Biden is an assholl. He is auctioning off border materials so that Trump has to start from zero

Videos obtained exclusively by The Daily Wire from a U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agent show unused sections of the wall being hauled away on the back of flatbed trucks from a section of the border just south of Tucson, a hotspot for illegal crossings during the Biden administration. The agent estimates that up to half a mile per day of unused border wall is being moved.

“They are taking it from three stations: Nogales, Tucson, and Three Points,” the border patrol agent, who was granted anonymity to speak freely, told The Daily Wire. “The goal is to move all of it off the border before Christmas.”

Update.
Texas has offered to buy off all the material.

What a pathetic loser. He is causing trouble all over Ukraine and Syria.
Chris Wray FBI Director resigned after entrenching his bureaucrats and promoting them.

Democrats are just horrible people

He has been playing the game of sabotage lately. Also releasing more cash to Iran.

this is what you said

if you want to claim that federal run education is bad - what do you think happens at the state level?

in spite of all the issues with federal universities - they have churned out multiple generations of capable graduates several of whom your self included are now doing well in nigeria and the abroad.

but here you are giving a blanket condemnation of federal funded education and your solution is to scrap federal education completely for private run universities? would YOU have gotten tertiary education if someone had taken this measure in your time?

do you even have any idea how much most private universities fees cost?

or maybe you are going for world where only the children of the rich have opportunities and everyone else is a serf

Federal Universities in Nigeria churn out massively ignorant and unenlightened graduates that simply crammed and regurgitated textbooks or cheated their way through. Most of them in the highly desirable courses only got admitted by offering sex or money as bribes or they had nepotistic or political connections. It's not just talk, there's video evidence AND more importantly, everyone knows it from experience and observation.

That Nigeria is the Poverty Capital of the World is no surprise given the quality of Federal University education in that country.

Good Luck to Nigeria.

That’s the end goal.

These ones think since they’ve escaped lower class status, then it’s okay if others don’t get the same opportunity to escape.

There are so many dirt poor counties in America that any hope of education for those kids will have to be through federal funding. Otherwise forget it.

Ironically they acknowledge that America is great. And that grass to grace stories abound. These Federal programs are some of the things that make it possible.

Budaatum. Have I not sang the song about politicization of the COVID. I've also submitted a masters class hypothesis here there was more to it than meets the eyes. Uttah Pradesh just one of them and Emergency User Authorization.
Kash Patel has some new hot allegation which as FBI director will investigate.

Speaking with Glenn Beck, Patel dropped a significant allegation about the CIA, COVID, and Dr. Anthony Fauci: then-CIA Director Gina Haspel paid six case officers to lie about the origins of COVID’s origins to prop up the narrative peddled by Dr. Anthony Fauci and the media establishment:

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/mattvespa/2024/12/13/trumps-fbi-director-nominee-dropped-a-major-allegation-about-the-cia-covid-and-dr-fauci-n2648985#google_vignette

In article above Trump wanted to appoint Kash Patel as Deputy CIA director to Gima Haspel , who threatened to resign. ( Gina Haspel was UK CIA station Chief which had deep involvement in the Russia Collusion hoax at the time in association with the "Five Eyes" , the IC communities of five nations - UK, Canada, Australia ,US and New Zealand that share info among them)

Off topic. FBI Chris Wray was recommended by former gov trump hater Chris Christie. Chris was his personal attorney during a scandal bridgegate . Wrays firm represented Russia Rosfnet and Gazprom the largest oil companies in Russia.
Who else works at the law firm Cris Wray was in.
Rod Rosenstein former Deputy AG who appointed and oversaw Mueller inquisition.
Another one . Sally Yates former DOJ deputy Assistant AG who went to the WH to accuse Flynn of talking to Russians after elections.

Sally Yates was accompanied by Mary McCord ( that name pops up everywhere Trump is in legal problems) and they had the transcript of a call between Flynn and Russian Ambassador..More to that..Obama had expelled over 30 Russian diplomats over the fake collusion, he knew very well that Flynn as incoming Nat Sec Advisor would definitely talk to Kislyak the Russian Ambassador. FBI got transcript of the call. FBI denies it spied on Trump campaign in 2016.

Federally funded Affordable Healthcare? No leave it to the employer

No need to make it personal. The VIDEO EVIDENCE and general experience of Nigerians validate the opinion that the generality of Federal University graduates in Nigeria are IGNORANT and UNENLIGHTENED.

Ask even TOP LAWYERS in Nigeria and they will argue that individuals can own land in Nigeria, I'm talking TOP LAWYERS. Try it with any Federal Law graduate and confirm for yourself. Even here on Nairaland they insist on the LIE than individuals can own land in Nigeria.

When I was working in Nigeria I ran into at least TWO Federal University graduates that didn't know what VAT is, simply didn't know and one of them is a business graduate from University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Even Peter Obi doesn't know the meaning of free markets, this one is confirmed because I asked him in person. I later contacted a friend who talks to him to get clarification for me. After he reported back, I realized he has no idea. Really.

"Working at Shell and PWC and MTN" is just that, working....the same way they worked to earn their degrees in University.

General proof of competence for Nigerian university graduates and Nigerian elites would be the kind of society they've been able to build.

What is the result of Nigerian University EDUCATION? They've made Nigeria the Poverty Capital of the World.

Good Luck to Nigerians.

Nowadays the tide has turned and the private schools are better. If you have money and are to send your kids to school in Nigeria today, probably a private school will be preferred over a FGC or a Federal University

OIG FBI report of January 6 fedsurrection. Evidence that FBI had 26 confidential Human Sources within the crowd but not fbi payroll employees. 4 entered capitol and 13 others entered **restricted** area.
Media running with no fbi agents.
Pundits think FBI and other LEOs had hundreds of them not 26.
When a noose was found in a racecourse,FBI sent 13 agents. Mueller had 50 agents. On Jan 6 hundreds of thousands of domestic terrorists descended on the Capitol but they only had 26 agents. Fool me once.

https://oig.justice.gov/sites/default/files/reports/25-011_0.pdf

** Restricted** because Kamala Harris was within. In actual fact she had left and she passed within 50 feet of the pipe bomb placed at the offices of the DNC. SS armed with canines had swept the area in the morning and not detected the bomb placed at night The pipe bomber has never been identified despite all CCTV and Phone data available.

Well we have to agree on some basics first.

1) the greed for profit drives innovation & discovery.

2) when people put their money at risk, they expect a profit above inflation AND greater than they would get from a simple interest account or lending it to government, as in Treasury Bills. Without this reward for risk, there would be very little investment.

If you agree to the above, you can continue reading. If you don't agree, please don't bother reading on, the discussion ends here and that's very OK, we all can't agree.

Now let's say a UK drug company like Astra Zeneca has $100million to invest. They can

a) Invest it RISK FREE in treasury bills and make 2.5%, guaranteed.

b) invest in research and discover and bring a new drug to market.

Let's say they discover new drug Kakabra which is a cure for cancer. They want to make a profit above inflation + 2.5% treasury rate. As humans, they also want to maximize profit.

So they set the price of Kakabra @ $50,000 per treatment course. This is where the subsidy begins.

In the modern world today, all these European and even other countries have guaranteed healthcare for all.

Left to a free market, these systems will naturally generate UNLIMITED EXPENDITURE. So as with all government subsidized systems, they MUST have price controls.

So the UK government will REGULATE the price of Kakabra and say they will pay only $2000 per dose.

What does Aztra Zeneca do? They agree. Why? Because the UK government has monopoly power over the healthcare market and thus they have no choice. More importantly and direct to our discussion, because they and EVERY OTHER DRUG COMPANY have a final destination for recouping cost of investment and getting profit - the USA where government allows them to set their own prices.

So Astra Zeneca will come to the USA and set their price at $250,000 per dose in order to get the profits the UK government has effectively stolen from them.

That is how the USA is subsidizing the world healthcare system. It applies to drugs, medical equipment and much more. This is real.

A liberal critic will now say, well the USA government must also control prices for the benefit of its citizens. At this point, we must refer to the initial basic agreements of this discussion. If you read this far, you must have agreed that -

If Astra Zeneca didn't have the option of making their profits from the USA, they wouldn't have invested in producing Kakabra. The investments by these greedy drug companies is the reason we have so many miracle drugs today that improve lives all over the world.

And it doesn't end there. We all know that government guaranteed healthcare is expensive and imposes high taxation. One of the ways European governments get the money is by abandoning their obligations to defend themselves, they spend their defense budgets on free healthcare and other welfare goodies. It's the United States that funds the defense of Europe.

Immediately Donald Trump won the election, the German government collapsed because they knew they would have to fund the Ukraine War alone and some of their Ministers refused approve borrowing or increasing taxes to pay for it. This was the explicit reason for the fall of the government, that alone tells a lot.

It's alright though. Life isn't fair.

Good Luck to Nigeria.
Mr Ibe,

I have read your posts, especially on the breakdown of basic economics, and all I can say is: well done! You are a good, mellow and thoughtful teacher. Some of us would have been pissed since in a bid to re-teach secondary school economics to grown adults. It is funny how some people malign capitalism yet use the results of its system and work in profit-oriented organisations. This is similar to those who champion open borders but would kick against Fulani herdsmen domiciling in their communities.

Well done!

Good Luck to Nigerians.

The reason Sweden doesn't need a minimum wage, and has a higher income, is the density of Union memberships, which is at 69%, compared to the USA that's only at 10%. Meaning majority of workers are part of a union there.

This has the effect of having a stronger collective bargaining power by workers, to the extent that even the minority of non unionized workers benefit from it.

You can see something to a similar effect in the USA if you compare the income of Unionized workers, to non unionized workers.

....When she expressed this to her then-school counselor, the counselor told her “that she was transgender and called her parents to tell them the same.”

Magnoliaa:

Yes, just like I've mentioned that it is only a fraction of men commiting the larger percentage of crimes. One violent, sexual pervert/suicide bomber/mass shooter can wreck a recoiling disaster.

A few trolls on NL have silenced or sent away many active women on here.

How do you ensure that women in vulnerable spaces like care homes, rape/homeless shelters, prisons, or anywhere that requires them to be naked are protected from any rando just waltzing in and getting catered to, just because he claims he's a woman?

Another point I made was also about the fact of -biology-. TWs would not be trans if they weren't (born) males. And I said all males, especially as strangers, pose a potential danger to most women (even if he's suppressing his T; especially when he has gone through puberty). This is not the same thing as saying that they are violent/dangerous in actuality. So I would not be less worried if a male-bodied person got close to my space in public, and smiled at me, all the while thinking himself a 'sis', just like me, in his head.

You may see it as a few violent transwomen, I see it as continuing male violence against women, but now under the protected status of "trans."

I do not dispute that women don't already face all forms of violence and discrimination from the general public, but 'self-IDing' will make it much more worse, because the regular perpetrators of such can do all claiming a marginalised status. And any crime against women will be treated on an individual basis, and not within the context of a structural issue.

And have you ever heard of the term "social contagion?"

The trans community might be a small percentage of people but the things they clamor for has implications for the larger percentage of people in society. The redefinition of languages and words and laws protecting sex-based rights. Medically transitioning children (treatments whose long-lasting effects have yet to be holistically documented), and even performing irreversible surgeries on some in some cases.

https://www.reuters.com/investigates/special-report/usa-transyouth-data/

This link also shows you the spike in adolescents who identify as transgender. You can say the numbers are going up because there's an increasing level of societal acceptance for it, and a space for more people to explore their gender identities, but you will only be partly right. The numbers are increasing because there are kids who genuinely, erstwhile experienced dysphoria and are now coming out and there are kids being inundated with susceptible, subliminal messages of exploring their gender identities. It's a new 'cool'. Teenagers who should have grown up to be gays or lesbians now identify as the opposite sex... And then if a fully male-bodied person claims to be a woman, or to "feel like a female" on the inside, where does that leave people who are same-sex attracted? That is also the reason why homosexuality has now been redefined by them into "same-gender attraction." So two people with penìses in a relationship can call themselves lesbians, just because they identify as so, effectively reaffirming many misogynistic, straight men's belief that lesbians are just women who haven't "tasted" the right "dick."

Beyond the transwomen who commit extremely violent crimes, there are others who are casually misogynistic and assaulting to women.

See this post below. This is uncannily parallel to what men do to women. In all the time I've been on social media, I have never seen women going into the DMs of a man to harass and threatened him if he has 'jam-talked'. Everyone will drag him on their TLs and that's it. He's forgotten the next day. But whenever a woman goes viral for saying something wrong or posting a sexualized picture, men will take it beyond her comment section to her DMs.

Trans language also interferes with accurate crime reporting. Demands women address their rapists as a "she."

And so so many more.

So this is decidedly a different issue. This is about gender dysphoria, and it's a real one that is consequential to the trans community. The point of women having the right to say no to anyone who isn't woman is another.

My initial point has been on the older trans-identified males who suddenly think they are of a different gender, sex, at 36 or 56 y/o.

You'd outrightly be called a bigot for stating that this man, this goliath right in the picture below is a man. Mind you, it happened in Nigeria o. At a women-only event. So that I'm talking about this is not me engaging in 'Afghanistanism' or whatever.

But to address the very personal story you've shared- and I don't want to trivialize it in any way: that they've done everything they 'could' is not necessarily a failure on their part or on therapy... it is just the nature of mental illnesses. People who have suicidal ideations, and have even attempted suicide, still go on to want to try it again. For a number of reasons, and it is dysphoria in this case. It's a correlation/causation thing. 'Transitioning' might help relieve some, while not so much for others.

But most pro-trans people are treating these procedures as an holy grail, hammering on affirmation as the only way to help.

And mind you, gender dysphoria is a medical condition... but the whole conversation about transgenderism has been phrased as a "it's just who I am" or "how I was born" thing, as people who are just different from others... like is it all trans people who have gender dysphoria? Can someone be trans without having a mental health issue (dysphoria) or have transitioned? If yes, then what is the basis for their trans-ness? Being trans cannot at the same time be a matter of nature or innateness and a medical condition. Like nobody treat cancer or alopecia as some innate identity that should be validated or anything like that.

If we want to talk about it as a medical condition, then maybe the prevailing conversation around it would have been different. There would also be no terms like "assigned male at birth." Pro-trans people would not be arguing about being born in the wrong body or that children as young as two can know they are trans.

And I noticed you mentioned sexuality. If this is about a gay kid who hates being one, I'm sorry but what those parents would be doing to him would be conversion therapy as transitioning. if you meant gender dysphoria...then okay. That's one issue with the movement too. Its proponents obscure language and update term at will that you're never able to keep up with exactly what they are talking about. Why does gender, which they claim is a social construct, needs to be "treated" through biological changes? If you've never lived as the opposite sex before, how do you ascertain that what you're feeling like is what it's like to be the opposite sex?

Wo, I have a lot to say on the matter and I feel like I've spoken too much. Let me just end here.

You can live as how want, but:

- Humans are a sexually dimorphic species
- A man is an adult human male, and a woman vice versa, and it is impossible for one to become the other.

These are black and white enough and it is not a question of subjective or psychology.
