be contrary to what adherents believed?

Re: Does Your Church Preach On The Coming Of Christ? by geezville86: 9:29am On Nov 10
Sigh….bro, relax. Time will surely tell.
From the very first book of the scriptures, certain declarations were never literal.

A few examples:

“And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.””
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/114/gen.2.16-17.NKJV

Question: Did Adam and Eve die after eating the forbidden fruit? If no, why? Likely because folks mistook that declaration literally.

Another one:

“For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭9‬:‭6‬-‭7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
https://bible.com/bible/114/isa.9.6-7.NKJV

Many Jews till this day are still waiting for the Messiah. Why? Because they have taken the scriptures literally and believe that The Christ will arrive as a King, in glory and Majesty after the order of David, or in some overpowering might like Moses. Again, the misstep was likely taking the ancient scriptures literally.

I’d stop here. Make of it as you will.
Quick Caveat here: These are my personal thoughts o! This Christian race is a very personal one. Go read the scriptures and pray to God for a deeper understanding of His word.

Tetrahedron:

Exactly what I just said!
You see what preachers are teaching this person?
that it’s not a literal event!!!!

My brother it is a very Literal and Specific Event ooo.
Pls don’t be deceived

grin grin Many churches are more interested in preaching prosperity messages than the Second Coming of Christ.
They are glossing and polishing tasty and tantalising messages of prosperity,to induce religious fools in dropping their money for the maintenance of the pastor's expensive suit wardrobe, fleet of flashy cars, fleet of private jets and expensive schools meant only for the wealthy.
Most of these useless Pentecostal churches are so driven by the spirit of Mammon that they love to display their material possessions to the world to receive its approval and recognition.
That's why you will never hear or see records about the pastors with the most spiritual impact on people.
Rather online, you see list of the RICHEST PASTORS, almost everywhere on the media platforms.
Nobody is concerned about the harvest of souls for the Kingdom of God.
On the Day of Rapture, these big Pentecostal churches would be in service with 3000 members present and only 200 would be caught up with the Lord out of the entire congregations.
