Any pastor that tells you to increase your tithe to 35% is fraudulent. What is in the bible is 10%.

That is why you should read your bible and know God personally. Giving of tithe works so much, am a witness

We remember someone who said as a kid he got home from school and on finding nobody at home

he was crying and begging Jesus for another chance because he thought his family had been Raptured

without him

He was still on the floor crying when his mother walked in the house

Even little kids understood the message well

We like stories with happy endings so all the things the people suffer in the story are worth it because of the happy ending. See the Cinderella story, she had it good then something happened and made everything bad. She gets the help of a good spirit and meets her savior, who thereafter whisks her away to live in a palace. Is that not the Christian story in a nutshell?

Pentecostalism only preaches prosperity amd motivational talks .
Do their pastors even know the bible ?
You can only hear about sermons like that in Deeper life and Apostolic faith churches.

They dont need to tell me, i believe in the literal coming of the lord God or Jesus back to this world. It will be an ordinary day, no one will suspect, but i think the spirit of God can tell us ahead of time, if he decides to do so.

It is also the great day of the lord, after the lord takes us up, then it the time of tribulation, Jesus will be the Judge.

The leaders of earth run to hide from the wrath of the Lamb, God will pour out his wrath because they rejected him.

God did everything, paid the prize for sin, he just want people to choose his way. saved by grace through faith in his only Son.

I think we should be guided by the scripture and not by emotions.

The early Christians were also engrossed with the 2nd coming of Jesus that they abandoned everything else for the apocalyptic coming. They didn't even bother to write down the gospel of the Lord because they felt it was needless since he was coming back soon.
They refused to join other Jews in their wars against Roman occupation because they regarded it as a worldly affair. To them, Jesus was coming back to reign on earth over both Jews and Romans.

Even Paul had to write to them in Thessaloniki and reprimanded them for this erroneous belief. He admonished them to engage actively within their community because no one knows when Christ is coming back.

The need to write the gospels only came up when the early Christians started dying without the coming of the Lord. That's why the gospels have late dates.

Jesus made it clear the kingdom of God is here and eternity is now. Believers are to live like the 2nd coming of the Lord is the next minute.
As believers it's not our business to anticipate the hour but we should live our life as if the hour is now.

In that case, emphasis should be on righteous living, fulfilling purpose, being active in the Lord's vineyard, winning souls and spreading the gospel.

Above is what the kingdom of God is all about.

this is what my pastor has being teaching for close to two (2) month. he has being teaching us things about eschatology even yet we aren't done on it. we learnt about the seven (7) churches talked about in the book of Revelation (for the first time in my life I understood that part of the Bible.) yet we aren't done with this lesson, he went as far as using audio-visual teaching revealing some secret not known to many of us.
