If her last period ended on 2nd of January and her cycle is 28 day and regular, then her ovulation should be around 16th of January.

Then, how could a lady, who is suppose to ovulate around 16th January, be tested positive for pregnancy on 14th January?

Unless she has ultra short cycle. And even at that, it is unusual to detect pregnancy within days of conception.

As a fellow man, the advice I have for you is kindly do a DNA test upon delivery. This will set the record straight.
