I understand your annoyance with how OP crafted his post. However, the reality is that someone with an open mind who leaves Nigeria to live for a short period of time in developed countries or places where the system works would be angry with the state of Nigeria. Nevertheless, that is not necessarily a place to "curse" Nigeria, but ponder why our case is different. I say this because as much as Switzerland is highly developed, black people don't have an equivalent. Chinese do, so do the Japanese and Koreans. Even Arabs now do in the place of Dubai.

That should be the focal point: how come others have a functioning enclave of theirs, but we don't?

P.S. Enclave should have at least 5 million residents before someone mentions Botswana and Barbados to me. 🙄
Cold fact is us Nigerians are not ready for change because of their corrupt mindset. The day I realized just now undisciplined we are was when, some years back I started using BET buses to commute to work. When we are on the queue, people kept on looking for ways and means to jump the line , so half the time we spent there, people quarreled nonstop. To even maintain the line was a problem because people were always trying to disrupt the line.

It was that period I realized we have a big problem in this country. These same people will carry this mindset of cutting corners into every sector of the economy and call it "smartness", and that's why things are just not working because us Nigerians work actively to sabotage the system for our own selfish benefits. The people in authority are too focused on primitive accumulation of wealth to the detriment of development.

We can't be like Switzerland because we lack the discipline, foresight and selflessness to make things work as they should.

Another ungrateful fellow. It appears the money he is spending in Gallivanting all over the globe was made in Nigeria but he still manages to call Nigeria shithole. The problem with Nigeria is that some people living in the country are ungrateful, self centered, greedy and selfish people.

boss why waste your breath on that thing, you see most of them who can't keep shut when they travel outside are as poor as church rat, na their type people from 9ja dey send money for even as they are in Europe so hunger and homelessness won't kill them, the big boys and girls who are earning well and doing good jobs are not always showing off online just so they can front and cover there I adequacies, but you see those broke and suffering ones like the op, them no fit rest, boy for 9ja hold side pass them, so don't stress it allow him leave in social media delusion when him post finish he will go and eat what even a low income earner here will reject, all because he spent his change on data to impress and massage his ego.

I've been to a lot of countries, and I must say that the cost of living in Switzerland is really high. The average price of a bottle of water here is $5. When I arrived last week, I spent 55 dollars on a pack of bottled water, which didn't even last for a week. I've been here for 9 days now, and I must say that my bank account is really feeling the heat. Everything here is damn expensive. Switzerland is for the rich abeg. Nothing anybody wan tell me. Today, when I went shopping for groceries, I thought I was going to spend not more than 80 dollars, but to my utmost surprise, I ended up spending over 200 dollars on little items. When I was in Norway, Australia and Netherlands, I thought that the cost of living was high (these countries are quite expensive to live in), but this is just on another level. I'm leaving here on Saturday abeg, before my account starts wailing.

Guys, let me use this medium to drop a piece of advice. If anyone is advising you to leave Nigeria, show gratitude to that person, because he/she wants the best for you. I've been touring for 6 months now, and I must confess that Nigeria is a sh*thole. This is actually an understatement. If there was a worse word to use to attribute Nigeria, I'd have used it. Once I'm done with my travels, I'm permanently relocating to a European country. I'm just using this medium to gather my facts first, before making a final decision.

I'm an American citizen by birth, but I've not lived there for 2 straight years; I've been on and off. America is kinda cool, but I've no interest in living there permanently. UK and Canada are for introverted people, in my own opinion. Right now, I'm thinking of maybe Sweden or Germany for permanent relocation. I was forced to learn Deutsch, because I studied in Germany from 2016-2022; before relocating back to Nigeria, to handle my Dad's businesses. I learn languages fast, but it took me 6 months to almost perfectly learn Deutsch language. I now speak English, French, Spanish, Deutsch, Latin, and a little bit of Hebrew. I'll be posting more with time. Merry Christmas in advance guys.

All this charlatans in abroad always come online to talk rubbish, since life is fair to you enjoy it without forcing it on us.

The best Way is for all Nigerians to look for a way to make this country better, if all Nigerians follows this your mindset it means over 200M million Nigerians will have to leave this space and move to abroad. That can never happen because over 80 percent can't even afford to buy air ticket to Ghana.

Since life has been fair to you, all you've to do now is to pray for Nigeria.

Don't come online and tell us that we're stupid to still be in Nigeria.

How did you know Nigeria provided the dad the funds?
If the other places were so profitable his dad wouldn't have left to come do business in Nigeria

If Nigeria wasn't good to his family he wouldn't be enjoying the life he's living now

Most times the people who have the worst things to say about Nigeria are those who have benefited the most from it either through business or family links or those who are directly/indirectly responsible for some of the ills in the country.

No decent or astute human being would feel comfortable rubbishing his home/country in the presence of outsiders.

You ruined your beautiful write-up with your distasteful description of Nigeria. Please do better next time. Your father's businesses that thrived in the same Nigeria is the reason you can afford the globetrotting you are currently enjoying.

I love to learn new languages but find myself struggling at it. Please what techniques of faster learning can you suggest when learning new languages?

Please tell me what is tasteful about Nigeria at the moment?

If you check well, his dad may be one of the problems we have in Nigeria, directly or indirectly.
Maybe a close family relative.

Because we all know that it’s quite hard for normal hustling families even seemingly well to do ones to afford his kind of lifestyle he has briefly described here.

Pikin wey the parents struggle with “adashi” send go abroad, no go dey globetrot for 6 months naa…

But then, it is what it is…

Actually, harsh cold weather promotes development and civilization, not comfortable warm weather. Geography also plays a role.
