Wait o! The impression I had was that only indigenous from the five eastern states are the igbos as the south south usually claim they're not igbo. Ikwerre that I know is in Rivers State, which is south south! And I don't expect a south southerner to be a president of Ndigbo that is association of Igbo worldwide! Well, maybe I was wrong with that impression and someone should pls enlighten me. I am not igbo but I wish to know! All the same, congratulations to him. |

ejieddy: Empty brain, over 70 of your cesspit oil is located in Igbo territories from Rivers state to AkwaIbom, Cross Rivers, Delta states and Igbanke in Edo state. The gas in your cesspit is 99 percent located in Igbo territory from Imo state to Abia state, to Anambra basin which covers Ebonyi and Enugu states. Go and google to get educated, you daft and dumb mofo. 1 Like |

yemre: Lol, you’re confusing yourself. Igboland has existed for centuries before the British arrived. Before 1914, there was nothing like south south, and nothing like Rivers state. Ethnicity and tribes has nothing to do with regions or states created for political reasons. The last Ohanaeze president before the late Iwuanyawu was from Delta state, Ralf Uwaechue. Is Delta state not in your so-called south south? One of the greatest Biafran soldiers ever was Air raid Joe Achuzie, he is from present day Delta state. Aside from Ikwere, there are other Igbo tribes in Rivers state including the Asa, Ndoni, Etche, Ogba, Egbema etc. It was the turn of Rivers state to produce Ohanaeze president and thus Uche was elected based on that. Lastly, aside the 5 South east states, there are native Igbos in the following states: 1. Delta. 2. Edo. 3. Rivers. 4. Bayelsa. 5. Benue. 6. Kogi. 7. Akwa Ibom. 8. Cross river. Are you surprised to realize that there are Igbos in all the so-called south south states😂😂. There are also Igbos in 2 northern states😂😂. Igbos are native to a total of 13 states out of Nigeria’s 36 states. 1 Like |

waternogatenemy: Both Benin and Ikwere history agree that the Ikweres did not migrate from bini Ogba is a different ball game though even though they have linguistic and cultural ties to the Ikwere people language or names don't mean much. For instance, the Olukumi (Ugbodu) people in Aniocha have been dropping their Yoruba names for Aniocha ones. As the Olukumi language dialect is also going extinct, some three hundred from now, we will argue that they never had Yoruba origins and find some Igbo meaning for Olukumi. |

monex: YORUBA INVASION OF IGODOMIGODO HAS A WELL KNOWN TIMELINE. WE KNOW THOSE WHO FLED. WE ALSO KNOW THOSE YORUBA THAT FOLLOWED THEM BEYOND BINI, LIKE OLUKUMI. IKWERRE ARE RELATED TO OWERRI PEOPLE, TAKE IT OR LEAVE IT, THEY WERE NEVER IN BINI BUT HAVE AMONG THEM PEOPLE FROM NEIGHBOURS WHO WERE IN BINI. I.E OGBA, EKPEYE, EGBEMA OSHIMILI ETC THEY EVEN HAVE PEOPLE FROM AROCHUKWU. AT A TIME KALABARI PEOPLE COMING FROM CALABAR/AROCHUKWU SETTLED IN IKWERRE LAND. |

monex:What are you talking about?. Olukumi knows their history very well, while it is true that the language has been diluted with Igbo. Lukumi scholars have documented the original language. There is also a festival whereby the history & language is been celebrated. -Kiss the truth! |

TimeManager: lukumi language is actually among endangered languages. There needs to be more conscious effort to prevent it from going extinct |

You are still seeing Yorubas in your dreams shey?? Was it Yorubas that open countless threads online denying the igbo heritage of ss igbós?? Izit not your mischievousness that make igbós deny the southsouth igbós whenever it suits them?? At least from now on, no ndigbo will henceforth deny the igboship of major chukuma nzeogu. waternogatenemy: |
