Honestly, there is nothing bad in falling in love with a single mother in fact my very close friend got married to one after he has tried dating different ladies and they ended up leaving him. Funny enough, one got pregnant for him and pinned the baby on him .However, at thesame time, it all boils down to preference. I for example, will never think of getting married to a single mother because I cant imagine knowing that the first child of my wife does not belong to me but from some one else. Fact is not all single mothers are bad but most happens to be bad and not marriageable with few exceptions. I can risk taking care of some one else child and the father will one day come and take the glory. I dont know the kind of parental troubles or excess baggage the father of the child has ; most especially issues of ancestral curses. In essence, I say a big thumbs up to people who ended up getting married to one, it is not easy, we that cannot do it should not discourage them.

Now I see why you defend the notion - you're not financially comfortable/independent. That's fair enough. If you need to use this to increase your financial standing in the society, I support it. But I will forever be against a financially independent man who built himself to marry a single mother. This is because when he had nothing, the same lady would've had NOTHING to do with him when she was completely single.
