MOOJ: I need assistance with an issue I have been experiencing while trying to book my visa appointment. After making an online payment through First Bank, I encountered the following issues:
When I input my bank deposit details, the system displays the message: "Given payment receipt does not exist." When I use my Amentum reference number, it redirects me to the preapproval request section. However, after entering all required details, I get the error message: "Query did not return a unique result: 2. Nested exception is 'javax.persistence.NonUniqueResultException: query did not return a unique result: 2.'" I have been facing these issues for two weeks now and urgently need to book/schedule an appointment for my visa interview. Could you please advise on how to resolve this?
Thank you for your time and assistance. This is my current situation right now! This wasn't the case during my first appointment in September this year. |

The status on the portal says refused, not even admin processing 🥹. And passport was sent back, in the passport a 221g letter requested to schedule another interview with no additional documents requested, but that was before the whole migration to the new portal.
Now migration has not been completed ( have not received any email) , missed the fall sememster, and spring is around the corner again. 🥺
I don't think that rejection means much. I believe I have heard of one person with a rejection on that portal who later got it. If they say you have an interview and it is On PAPER, then they owe you an interview. You want to start another application without knowing what happened to the previous one, how are you sure you won't fall in the same pit again? Go to that embassy, find out what they are up to. Do not rush to start another application. |

I HOPE THIS HELP U Basically , the OP could have played to the emotional side of the VO? The scripted reply you gave here is too scripted to be remembered or even perfectly explained by this individual during such interview as there are lot of anxieties flying around. Likewise, these interviews are just what it is. This person did nothing wrong, he/she was just denied just like most others will be denied for having answered these questions the best way they can. It’s not about these individuals, it’s just that they won’t be given visa this time. They can always try again , say the same thing, and be given a visa. 5 Likes |

Hello I am a new member of this forum. I recently graduated from UNN with a GPA in 3.4 in Pure and Industrial Chemistry and I am interested in applying for my PhD in Chemistry for Fall 2025. I am preparing to take the GRE test and also searching for some schools online but I am open to receiving any recommendations for schools that offer funding for PhD in Chemistry for Fall 2025. Thank you. |

Hi everyone, my interview is coming up next week, and I just noticed we are to bring a passport that is valid for at least six months beyond our intended period of stay—but my passport expires in December next year.
Am I going to run into any trouble? |

I'd really appreciate any help on how to proceed in the future. The F2 allows you to stay with your husband for the duration of his visa. The B1/B2 is for short-term visits, which is what you indicated you want. Frankly, the VO was not inclined to give you a visa. Newly married, no kids... basically no ties. Best bet is to wait a few months and reapply. Next time, i'd simply state the F2 is like a B1/B2 in your view. It allows you to visit your husband as often as you are financially able while avoiding the need for repeat visa applications until your husband is done with his studies. |
