As for those who say Amunike is not qualified to be the head coach, I wish them luck.
It is a replay of what the Lagos-Ibadan media did to the poor guy in 2014/2015.

Immediately he commenced the preliminary stages of U-17 team selection process they descended on him and labelled him all sorts(ethnic jingoist, sectionalism, etc)
Their grouse was that he had a handful of Igbos in his team.

When his team did not win the U-17 AFCON title, they mounted pressure on the NFF to remove him but Pinnick would take none of that.
Pinnick led a delegation of the NFF to Chile after we thrashed Brazil 3-0 in the quarter finals and there he praised Amunike for silencing his critics. He told the boys to listen to everything Amunike told them because he(Amunike) played at the highest level including for Barcelona.

Today, some of his boys are among the key players in our senior team.

Story. Amunike's case is pure ethnicity. They know he is good. If Amunike was a Northerner or Yoruba man, he would have landed that job in a flash. Let us tell ourselves the truth. That was why his U17 team was the most sabotaged and his U20 suffered the same. That was why they had a cold reception after winning the U17 World Cup.

Unless you have a credible reason, I only see his ethnicity as the problem.
You are better than this

When his CV is brutally above the competition, I see some bad eggs switching to plan B of giving him the job and massively sabotaging the person. We saw it with Stephen Keshi. It was literally open. He was winning games and qualifying for a tournament and still getting reports of bringing in a technical adviser (won't mention the name of the person but a footballing Super Eagles legend).

This time, I think those eggs did not want to take the gamble.
but if I say Keshi dropping Martins and Taiwo is tribalism you’ll start to argue, I’m not surprised by your shallow thought tho just think you can do better

We have won the U-17 world cup only 5 times since its inception. Amunike has 2: one as assistant coach, another as head coach.

Amunike took a rag-tag Tanzanian team through the AFCON qualifiers and secured the ticket.

Amunike played for top clubs like Sporting Lisbon and Barcelona.

Amunike scored decisive goals that won Nigeria international laurels.

Amunike has a top coaching license.

Stop the hate guys!!

Sorry, the point does not stick to me. We are talking about making Amunike the head coach and him suffering terrible sabotage when he was head coach of different National teams. These are pure facts and truth. I don't need to prove it. Picking an unqualified Finidi over him is a fact. I don't need to prove it. Calling him to tactically make inputs to help Eguavoen in I think a two game tie is nothing.
every single coach dead or alive white or black have suffered different level of sabotage as you call it (incompetence is the right word tho) by the NFF

No be collabo coachila dem do? 😂😂
Goodjoe is right you don't put the failure of a head coach on the assistant. Finidi was Peseiro assistant and was employed even after sacking peseiro. Ivory Coast hire Fae an assistant to the head coach. But when it comes to Amuneke it all changes, he must also carry the blame. That's why Goodjoe feels there's a conspiracy against Amuneke

Oga u said that Ronaldinho is considered the most skillful because of the techniques he uses to executes his skills, I agree with u.

Pls what are the names of those techniques ,I no won hear body movement because it's not a particular technique.

Let's say he want to execute those skills u listed like dribbling, passing and shooting,
What are the names of the techniques Ronaldinho would use in executing his dribbles, passing and shooting that distinct him from others?

This is simple enough.
Dinho was renowned for his close ball control allowing him to navigate tight spaces. his dribbling abilities, free-kick accuracy, his use of tricks, feints, no-look passes, and overhead kicks, as well as his ability to score and create goals. These are all what makes Dinho very skillful. I don't know what you want me to say again. Step overs abi Rabona alone can't make Dinho the most skill player. Finito

I would think that Eguavon is a mockery of the term "technical director" because he clearly is not. He is just a stand-in coach unfortunately.

He is eminently qualified to be one but the hawkish politicians wouldn't allow any reasonable thought to prevail.

I thought it was part of the roles of technical teams to shop for coaches.
Eguavoen should goan coach an NPL side and leave that technical director thing he's doing or better still go for refresher course and stop waiting on the sideline for coaches to be sacked so he can come in as interim.

When the Portuguese journeyman left with his boring defensive tactics, everyone was clamouring for Amunike to be given the job. It was just natural.

In the following weeks, paid hands from the usual quarters started producing articles and write-ups about how Amunike would have a fierce and querulous relationship with the NFF ...bla bla bla. Before one could say jack, enter Finidi!!
The rest is history.

Igbos have now been officially barred from holding any tangible coaching position in the Nigeria and that is why we are here moving from Finidi to Eguavon to Mali...next is China or Cambodia. THE BIG NIGERIAN PROBLEM

I am backing Eric Chelle to do well because that will be a win-win situation for us and for African coaches.

Are the thieving politicians running football interested in Chelle succeeding? Never!
Very soon the government will release billions for the so-called WCQ project.

There is no Senegal in our group, no Morocco or Egypt. Just Rwanda and Benin and we have had 4 coaches. Una well done 🤝

Oga we just hired a new coach and he's yet to play his first game wait for when there's vacancies for the SE job then you can start this Amunike campaign.

Not in the level of Amunike that his conquering U17 team had to travel with slippers and no winter coats or allowances.

I am talking of the level of sabotage Amunike suffered. Saying others were sabotaged does not counter the point.

It's terrible. I have never been a fan of changing coaches like this. I hope this current coach stays at least until the next Afcon to maintain some form of stability, no matter the immediate results.

Taiwo's case was clearly explained by coach Sylvanus Okpala. Keshi overhead Taiwo planning to sabotage the team to fail and he got axed.

I think Martins was dropped due to poor performances in that window.
