This is why most Nigerians fail in business. I am not a novice in that field. Can you venture into beans farming with his analysis? Be honest.

You are indeed a local farmer. You should know your farm size then know the minimum and max output. That's how you gather data to assist those who are about to venture into crop production.
This is why Africa will never develop. Too much English...

Excellent. Well done.

The rest should continue to fold their arms or waste their time being abusive on social media demanding that 'Tinubu should bring down the cost of food'.

Tell them to farm, they can't, won't, or refuse, but they expect a President to do abracadabra in Aso Rock and use incantations to make foods fall from the sky.

You are a diligent and commendable citizen.

By this single action, you have contributed your small quarter to bringing down the price of beans in the coming months.

The deluded and entitled yoots should continue to refuse to farm and keep on whingeing. It's up to them.
exactly prices of beans has gone down to 1900 per mud from 3500 I got it 2/3 months ago.the smaller varieties now is around 1200/1300 per mud.

This year has been a blessed year to most farmers. I had a bountiful harvest from my beans farm this year. I sold over 20 bags and I kept enough to last me the next 12 months in my house. Apart from the ones I shared to family, friends and neighbors.

Farming is very lucrative these days. It's easy to become a millionaire via farming now. As few bags of farm produce will give you millions.

Thanks, Jare. They are so quick to discourage cultivation of beans in the South. When I was a kid in the 80's, my aunt used to plant beans in our compound in Ogba, Ikeja, Lagos. And we used to harvest the red beans after some months. I am now in my mid 40's. Beans can grow in the South with good farming methods . Cheers.

I don't know the size of my farm. I've never measured it. However, it's not by the size of farm. It is by how well you take care of your Beans farm. The major factors that affect the output of your Beans farm include: how you keep your beans farm from weeds, the time you plant your Beans (beans doesn't like too much rain), application of insecticide etc

When you do it right, you will have a bountiful harvest in a small piece of land.

Great job and some motivational speech but that's why you're a local farmer.

In farming, size is very key. That's why when you go for pitching, they'll ask you the size of your farm and your area of specialty. The idea is to know if you should acquire a larger land or they outsource for you.

No hate and enjoy your harvest but get your land measured. It's good for biz...

Again congratulations 🎉🎉🎉

Southerners have to wake up and smell the coffee. Most of the agriculture inputs are taken to the North. I don't know what the southern governors are doing concerning fighting for Agricultural inputs to be shared to Farmers in the south in large numbers. Most of the crops planted in the North can also grow in the South. Even sobo leaves, ginger, onions etc. I have seen guinea corn growing on roadsides in semi rural areas of Lagos State e.g Agbowa, Imota etc. Give it a trial and develop on gradually.

How some of you just pick your phone up and start typing rubbish is amazing.

So every Nigerian who are not farmer can't blame the president for the policy somersault currently killing us?
Must everyone be a farmer? Those who work 9-5 can't complain abi?
How about you tell us your village then give us all farmlands for free so we can farm.

That is why all these development commissions in the south should spend more on agriculture. As for state governors, those ones are irredeemable or should i say are focusing on things that are not priority. Between now and 2030, what all governors should focus on like a mad man is food security, not airports here and there. And the North corner some of these funds, and when the funds come here, na portfolio farmers i hear say go corner am too. Not that it doesn't happen in Middle Belt or core North, but at least, I believe an effective amount reaches them. Look at Niger State governor with what he is doing with farming and all that. Except Oyebanji of Ekiti, I am still yet to see governors who are serious now, maybe Sanwo Olu with some recent agricultural projects sha. But I think Oyo should take the lead but they are falling hand.

Agriculture is enough to pull Nigeria out. Imagine South-South being the stronghold for fisheries, rice farming too, and all kinds of sea foods in commercial quantities....etc. But then...sad.

I was reluctant to reply at first cos of laziness. Anyway, just load your beans in an airtight jerrycan. We keep ours in a jerrycan. Make sure it is airtight and your beans will be safe all year round. It will last over a year and those silly weavils will find it hard to breed. They gon' keep dying and your beans will be dry.
