Well I understand how you feel but you can't blame them for either saying the truth. IRCC will use your case study and learn not to approve study permit to Nigerians even if they show 100 million Naira. This may affect even your own relative and others. Reason they refuse so many show fund account in Nigeria. These things have consequences. I just think you should make as much money you can in Canada now before the system sorts you out because it is a very tough scenario and only stuff like Asylum (which is hard to get now) can bail you out. You cannot justify your actions to IRCC under any circumstances. They will know you deceive them to get that study permit 100%. Fulani14: 4 Likes |

Great questions! First, make sure your study plan clearly shows how your chosen course connects to your career goals. This makes your application stronger. For financial proof, focus on providing official bank statements or sponsorship letters. As for delays, it helps to apply early and track your application online regularly. affoncad: Just to correct some things, the law says you can't be out of school for more than 150days. That's 5 months. I don't know about your friend you put out here, but as long as you didn't violate the conditions of your study permit which are you must be enrolled and actively studying with the DLI that brought you into the country, and you aren't out of school for more than 5 months and didn't work during that period the person was out of school, he would have no issue with his PGWP. |

zubizareta: Please note, the individual is not my friend; this is my error. I meant to write 5 months, not 3 months, but he was out of school for an entire semester without informing the IRCC and working due to financial difficulties . After changing schools and completing a new course, his post-graduate work permit application was refused. He sought asylum, but his application was unsuccessful this month . He has now been asked to vacate the hotel provided for asylum seeker in Toronto by February 2025, along with others in his asylum group. If you have the financial means to support his legal case or accommodation, or if you are in a position to offer legal services, please contact me.thank you |

BarbieGoldD: Write a Reconsideration Letter addressing the concerns raised by the visa officer and attached those documents he claimed was missing in your application and send it through webform to IRCC. I did something like that for my wife recently and the application was approved, but for a visit visa. 1 Like 1 Share |

Bobomaigida: One way to navigate life in Canada is to come prepared with your tuition fees and living expenses. Do not rely solely on working to cover these costs, as many students struggle to find jobs for months. Additionally, studying in Canada does not guarantee permanent residency (PR), despite the significant amount spent on education including loans. Many students regret coming to Canada via the study route but feel trapped due to shame or having nothing left at home after selling their property. To avoid such a situation, choose your course, province, and school wisely, considering the system's current needs, and plan carefully to prevent ending up in a difficult position! 2 Likes 1 Share |

Bobomaigida: You too can post a video showing something positive, and we can compare. This will provide a balanced viewpoint instead of just attacking the information being shared. Please, we need information! 2 Likes |

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 23 by clayfounder: 7:43am On Dec 26, 2024 |
Bobomaigida: Your question about whether I am old or new here is not smart because it is irrelevant to the discussion. Are you the administrator, or what exactly are you? This is not your personal space or bedroom , so let people post videos in peace. You can post a counter-video to share your positivity so we can all learn, but you cannot hide the reality of life in Canada. Both negative and positive arguments are equally important in making informed decisions about relocation via student route!! 5 Likes |

clayfounder: You still haven't bothered to check the history, if you did you will see there have been robust discussions about this from different members but alas you are waiting for someone to do the work for you. Also, it will serve you to start the thread from page 1, but clearly you won't. Wait for me to post videos for you. |

pinokio6634: Please choose single, even if your marriage is tomorrow and you are submitting your application today, you are still single in the eyes of the law, you can only claim married when you have marriage certificate. 5 Likes |

Predator188:hi, please i would to ask if IELTS was part of the required documents for the pre nursing program of Brandon University? What is the required score? I will hopefully be converting to domestic student before I commence my study. If I'm given an admission, is it part of the admission requirement to apply for a study permit immediately? |

orjohn24: Everyone might ignore this, but I believe it's the best advice anyone can give to someone coming to Canada via the student route in 2025: 1. Tuition fees and living expense: Everything said is FACTS but I will add You can't work to pay your tuition—it’s impossible. You will, however, be able to cover your rent, some bills, and buy food, and some basic stuff. 2. Studying in Canada does not guarantee permanent residency (PR): Look at the trends and average PR points to understand how you can increase your CRS score, assuming you already have a Canadian degree and work experience before you come https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/mandate/policies-operational-instructions-agreements/ministerial-instructions/express-entry-rounds.html 3. Choose your course, province, and school wisely: Don’t go to diploma mills just because they are cheaper—you’ll regret it in the long run. Let me add 2 more 4. Avoid Facebook visa agents: What more can I say about this? 😆😂 5. A new Conservative government is expected in 2025, and many changes to the immigration process are likely. Conservatives are known for capping immigration (both legal and illegal), so the numbers will likely drop below current levels. Small Good News: No matter which government is in power, Canada will always need international students. The only difference is that some governments may reduce the number of study permits issued, while others may increase them. 1 Like |
