Zico5: Shatap. That's the purpose of deregulation. If importing is cheaper, dangote would either sell cheaper or export outside. |
Re: Imported Petrol Landing Cost Drops To N900/litre by SmartyPants(m): 1:59pm On Dec 13, 2024 |
denko: Dangote's petrol is 970. Meanwhile landing cost of 900 does not mean you will buy it at 900. You will still buy above 1000 because there additional costs and profit margin to be added. |

chicfarmer: That is one of the reasons DANGOTE does not want to release his price to the public. He is afraid of Air Peace Scenario where international airlines reduce their prices. PMS have different variants and qualities. I know foreign refineries are ready to compete with our local refineries. One thing that is being hidden from Nigerians is the ability of DANGOTE Refinery to meet local demand. If DANGOTE cannot meet local demand, it is impossible for regulator to ban importation. DANGOTE PMS quality will be higher than the imported pms at lower price but what matters to Oil marketers and Nigerians is the availability of PMS. Competition will continue to regulate PMS price and that is the beauty of deregulation. Tinubu has tried against all odds. |
