Well I understand how you feel but you can't blame them for either saying the truth.

IRCC will use your case study and learn not to approve study permit to Nigerians even if they show 100 million Naira. This may affect even your own relative and others.

Reason they refuse so many show fund account in Nigeria. These things have consequences. I just think you should make as much money you can in Canada now before the system sorts you out because it is a very tough scenario and only stuff like Asylum (which is hard to get now) can bail you out. You cannot justify your actions to IRCC under any circumstances. They will know you deceive them to get that study permit 100%.

I will reserve all my comments either way. Thank you...

Great questions! First, make sure your study plan clearly shows how your chosen course connects to your career goals. This makes your application stronger. For financial proof, focus on providing official bank statements or sponsorship letters. As for delays, it helps to apply early and track your application online regularly. If you’re exploring career options after studying, vocational paths like this insightful guide on cdl training can be a game-changer. It’s a practical choice that aligns well with work permits, offering strong career prospects in Canada!

Hi, must I prove the source of funds in my sponsors account? (Including sums in that happened in the 6 months bank’s statement) What if she is a petty trader?

Please family, I need urgent help, i know this is study permit forum but i feel i can still get the best advise here. I have a challenge right now on my PR application. I am an outland applicant

please i need help. I got nomination with AAIP under rural Renewal stream path way. But had issue with employer business name not being active on CAC website, it is actually struck off as we speak, during the PNP the officer noted this and asked for clarifications which I was able to proof to the officer handling my file that though the company is not active on CAC portal, but it is active physically. I sent in taxes paid, signage and contracts gotten from state government, and was given nomination on that basis. Now my employer have started the process of reactivation and has made necessary payment but the portal did not allow to pay for the last year and we are asked to go to court for court order so the process can be completed and this always takes months before judge seat. Now the court hearing date is next year June. This means the employer business name would be inactive while my application is ongoing. Please note the PNP also saw this infact then it was even struck off but I was later granted nomination after my loe and submitted documents. Now I have applied for PR and waiting for AOR. I am scared cos of employment verification, I might not have the luck I had during PNP.

Don't Know if i should inform IRCC OR wait if they will contact me just like PNP did, but my fear is, what if they did not reach out and reject my application

Please what can I do, and way forward,
how can i handle this?

Wait it out. They will ask you for clarification hopefully as PNP did.

Let mclarify one thing first, so others don’t make the same mistake. Dropping out of school after just one month shows you were unprepared for the financial challenges of studying in Canada. Let’s set the exchange rate aside for now.

Secondly, you broke several rules. You cannot be out of school for more than three months, and even if you are, you must notify IRCC and are not allowed to work during that period. While some students managed to avoid consequences last year, schools have now started filing official reports, especially the University of Manitoba. Last year, this school required no tuition deposit, which was the main reason many students applied just to land in Canada, often following the advice of visa agents. You even asked the same question about this situation when you applied for your visa and again after you got it, so you were fully aware of the risks. What happened to all this advice and information? This stricter enforcement this year has made the situation even more challenging. Now, even to change schools, you must apply for a new study permit.

I know a student who did exactly what you did last year. He was out of school for even fewer months and then changed schools. However, after completing his program this year, his postgraduate work permit (PGWP) was refused. Instead of seeking proper legal advice like you doing now , a poorly informed quack individual advised him to claim asylum—a highly flawed approach to solving a PGWP rejection. His case was expedited, and just 3 months after applying for asylum he was giving very fast asylum hearing date with ircc offical present to add salt to his injury , his claim was denied because it was clearly weak. He is now on appeal, but given the current circumstances, it’s unlikely he will win.

Since you are now in a new school, the record of what you have done since arriving in Canada will significantly impact your future PGWP or PR applications. Seek professional advice immediately.l wish you all the best

Just to correct some things, the law says you can't be out of school for more than 150days. That's 5 months.
I don't know about your friend you put out here, but as long as you didn't violate the conditions of your study permit which are you must be enrolled and actively studying with the DLI that brought you into the country, and you aren't out of school for more than 5 months and didn't work during that period the person was out of school, he would have no issue with his PGWP.

Please note, the individual is not my friend; this is my error. I meant to write 5 months, not 3 months, but he was out of school for an entire semester without informing the IRCC and working due to financial difficulties . After changing schools and completing a new course, his post-graduate work permit application was refused. He sought asylum, but his application was unsuccessful this month . He has now been asked to vacate the hotel provided for asylum seeker in Toronto by February 2025, along with others in his asylum group. If you have the financial means to support his legal case or accommodation, or if you are in a position to offer legal services, please contact me.thank you

Hello nairaland Family. I just got my GCMS note this afternoon, how do i tackle this issue and get it right. I submitted my employment letter and payslip but the VO said it was not submitted. I was also self sponsored, but from the note, I saw, Sponsor's source of funds poorly documented and there is limited evidence showing how financial sponsor came to accumulate their saving, which I didnt use any sponsor. Please, how do i tackle this and get it right in the second application. What are the documents needed for this. Your inputs will be highly appreciated.

Attached is my GCMS note.

Write a Reconsideration Letter addressing the concerns raised by the visa officer and attached those documents he claimed was missing in your application and send it through webform to IRCC. I did something like that for my wife recently and the application was approved, but for a visit visa.

Wsx2, I do not understand this your campaign again, we have had discussions on this on this thread. People are saying Canada is bad, it is not worth it, it is expensive, but those people do NOT want to leave Canada. If it is so bad, why are they still there The best example anyone can give is after they have packed their bags, left Canada and then do their videos from their new locations.
What I am pleading with you, and I have told you this before, those of you there should be telling those outside how to navigate life in Canada when and if they decide to come.

One way to navigate life in Canada is to come prepared with your tuition fees and living expenses. Do not rely solely on working to cover these costs, as many students struggle to find jobs for months. Additionally, studying in Canada does not guarantee permanent residency (PR), despite the significant amount spent on education including loans. Many students regret coming to Canada via the study route but feel trapped due to shame or having nothing left at home after selling their property. To avoid such a situation, choose your course, province, and school wisely, considering the system's current needs, and plan carefully to prevent ending up in a difficult position!

No one has ever said it will be easy, people that will come to Canada will come. You cannot only be pushing the negative part, look for videos that also shows the positives and post.

You too can post a video showing something positive, and we can compare. This will provide a balanced viewpoint instead of just attacking the information being shared. Please, we need information!

I guess you are new here, where did you see me attack the poster? Have you bothered to see the history of my posts or the other party's posts here?

Your question about whether I am old or new here is not smart because it is irrelevant to the discussion. Are you the administrator, or what exactly are you? This is not your personal space or bedroom , so let people post videos in peace. You can post a counter-video to share your positivity so we can all learn, but you cannot hide the reality of life in Canada. Both negative and positive arguments are equally important in making informed decisions about relocation via student route!!

You still haven't bothered to check the history, if you did you will see there have been robust discussions about this from different members but alas you are waiting for someone to do the work for you. Also, it will serve you to start the thread from page 1, but clearly you won't. Wait for me to post videos for you.

Please choose single, even if your marriage is tomorrow and you are submitting your application today, you are still single in the eyes of the law, you can only claim married when you have marriage certificate.

Looks like overall Justin Trudeau's citizenship bill is better than Stephen harpers's government, while will a minor at 14 years required to take knowledge and language test for citizenship including 64 years.
Citizenship cannot be revoked for serious crimes under harper's government, countries like UK and US revokes citizenship for serious crimes including terrorism..
All features on 2 ,3 4 ,6 ,7, 8 bill is reasonable with Justin trudeau.

hi, please i would to ask if IELTS was part of the required documents for the pre nursing program of Brandon University? What is the required score? I will hopefully be converting to domestic student before I commence my study. If I'm given an admission, is it part of the admission requirement to apply for a study permit immediately?

Hi all,

I will be arriving in Ottawa tomorrow, 27th of December as a student.

Is there anyone that will like to connect with me? Also, I am a Data Analyst and I don't mind any lead that can get me my first job in Canada

Lastly, I need student accommodation in Ottawa. Max rent should be around 700 cad. Thanks

Everyone might ignore this, but I believe it's the best advice anyone can give to someone coming to Canada via the student route in 2025:

1. Tuition fees and living expense:
Everything said is FACTS but I will add
You can't work to pay your tuition—it’s impossible. You will, however, be able to cover your rent, some bills, and buy food, and some basic stuff.

2. Studying in Canada does not guarantee permanent residency (PR):
Look at the trends and average PR points to understand how you can increase your CRS score, assuming you already have a Canadian degree and work experience before you come https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/mandate/policies-operational-instructions-agreements/ministerial-instructions/express-entry-rounds.html

3. Choose your course, province, and school wisely:

Don’t go to diploma mills just because they are cheaper—you’ll regret it in the long run.

Let me add 2 more

4. Avoid Facebook visa agents:
What more can I say about this? 😆😂

5. A new Conservative government is expected in 2025, and many changes to the immigration process are likely. Conservatives are known for capping immigration (both legal and illegal), so the numbers will likely drop below current levels.

Small Good News:
No matter which government is in power, Canada will always need international students. The only difference is that some governments may reduce the number of study permits issued, while others may increase them.
