so since 2013 and 2015 set, NFF can not assemble another set of super kids from u17/u20 or what…
-Osimhen
-Chukwueze
-Ndidi
-Iheanacho
-Awoniyi
-Nwakali etc
in as much i will love our federation to cap-tie/call up some of those eligible Nigerian, we need another rising generation of u17 kids na…super eagles has always been a blend of home grown kids and foreign breed discoveries
Including U-20 and U-23.

Late appointment of the wrong set of coaches and abandoning the system that used to work are the main reasons for this.
There are still talents at the academies and beyond across the nation.

Our U-23 team for instance should be best used in trying out some of these upcoming players and some of the not yet established foreign borns to give them a sense of belonging.
I remember when Siasia took Ekong to the Olympics, because of his good performance at the Olympics, he went straight to the main super eagles team back from the Olympics.

The Belgians are in rebuild mode and are looking for their next generation of talent. At the very least, Dessers would've gotten a single cap in nations league match.
Dessers is 30 years old and plays for Rangers
The Belgium team wouldn't be rebuilding with that

Currently Belgium has
Lois Openda
Leandro Trossard
Charles De Ketelaere
There is even a young Norman Bassette if they are looking to rebuild
Even Mbangula who can play as a second striker

There's no way Dessers will even make the bench

If we're talking 2-3 years ago I think Dessers would have the very least have been squad member of the Belgian national team. Apart from Lukaku which decent forward did Belgium have 3 years ago?

Trying to get back in form. OK
Philosopher1979:

Awoniyi has been injured since around March next year. He just came back from injury around November. Another player us benching him and gradually, he is getting back to form. His lack of game time is an issue but his coach still support him.
Saduq umar got a season long injury. When he came back, he started struggling with game time. He us now in valencia from real sociedadad. Again, he is trying to get back in form.
They are good players but they need time to get back in form.
Don't you follow Nigerian players

Thank you sir
Kog45:
Awoniyi and Umar are not back cuz I don't see scoring a goal after long laid off due to fitness as back in form....or do we say Onuachu is back for scoring first EPL goal.

3 years ago Dessers was playing for Cremonese
He still wouldn't have made the team
There was a Batshuayi, Origi and Benteke who would all have been picked ahead of him

We've generally had very poor cadet coaches post covid.

The Olympics would have been a perfect place to try out all our prospects but the unseriousness of the NFF really cost us. Imagine we qualified for the last olympics in Paris it would have been a no brainer to take Ebenezer, Eletu, Daga, Benjamin Fredrick, Osuji. I'm sure featuring at sure a high ;evel of competition would have made them extra ready for the SE.

Batshuayi? lol, Origi decent but not exactly awe inspiring, plus a Benteke on the decline. I think Dessers would have had a fair chance against these guys.

Sheffield Wednesday are considering a move for Nottingham Forest forward Emmanuel Dennis, Deal likely to be tricky for the Owls and a number of other clubs are said to be interested in Dennis from England and abroad. #NFFC

Lecce are among the clubs to have enquired about signing Leicester City winger Laolu Omobolaji.

The Foxes are believed to be keen on tying down the 17-year-old, who is a regular for the under-18s, to a new deal.

It's not just open screening alone, their U-13 and U-15 teams were use to be taken seriously.

Maybe those projects were abandoned due to change of leadership or the incompetent of the new board,or lack of foresight,I don't know.
But if u are telling me to believe that they abandoned the system that works just because it worked ,i won't because that's simply not true .

The fact there is that Nwakali was discovered by our youth system as a big potential, whether he went on to fulfil that or not for whatever reasons, may be lack of discipline, laziness or bad luck is of no consequence, the process that discovered him is .

Was it 4 years ago he led feynoord to the finals of conference league. Where he was golden boot winner. And where feynoord practically begged him to remain in their team so they could build around him. I think Arnie Slot was also his manager at that time.

Feyenoord begged him to stay?
Feyenoord didn't sign him because of the transfer fee
Even at feyenoord it would been hard for him to make the Belgium team

Feynoord offered to build their team around him . They were going to play to his strength. He has the choice and when he secretly met Cremonese official for a deal. He was looking for a big leap to a big 5 league. Unfortunately it didn't work out well.
