Needed the water more than the fish.

I am still looking for where to get the moderate sized cat fish one can use in cooking soup. The stores I know that sells cat fish only sells the big ones.

Buy the big one and cut to your desired size.
You want to make soup with this?
Those tiny tiny bones. Hmm.

Or buy eel. It's 99% like catfish but less bone. Good size

Thanks for the recs though.
Been to Kayser for lunch a couple of times. Anything on the menu you recommend?
Will definitely try Jamski for lunch one day. But Jamaican food in Nigeria, almost feel like I'm cheating. smiley

Looking at the menus for their offerings and shocked.
These prices though.
I'm not there or I would have cooked personally for you at my Jamaican restaurant😉

Maybe you SHOULD go there and give me feedback on what the staff is doing in my absence 🤔

Very very sweet.
I have feasted on it once. Once shared a story about my journey or rather our journey with crocodile meat.

Uou know during festive period, when you want to travel with family. We don pack finish, clean and lock door waiting for bros to come carry us. Ge suddenly had one important errand he couldn't miss. Wifey with new baby, me, her sis and niece.
We waited for bros, we no eat breakfast, wifey remembered hubby bought roasted crocodile and it's resting in the boot. Very big one.
Na so we carry am up, tasted small and from there design the thing. The more you eat, the sweeter the taste. We ate our fill and clean mouth. Put the remaining inside boot. Oga come we pack and headed home for Xmas.
From pH to anambra, in umuahia close to okigwe, na so everybody stomach begin rumble. To cut the story short, we spent that night in the hospital.
The baby was not affected. That was our fear . Have never seen bros so angry in my life. Serious food poisoning.
We just dey stop and run into bush until we confessed our sin cheesy

Whether it was undercooked,I don't know.
That Xmas was ruined cos of crocodile meat

Do you like ukwa?
I bought good dry ukwa but I don't know if I can freeze.

I had one 2yrs ago and before I know it, weevil was everywhere. I had to throw away( really big)
Don't want to make the same mistake.

If the Ukwa is very dry, you can freeze. That's how we store ours.

I absolutely love it.

I’m sure you can freeze it. And just rehydrate when you are ready to cook it.

It's actually quite cheap.
In Nigeria here, it'll be costlier.

Even ordinary chicken is heading towards that price.

I thought I would be okay not eating traditional thanksgiving food this year. Turns out I was lying to myself. Been craving it since thanksgiving so I had to make it.

Roast Turkey, Mac and cheese, candied yams, deviled eggs, green bean casserole, collard greens, Dutch apple pie and some of the cranberry sauce I made last week.
