Good and inspiring message.
Let's get to work immediately, no long story.

It's now assured he can speak English fluently, or was this write up translated?

From d unveiling ceremony I watched ,his English is not bad …better Dan peseiros’ ,let say on communicable level .

Powerful speech I must say. I almost ordered jersey and boot to go to the street and start training. On a serious note, Eric Chelle sounds like someone who can inspire the players to do better.

He also sounds very ambitious and I am glad he believes in how well we can perform.

My support is in.
And also like someone who is ready to work really hard to achieve results.
Only if NFF will make environmental conducive enough for him,it's not enough to sound ambitious in environment where you can easily be frustrated, he has to have tough mind also.
Good as he also posses humility to balance everything.

Odegbami replaces Ikedia
Okwaraji replaces Chidi Odia
Okorowanta replaces Okoronkwo
Nwosu replaces Ogbuke

I will modify,
I re-watched Odegbami's clips, I was impressed.

I could not find enough clips on Okwaraji, Nwosu and Okorowanta to make judgment.
They can only be included on top 30 list.

Go and make your own top 20 list and stop ridiculing players who could not go further in their careers.

Ironically, I never saw Ikedia as a headless running footballer. He is one of my best players to ever play for Nigeria. He rejected the U17 and headed straight to the U20. In the U20 world cup in Nigeria, he was one of the best players of the tournament. He walked from the U20 straight into the Super Eagles.

Even in the Super Eagles, Ikedia was the go to guy a lot of times when we were building attack.

I wonder how I can get Nigeria vs Ireland, 2nd round of Nigeria 99, World Youth Championship.

That game will make any doubter understand how good Pius Ikedia was.
no mind me 😂 ikedia I remember causes so much havoc with his running and movement but for me he can't be top of most skillful Nigerian player

After many years of following the SEs, all this speeches doesn't move me, I just want to see him do the talking on the pitch.
Im neither for nor against his appointment, just want to see our SE playing good football and winning games. I wish him all the best.

Stanley Okoro made me shout "Yee!!" those years. It's a shame he didn't blossom
so doing rabona and leg overs are what we see as skills 👏

Can't remember why his career was shortlived though. Ogbeche was another skillful player. Bartho made à name for himself unfortunately he also didn't last long.

Bro I watched ikedia from Nigeria 99, yes his running can be annoying at times but he was a good winger. For yahaya a good player but my top 20 most skillful 🤦‍♂️ he won't make my to 30

Nwakali get stamina and he sabi run wella. I don press one button.

TheGoodJoe:
Some things we should know about our new coach, Eric Chelle.

1. He is very strict and demands discipline from all players. He has no room for big boys.

2. His philosophy and tactics rules his actions. Any player that does not fit in, no matter the level of the player will be cut off.

3. His system demands a lot of running. If you can't run and keep up stamina, sorry.

4. He hates interference with his work and is a kind of man that will not allow it.

5. We can expect new players to break into the team because if he sees anyone that suits his strategy, the person has a chance to break into the team.

Ironically, he was a good player but his attacking style did not suit Okocha's style. I think Ogbeche suited Ebiede more. Ogbeche liked the ball released early to him when in space while Okocha preferred breaking the midfield with his skills to create room for the forwards.

Okocha's style was pointed out by some analysts as a hinderance to Ogbeche. Ogbeche had a history of being a good player from FGC Okigwe to Unical to the local league scene.

Unfortunately, despite the array of creative midfielders in that time, Abubakar Musa, Ebiede, Ibeji, Oruma etc, Okocha was untouchable to get dropped. So Ogbeche had to go.

That tactical perspective is what I am not sure of. I don't really know if Eric Chelle plays with a deep lying playmaker. Remember he dropped Bissouma from his side as the AFCON progressed. So I am not really sure if Kelechi Nwakali's deep control side will work for Chelle. He is the one to decide.

How Bonfere Jo made Okocha reduce his dribbling at the Olympics but other national team coaches failed to do that.

It's one thing to believe. It's a bigger thing to make others believe. I've always desired a coach that believes in our true potentials. I do hope he is dreaming beyond Africa. All the same, a very good way to start.

Oruma never had a good run in the Eagles because of Okocha. So sad

And what do you understand by "skillful"?
If rabona and stepovers are not part of skills in football, then what is?
They are no longer part of football skills to u only because u have seen too much of them.

When R9 popularized stepovers in the '90s,there was nothing like it.

U go just sit back in ur house downplaying other people's effort with ur phone,
just try to enter pitch a little bit and attempt to perform rabona or stepovers against ur opponents, let's see how far.

Eric Chelle’s contract details:

1. Two-year contract.

2. Option of another year, if he qualifies the Super Eagles to the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals.

3. Chelle will come with three assistants, and will work with the crew on ground to enhance the Super Eagles’ brand.

4. He will be with the Super Eagles B, which is preparing for the upcoming 8th African Nations Championship, only in a supervisory role.
